10/10. I’ll review this as an anime enjoyer as well as a ex professional stage composer/producer/musician/roadman. Disclaimer, i will be more full nerd mode on analyzing the music. If you are not a music freak, maybe this anime will be somewhat tough to watch tho.
I’ll start with the best part of the anime, the music.
This anime is too good to be true. I’m a hardcore music enthusiast, not an elitist, i enjoy every genre i came across. From classical, rock, metal, folk, jpop/rock and all other genre and sub-genre that i can’t mention one by one because it would be too long.
I judge music based
...
on the composition, for me theres 2 indicators of a great music. Balance composition instrumental wise in arrangements and the amount of effort that the song quality is made. Quality is not just based pure on how its sounds only. but i also rate on how i feel “how much effort” the composer put to compose the song.
The songs from this anime has the most balanced vocal, percussion, guitar, bass balance sound wise. On par with Bocchi, as much as i love music and every instrument, i love bass the most on Jpop/rock because they brings out the full potential of the instrument. The reason i love hiroi kikuri’s SICK HACK.
Before i dive into the bass culture in Jpop/rock, i was a person who think RHCP bass lines was hellish, everything changes after i was focusing on the funk, fusion jazzy style of bass lines in Jpop/rock. Jpop/rock’s bass line is harder than any other genre i’ve ever came across. Tool is hard, Dream Theater is also hard, but they are PROG sub genre are popular outside if Japan. But outside of japan an outsider usually only know 4 Genre of japanese music. Classic, Ballad, Pop and Rock.
This anime not only incorporate Jpop/rock on the song choices, but surprisingly MIDWEST EMO, POST PUNK, some could also define SHOEGAZE. Usually i only hear classic, jazz, blues and particularly bunch of fusion in an anime with music theme. These few genres i didn’t even think to hear in an anime.
But to be honest i was disappointed that the songs only came in 4/4, theres not much variety except for the genres, but because of the variety of genre that exist in this anime alone i don’t have the problem with the beat selection.
The Anime,
I will only say 1 spoiler and its not really a spoiler, but the build up from emo poetry into midwest emo into post-rock WAS AN ABSOLUTE CINEMA. a masterpiece like Bocchi’s improv in their first live!
This anime is really well made, story wise, character writing animations. Good Job well done. Even though it utilize 3D CGI heavy, theres no sign of lazy animations. As far as i can see, theres few “human posture” that feels unhuman. Example, sometimes their arms hangs uncomfortably not very human like. Thats it.
How the characters feeling is well incorporated with the build up and a bridging for the songs is masterfully done. The vocal’s imbalance shakes when its emotional is very realistic. The first rehearsal being not good and out of tune both the vocals and instruments is very well done. This is very realistic amateur band situation on handling first gigs.
I thought i would hate this anime because of the heavy utilization of 3D CGI because i hate the recent adaptation of the Chainsaw Man and various anime that i scored with low numbers that heavily use 3D CGI when i’m a diehard fan of both of their manga. But i can pardon this one and can’t seem to hate this anime at all! this became one of my favorite. This as well with the sequel series is a masterpiece. This anime is its own masterpiece that incomparable with any other band themed anime.
This isn’t a simple anime with light topics, ITS HEAVY AS FUCK. i came searching for CGDCT bocchi like theme but i end up loving this anime as much as i love bocchi, both music wise and story wise. the use of emo midwest post rock shoegaze was an absolute tasteful shit i’ve ever seen.
I rate this 10/10, but i can’t rate this on par as Bocchi. Bocchi still number 1 and i can say this one is number 2 by a landslide even though they are both scored 10/10

