This manga did not take long to have a special role in my daily life. As I see it, I have many similarities with Yoi, as well as with her insecurities. I even have the same school uniform as her—the exact same design—so sometimes it really feels like I'm seeing myself on paper. I watched this with a friend and we both cried over Daijin. Finding out their true intentions had my heart on grip for the whole second half of the movie lol. One more thing that had me choking was Suzume's exchange of hurtful words with her aunt—it was something inevitable so it hurted more.
As always, Mr. Shinkai's films involved laid-back supporting characters which I'm a fan of. Great use of CGI and oustanding animation as always too.
