From the first few episodes, love❤️love? seems like an idealistic ecchi anime, where the MC somehow constructs a harem of girls where they all simultaneously have a crush on him for no apparent reason.
Unlike most other generic fanservice full harem anime, love❤️ love? displays a darker realistic reason to why the girls constantly seduce and throw themselves at the MC.
When Ooizumi discovers that Yagami and Katsuragi were using their feminine charm to seduce him in to promoting them in to a higher acting role, I was initially surprised as I wasn't expecting the anime to have this dramatic twist. After the feeling of
...
shock faded, I was impressed by the thinking of both Yagami and Katsuragi as they were fully taking advantage of male-female biological dynamics. In regards to how a man will instinctively be allured by beauty, where both Yagami and Katsuragi possess, they effectively utilised their beauty to seduce and provoke Ooizumi.
Unfortunately, I wasn't impressed by how Ooizumi retaliated to this discovery. Ooizumi decided to punish all the girls in the cos-prayers acting team, which is comprehensible as he feels deceived as the girls have been playing with his feelings. However, I felt sympathy for Katsuragi as she was on the cross getting whipped and stripped, physically receiving scars and socially losing her honour. Miku, who is only 11 and only really displayed her panties on a few occasions, was placed at a high height, due to her fear of heights.
Imamura really impressed me and attained my admiration.
First of all for her skill of being able to replicate others voices.
Secondly, she realised that Ooizumi wasn't paying much attention to her, where she thought it was because of her age or lack of breasts. Due to this, she utilised her skill to reveal why Yagami and Katsuragi have been seducing him. Coincidentally, Jougasaki was sexually provoking Ooizumi, where she revealed that the cos-prayers girls are aware that he is the writer of the show. Since Jougasaki revealed this vital detail, I thought Ooizumi may be merciful towards her but instead makes her swim in contaminated water.
I admire Imamura as she realised that her fellow co-workers were suffering due to her actions, where she was willing to fix the situation and face the consequence by consenting away her body. She realised that she had made a fatal mistake and didn't have much to offer, however knew that Ooizumi had sexual desires so thought that this should please him.
Both Yagami and Katsuragi do admit to seducing Ooizumi for a promotion, which I do respect them for. They also do confess their loving feelings for him, where it's ambiguous to whether they are being genuine. They are actors so it's gullible to believe anything they say.
I was in love with a woman that displayed the facade of compassion and kindness; she used her beauty and charm to deceive and manipulate me for an advancement in her career. I was also fooled like Ooizumi and thought she was genuine, however unfortunately didn't have the presence of an Imamura to reveal the deception.
Due to being in a similar position as Ooizumi, I don't commend him for enacting vengeance on the girls. Every successful person I know has done something immoral to get to their honourable position, so I don't blame her for using me. I fully comprehend that she wanted to get ahead in her career and one avenue to attain this was to exploit the psychological instincts of men. Me and Ooizumi were caught up in the psychological debacle, however unlike Ooizumi, I did not punish her as I felt empathetic for her, even though I was a victim. Also I was in love with her, so seeing her in pain due to my torture would not satisfy me. So it does make me think how he is able to punish Yagami if he truly loves her.
Some aspects of the anime I didn't like was how the incident where Yagami and Ooizumi were caught going to a love hotel became known to their higher ups. The retribution was supposed be that Ooizumi would be barred from the set and lose being able to write for the cos-prayers, however after writing another script, they decided to just let him back to his previous role.
Also his crush or love for Yagami is pretty superficial. I understand she's beautiful and he is young so develops a crush fast, however I am fond of anime where the male character falls for a female for at least one reason that is not appearance based.
Overall, I really did enjoy this show, due to the display of characters effectively manipulating male biological instincts to attain a progress in career. I may have a bias for this anime as I was in a similar position as Ooizumi, however not as intense as his where girls were stripping and taking him to love hotels to manipulate him.

I'm not too fond of supernatural romance animes as supernatural elements lead to the story being unrealistic and sometimes difficult to understand. Despite that, this anime had interesting themes such as psychology, time travel and ecchi dialogue.
First of all, this anime is split in to 4 arcs: losing facade, flooding of the Tsutsukakushi house, school looking like Italy and Tsukasa Tsutsukakushi.
The arc that I found the most fascinating is the flooding of the Tsutsukakushi house, due to the feelings of Tsukiko being revealed. Tsukiko desires for Youto to be more physically close to her , unintentionally causing his house to disappear forcing him to
...
temporarily stay at the Tsutsukakushi house. Tsukiko obviously loves the home she resides in , however is willing to flood the bottom floor of her house to keep Youto close to her. She also becomes quite upset when Youto refused to accept the role of being her older brother and would rather meet her occasionally as this keeps the excitement and fun.