10/10 its slow paced slow burner slow life masterpiece.
I’m not gonna score a 2 and call everyone out for not watching anime from pre-2018 and proceed to ridicule people for being a new anime fan like a certain reviewer that score this a 2/10 lol, writing all that damn paragraphs just to spout nonsense is probably just a dedicated hater LOL.
TMI, i am known to be notorious professional skipper. when its get boring, cringy or i feel its irrelevant and irritating i would just skip the scene to skip anything i find unneeded and start to search whats interesting.
So far, i haven’t skip a
...
shit other than the OP & ED LOL (chill i have my own rule to watch the 1st and 13th episode opening and ending to atleast know the songs). Mind if i tell you i just finished this anime in one sitting, watching this from satuday morning till night. And now i’m writing this review not even 30 minutes after i finish this series.
I’ve just finished watching Unnamed memory 1st season a few days ago, and maybe thats why i love this anime so much because of the disappointment i had with unnamed memory.
Lets get to the point,
It is as it shown at the disclaimer that this isnt a true story, its FULLY FICTIONAL. But, its fully realistic. In every kind of way, this anime is realistic.
The storytelling, emotion, pacing and how light the character introducions is but i still felt the connection it made between me and the character is indeed a classy masterpiece.
The story itself is already intriguing hence why the little background story didn’t feel like a bother. This anime doesn’t feel shallow at all. The unfinished conflict doesn’t feel a bother at all because the build up is so good i didn’t question any of the timeline.
I thought this would be the typical slow life medicine based anime like the usual filler anime that just fill the season in. But, its actually really different. It has the feel of slow life and chill anime at the start but the conflicts and the premise of this story….. ho ho…. ITS SO RICH and different.
I’m not confident in saying this is original because i’m not certain that this is the only anime that have this premise. But all i can say this is a breath a new and fresh air since a long time. Imagine detective conan in the chinese 15th century setting??? mind boggling.
The last arc was… tasteful… I love this anime as much as how i love Gintama’s Courtesan of A Nation Arc. One of gintama’s MASTERPIECE ARC. If you know sheena ringo’s song called crime and punishment, this damn hit the spot.
The characters.
DAMN, i actually can’t think of anything to write other than they are all well written. EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM. Even the male mc’s cringiest moment wasn’t too disgusting because the female mc (maomao) FELT DISGUSTED AS WELL LIKE I DID HAHAHA.
Yes indeed some people may feel bored by the pacing, if you find this anime boring. Its safe to assume that either this isn’t your cup of tea or you haven’t learn how to enjoy slow pace. And thats not wrong at all. For an instance, maybe its not your time yet to enjoy slow paced adaptation thats all!
The animation,
Fluid, no clunks, physics realistic and smooth. No bother at all, its really good.
And lastly, if only you’re curious and read this till the end. I watch anime before i learn how to write, thats 20 years ago. My first one? Voltes, watched it on VCD player. Been watching anime diligently for almost 12 years. And no, i do not look like the so called discord mod. I go to the gym, and a fully functioning adult that touch grass daily.
This anime doesn’t deserve any hate at all. I didn’t pardon any of their lacks because i didn’t find anything lacking to begin with. This is a complete anime.

To be exact i would rate this with my first ever decimal rate review of my life, a 7.6/10. its closer to 8 thats why i rate it an 8. If you like Tensai Ouji No Akaji, this is a great watch. I’d like to say this is the somewhat i would call one of the predecessor of a nation ruling anime. I’ll break it down in a simple manner. But the major downside is the lack of depth to the story.
But first, i did genuinely underestimated this anime. I found this anime because of a clip and i start to judge this with “ah
...
another perverted harem op mc, let me check the rate for this anime”.
And then, i was surprised by the high average rating of this anime. This reason alone pique intrest in me to find it out myself. For me, starting from 7 above is a high rating.
Lets start.
Lets start with whats good about this anime,
The personality of each of the characters is bold with their emotions, which is something that i do indeed like. There is no annoying naivety found. Conflicts, like all the smart mc do. He predicts what the enemy would predict his prediction is and he countered the inceptions of predictions with his ultimate counter prediction HAHA, that is as mouthful of me.
i like how they set up the pacing of the timeskips in the anime. If this is a 24 episode anime, im sure this would be a solid 8 and would be a solid banger. To he exact, It has huge potential to be a great anime. But, it just failed to deliver its full potential.
This anime had an confusing start that overwhelmed me, a person who doesn’t read any of the description or summary of the plot. Why did i felt overwhelmed? Because the lack of background naratives that build the story.
The lack of narrative to especially the introduction on what kind of world was this anime about, whats the story behind the main/supporting characters, technological era. For me the adaptation was lacking in depth. Surely this is a fatal mistake for an adaptation, but somehow i can’t give it lower than an 7. Because i truely enjoy this show. The story is almost excellent.
But, its too easy to predicts on what is going to happen. The character in this anime is well writen, except for the depth of the background of each character. I don’t feel any bond made between me as the watcher with any of the characters. Compare it to wein and ninym, this anime is as shallow as it can get on creating bonds between characters as well.
I can still enjoy the art on this anime, its different but its not weird. It has good physics, the downside of it is, it shows blood, graphics and cuts but… theres no decapitation lol, so whats the point? stabby stabby and cut but theres no head rolls? cmon mannnnn, this could make it better.
Nonetheless, I don’t find this boring. I don’t feel like i wasted my time watching this so i’ll put it on a recommendation if you like similar titles like Tensai Ouji No Akaji. I will be continuing to their manga because i think its worth to continue to read.

