Love Live! Sunshine!!
add

Not only because both series are about a group of girls becoming Idols, but both Cinderella Girls and Sunshine are alternative settings in their respective Idol Franchises (iM@S and Love Live, respectively). A new beginning after the end of their main series. Also, there's more similarities between both of them: -Both series involves a special thematic: CG uses a sort of "Cinderella Analogy" in the series, while Sunshine involves the sea thematic. -Both series begins with the main character (Uzuki / Chiika) convincing her new friend (Rin / Riko) to become Idols. Also, a tomboyish girl (Mio / You) joins in. -Both series have too much similarities about their character development: Both series involves a hungry girl (Kanako / Hanamaru), a shy girl (Chieri / Ruby), a gothic "Chuunibyo" girl (Ranko / Yoshiko), a tsundere fangirl (Miku / Dia), a noisy girl (Kirari / Mari) and a leader girl (Minami / Kanan). The main difference between both is their legacy: Aqours is trying to follow μ's steps and the series constantly makes reference to this "legendary group". By the other hand, the Cinderella Project moves independently, and the series barely makes graphical reference to 765pro.

The comparison between a long running comedy anime and a regular short running anime sounds weird. But both Gintama and Index are light styled series, involved in "modern/futuristic" worlds (Gintama shows a modern Edo Period governed by the Amanto, Index shows the futuristic Academy City secretly controlled by Aleister Crowley). Both main characters (Gintoki and Touma) seems to not really care about the governing factions (Bakufu /Scince) or the hidden factions (Joui / Magic), but they have allies in both sides, supporting them when they have to fight. Also, both live with a hungry 14 years old loli and her pet (Kagura and Sadaharu / Index and Sphinx), and both have their respective "harems". Also, both anime involves a race/species of "supreme warriors" (Yato Tribe / Level 5 Espers), where the heroine (Kagura / Misaka) and the psychopathic character (Kamui / Accelerator) belongs.

When everything seems to be funny and goofy, suddenly everything turns dark and painful. That's the similarity between two of my favorites animes.

-Both series involves cultural themes, mechas, and 2 parallel worlds -Both series involves a prince (Van / Nobunaga) who is very skilled swordman and mecha pilot. Also both series have a character who is beloved by the main female character and the princess (Allen / Nobunaga) -Both series involves a girl with Divination powers (Hitomi / Jeanne) who comes from a parallel world and falls in love for the main character Personally, I'm a huge fan of Escaflowne and I'm glad to see a new anime with a very similar development, following its own way, obviously. But I think both Nobunaga lovers and Escaflowne lovers must watch both series.

Both series involves a female main character (Kirino/Tomoko), who loves play videogames and other otaku stuff. Both girls wants to make friends, but there's the difference between both girls: Kirino is a pretty popular girl who wants to make otaku friends, while Tomoko is a lonely unpopular girl who just wants to make friends. Under their own situations, both girls has to appeal to their brothers (Kyosuke/Tomoki). Both brothers have an average attitude, but Kyosuke tends to be more careful about Kirino, while Tomoki doesn't seems to care about Tomoko

Naturally, Index and Oreimo are both different kind of anime (Oreimo has a realistic comedy plot, Index has a futuristic fantasy plot). But in both series we have a normal young main character (Touma / Kyosuke), a guy who uses to be very quiet and tries to help his friends to any coast, specially women. However, this guy often has to deal with a tsundere girl (Misaka / Kirino), who usually annoys him and doesn't accept his "womanizer" lifestyle. Oh, and both girls tries to hide her childish likes

- A cute girl who loves the main character, but her cute face is just a mask to hide her true self: a serious and fighting monster (Lucy / Moka) - A indecisive main character who cares about her friend and tries to understand her (Kouta / Tsukune) - A busty girl who feel jealous about the main character's friendship and tries to deduce him (Yuka / Kurumu) - A young girl who ends being friend with the main characters (Mayu / Yukari) - A girl who initially keeps distant to the main characters and has a rivarly against one of them (Nana / Mizore) Obviously, both series are not too similar. Elfen Lied is Gore and Rosario + Vampire is Ecchi. But the chatacters development is very similar between both series.

Not just because both series involves school stories. Both series start in the same way, but both take different destinies. Both series have a main character (Otonashi / Makoto), who is very close of the cheerful girl (Yurippe / Sekai). The main character is interested in a passive girl (Kanade / Kotonoha). But that last point creates the difference between both series. The Angel Beat plot shows Otonashi being very distant from Kanade, but he starts to me more close to her. By the other hand, School Days plot show Makoto being very close to Kotonoha, but he starts to be more distant to her. Both series has an unforgettable ending...

Both sequels from their respective first seasons. Both were released in October 2010. both continues the misadventures of the indecisive main character (Tomoki / Rito) and his supernatural pink haired girl (Ikaros / Lala). Involving new characters, both series have a sexy funny girl (Astrea / Momo), who likes to fool around and make fun of the rest, specially the Tsundere girl (Nymph / Nana), who secretly loves the main character.

Very similar Ecchi and Harem series. Both have an indecisive main character (Tomoki / Rito). Both have a busty girl who comes to "ruin" their lives (Ikaros / Lala), and both fall in love with the main character. Both series mix "religious" and supernatural thematic (Angeloid= Angel Droid / Deviluke= Devil Alien). Both series involves a conflict against an evil powerful leader (Master of Synapse / Gid Lucion Deviluke), who wants back to the main female character in her respective place of origin. To me, both series are perfect for a crossover.