If you hate slow paced burner, this is definitely not the anime for you. This anime is most definitely not for everyone to enjoy. If you still insist to watch this anime, you should watch episode 1-7 and skip to 11-12 right away. Because i have the time to waste today, i give it a 7/10. If i didn’t have time to watch many anime and i choose this, i would regret my decision and deemed myself that i’ve wasted my time and gave it a solid average 5/10 with a really bad mood.
I genuinely didn’t understand whats the purpose on all the side character
...
build up for at all. They didn’t serve any purpose at all. I was hoping atleast the usual “oh the opening would be a conclusion for the ending”. Well, i was wrong and given false hope to begin with…. or i should be continue reading the manga. But honestly it didn’t give me the drive to search it up let alone to read it.
But nonetheless, its not a trash anime. Its still watchable and frustatingly entertaining. Its not a boring anime, its just a pointless one.
I’ll make a quick summarized rate,
The story is to be honest, not bad at all. Too many cast was introduced and it ended without being utilized. The pacing is really slow to the point that i’m on edge at every episode that i watch nearing later episodes even though i know what the end of the story would be.
Its surely a time wasting anime to watch, too long for a short conclusion. But back at it again, i don’t particularly hate or love it. I only regret that they didn’t developed more on the endgame of the side character relationship development (or is the manga or ln doesn’t write them any further? idk).
Thats all, folks.

Honestly, i’m a liar if i say i didn’t enjoy show. This is not for everyone to enjoy. Especially the WEIRDOS that GOONS over this kind of things and cant be objective NEEDS TO BE ON THE FBI OR THEIR OWN NATIONAL’S WATCH LIST.
Please seek a Therapy if you have immoral thoughts during the watch.
Story, Plot, Art, Writing, Pacing and even the sound effects. If you allowed me to continue, this is honestly more than a decent anime and it derserves the score 8/10
First and foremost i need to say that i did felt disgusted, blasphemous and it shivers me down to my spine. But,
...
i can’t particularly find any hate for this anime other than this diabolical relationship standards thats been shoved down my throat throughout this series.
My take on this anime is If it follows our modern legals it wouldn’t be a true medieval scene. I did still rate this a 7/10 because of my today modern day moral standards that went through a battle of heavy moral conflict while watching and also reviewing this anime. If i’m talking about plot and story wise, threw aside all of my modern moral standards i’d give it a solid 8/10.
Indeed its a fantasy medieval, we all know our own world has past like this story as well. It was the social norm at our medieval time, also anything that happened in this anime was also normalized.
As far that i can see, even the author/animator/publisher has their own moral conflicts by showing other than the MC and the Side Characters, the Norms are weirded out by the relationships of the royalties. It can also be a critique of our own world. Nonetheless i’m not defending this diabolical standards of this anime. All i say theres 2 sides of a coin, as i write this review i’m still conflicted and outraged with my decision on scoring this anime high, but the other counterparts i enjoy the well made anime and the comedy of this anime.

A solid 9/10. I want to say this confidently that i enjoy and Maou 2099 is the most underrated, low exposures and low anticipation Anime of this season! I’ll break it down.
Like the review before me had said, quote “Maou 2099 is a solid show with a familiar setup: the demon lord is defeated by the hero, vows to return, and gets resurrected in the distant future.”
Why did i score a 9/10 for a premise that similar to some of few anime that has aired in recent years? Because it has different type of approach to the story from the begining towards the end.
“Wait
...
isn’t it like Maou gakuin that people didn’t believe that hes the actual demon lord and ends with him teaming up with the Hero like the other series?”
Yes, it is indeed a familiar setup that many must have been judge in the first few episodes. But, have you ever even watch or imagine a cyberpunk city that on a constant lifeline by making the demon lord’s servant as fire woods? maybe imagine, but definitely haven’t watched. So, in conclusion its a fresh twist on a plot that has a familiar set up that makes it reasonably not that predictable.
The twist of this story is what makes it different and fresh. Its not as simple as any other similar set up has done. The MC is getting power because of the subscriber of his streaming account? thats modern af LOL
Decent character writing and development, i can’t really say much about the development but the character writing and design is already pretty good for my standard. Because of the straight forwardness of both the character personality and backgroud.
Hey atleast we got a Maou that become a streamer and play soulsborne, isn’t that already some funky character writing? lol. The only noticeable character that being developed is Hijiki… i mean Hizuki, the main point of the 2nd Arc of this series adaptation.
Btw, i didn’t rate this anime with an “underrated scoring”. I reviewed this anime as a solid produced anime. Why? because Aniplex and Kadokawa made this. Thus the 9/10 is a honest upcoming anticipated score and it does fit my standards. Aniplex and Kadokawa as always, never fails to bring smooth edge and light fineline type of adaptation.
This is what Kadokawa and Aniplex type of projects usually are, so if you are searching for similar art style you should check more of their works!
I genuinely hope theres a season 2 of this anime and if it did get a 2nd season. I hope this anime is much more exposed to create anticipation for it to air. So there would be more budget and work done toward this anime. I think it would be an even better anime if theres more enthusiasm!
Fyi, how did i even find this anime? Because i saw a clip on idk where, a clip of towa-sama-san stream clip appears on this anime. I was watching this anime only to confirm and see if tw-sama-san appearance is real or not. And then i stay because of Veltol resemble picture perfect zura and machina is just a cute humanoid immortal female elizabeth from gintama. And finally i stay because i enjoyed the anime.

9/10 THIS IS GREAT. If you know football, learning, have played or you even have professionally TRIED OUT for being an ACADEMY ATHLETE. I assure you this anime is fantastic, frustating and REALISTIC. This is the most realistic football anime i’ve ever seen (excluding the crow’s vision)
I’m writing this review just to quote the dumbass that hate on this anime for 0 REASON AT ALL. I quote “If you're from a country where football is popular, you probably know more than the protagonist of this show.”
BROTHER HAVE YOU TRIED TO PLAY IN YOUTH ACADEMY? NOT every ACADEMY is top 10 INT ACADEMY like ajax, barca
...
or arsenal.
ACADEMY is where YOU LEARN. The SENIOR team is where you have to SHOW/UTILIZE what you’ve LEARN according to the coach ROLE/GAMEPLAN. The MC of this anime is from a countryside that only possesses RAW TALENT. Have you seen ronaldo? neymar? or any south american RAW TALENTS and you think they know the basic of playing the game when they we’re first scouted? THE BASIC that even PRO forgot is not DIAGONAL RUN, its PASSING and TEAM PLAY. Even AJAX as an academy HAVE TO RETEACH how to pass to every single academy signed player. Exactly like this anime.
Don’t get me started, i’m from a developing country that has export many youth raw talents. I know few of the talented that have won many regional trophies and MVP’s that failed to process in International/National League because they can’t keep up with the INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS, exactly like this country bumpkin MC.
“why a 2 because hina is cute” haha, u dumbo. Knew it u we’re just a goon.

3/10 If i can describe this anime is The Loser’s Perfect Wet Dream Fantasy, The loser that somehow gets the school’s top huzz?? And his first love is actually his GF twin?😱Alright, tbh this is quite realistic plot to begin with. excluding the FL twin part, that unrealistic AF. I’ll break it down what makes it bad.
-Please Watch Other Romance Anime If You’re Clueless About Woman. Don’t Learn From This One-
A few anime these past years has done a similar plot and made it out decently. But this isn’t one of them. Initially the first few episode i score this an 5/10 because its still
...
somewhat relatable. I swear i’ve been there, done that personally. But, oh no the rate keeps dropping and felt less and less relatable.
Why? because this is simply not realistic, annoying and its starting to get confusing. I didn’t even know how could i not dropped this and watched it till the end. maybe i had a little bit of hope that it would turn out decent. Well, it doesn’t.
Before i get to why i hate this, theres only one dialogue thats good about from this anime. When the FL says shes stressed, feels sorry, regrets and shameful that she isn’t his first time in anything. I’ve handled that talk before, so i can say thats TOTAL RESPECT, It hits well right at home. But other than that? straight garbagé~~
First of all, this anime has too many unnecessary fan service. Is the anime selling point is to show some highschool racks to forget how bad the story is? Nah, this is just oversexualizing the character just for some weirdos to goon hard.
From the start till the end, anything else after the ML finally moved on i don’t found ANY character development AT ALL. The only change is the fat dude become slim. THATS IT.
It is realistic that 1st love is full of confusion, and full of fear. But at that point the anime is just go full ignorance. The huzz lets herself be used by random dudes is the main stress point of this anime. I respect the ML a bit because he has some boundaries that he doesn’t want to cross, yet.
I’m dumbfounded by the ML and FL because they’re too dumb to begin with. The ML is a no experience loser that have a chad friend that plays around with too much girl, the FL have a friend that was in relationship with that player and knows the FL is so bad at relationship and still let her get hit by random dudes? And yet both are doing nothing for their friend to solve anything that stressed them out??? Nah dawg, those aren’t what you call friend, those are what you call THE OPPS.
How is she’s still that pure when shes getting hit by randos frequently IN HER OWN HOUSE and she aint a slut? that doesn’t make sense.
I don’t find any appeal for this anime at all.

10/10 Kadokawa is the best at publishing chill things. I Love this manga so much, its chill. Kuromueina is chill, Kaito is chill, Isis is chill, Shiro is chill, Gods are chill, Demons are chill everyone is chill. If you liked isekai nonbiri nouka, this is just perfect.
This is an absolute great read if you need a break from too much fighting isekai or demon lord stuffs. I like how the relationship developts, i like how its straightforward.
The plot? well, i’ll just describe it. This is a few manga that i’ve sacrificed my sleep just to read it till the end in one go. I
...
usually can’t binge read a manga in one sitting because my eyes easily feels tired when reading manga, different from manhwa where its easier to read because it has colours. But this is one of the few that i never felt a single boredom while binge reading.
This manga is worth the binge.

A 9/10. Spolier free review. TBH, this might be the best tower/system manhwa that i’ve ever read. On experience, i’ve read countless manhwa a cross all genre and haven’t add it all in my MAL (and maybe dropped few series or had forgotten some because i left it marinating for far too long lol).
Based on art, powerscaling, plot, relationships and character development for now its a solid 9/10 just because its still an ongoing manhwa. I can’t give it a 10/10 because i might left it marinating for too long that i could simply forgot that this manhwa ever existed and it could continued badly.
...
So i’m playing it safe by giving it a 9/10. Right now i just finished reading chapter 121.
Plot wise, it is the typical generic tower/system. BUT, with some fresh twist and it has good character development, pretty straight forward logics and a nice way to restrain the MC to be too OP with its good powerscaling system development.
The pacing is not too fast and also not too slow which is good. Maybe if i could add a little bit of something for this manhwa. I would give it a little bit of filler relaxed chapter just to give the story arc a bit of a breather. But so far it doesn’t feel overwhelming, its still in a good pace.
What i like about this manhwa is, the bonds that the MC made so far doesn’t disappear in a thin air like some manhwa that i’ve read. Its well maintained and serve well for the plot setups.
Every single thing that of the MC has done has always causality calculated, in a fantasy world that anything could happen the MC is kinda abusing his power BUT in a good way of abusing it. He utilize logics, cool and collected demeanor in any of his choices.
My way of describing the MC is he’s simply a chad rezero Subaru with a good sub category regressing ability or it is if its Batman who could regress. He is calm and calculated and foremost is he isn’t as naive and childish like Superman. He is vigilant but not as cold blooded like Frank Castle. Well written MC that knows his flaws well.