In the latter section of the anime, Tsukiko was searching for reasons to continue being acquainted to Youto. She thought that if she had spent the longest time with Youto compared to her other friends, this would be a viable reason to be considered as youto's closest friend. When she witnessed the picture of Youto with Emanuella, she became disappointed and drastically started to find evidence that she truly has been Youto's longest friend. This may display how Tsukiko is so lonely where she thinks she must be deserving of being a friend of youto so desperately thinks of areas where she exceeds in her relationship with Youto relative to his other friends.
The character of Tsukiko is quite mysterious as she is first introduced as a girl who dislikes having her feelings explicitly displayed on her face. Initially this is perceived as quite unusual as a young girl wanting to conceal her emotions is quite concerning. The reason behind this was quite sad, where Tsukiko realised that her sister Tsukushi was distancing herself from Tsukiko, this lead to Tsukiko thinking that her sister dislikes her being so childish and expressive. Since their parents have passed away, Tsukiko has relied on Tsukushi like a child relying on her mother where Tsukiko thought that her sister was avoiding her due to Tsukushi having a dislike to how reliant Tsukiko is on Tsukushi. In reality, Tsukushi was replicating the marriage blues where she says there is a period of lack of interaction until the marriage.
This was a completely absurd reason for abstaining from interacting with her younger sister especially with her plan to study as the university of Massachusetts as same sex marriage is legal there. Tsukushi also as a secondary reason was avoiding Tsukiko to break the sisterly bond between her sister so they can get married , where she fails to comprehend that they are biologically tied by blood so the sisterly bond can not be genetically broken by simply avoiding her.
I enjoy when romance animes have unexpected twists where the reasonings behind Tsukushi's plan and Tsukiko's actions were so irrational and absurd that it amazed me how emotional and illogical some characters can be.
Although the disclosure was hilarious, it does reveal that there are underlying issues of loneliness and affection that both Tsukushi and Tsukiko lack.
Tsukushi was physically with her mother for the 1st 3 years and post the age of 3 until 6, Tsukushi has artificial memories from Youto where she reminisces those memories when thinking about her mother. From onwards of the age of 6, it's not clear when Tsukasa passed away so after her passing they were most likely very lonely and only had each other leading to a lack affection from external people. This displays why Tsukiko desires to be close to her sister and will even delete her facial expressions to retain the bond with her sister. Tsukushi is capable of hiding her internal emotions as she is perceived as a captain that is assertive and strict. Despite that, she is struggling with loneliness and is willing to marry her sister to keep her close forever.
There was also a theme of amnesia where Youto was not able to remember any memories of Tsukasa or Emanuella. Emanuella became quite distressed that Youto had forgotten their promise to hang out after returning from Italy and expresses her anguish by requesting wishes from the cat statue that Youto is fond of. As Youto had forgotten Emanuella and her interactions with him, I thought that they may have only met a few times and the interactions were not significant enough for him remember.
Tsukushi also conveyed how she remembers her mother measuring her where Youto actually used to get his height measured by Tsukasa. If I thought hard enough, I may have deduced that Youto shared his memory with Tsukushi through the cat statue, however it was incredibly interesting when it was revealed that Youto shared his memories of his interactions with Tsukasa to Tsukushi.
I felt sympathetic for Tsukasa as I estimated her age based on Tsukasa becoming pregnant in secondary school and Tsukushi being at the age of 6 during the time travel arc. Tsukasa must be around 22 where she is tremendously young to deal with her husband passing away, losing her kids to her in laws and having terrible health conditions. It is understandable to why Tsukasa drinks regularly and occupied herself by sewing clothes. Prior to the day that her daughter's would be seeing their mother, Tsukasa was aware that she would need to meet her daughters, however instead slept through the meeting time. This may suggest that Tsukasa felt that this event was overwhelming for her as she is aware that her daughter's feel like she has abandoned them and she struggles to confront them and explain her internal emotions.
It was profoundly joyous to witness Tsukushi wish to spend more time with her mother and create memories with her upon seeing that her mother was ill and she spent the entire night sewing clothes for her and her sister. I felt bad for Tsukasa when the previous day, Tsukushi conveyed how she no longer recognises Tsukasa as her mother ; Tsukiko responded to the situation by saying that Tsukasa is a terrible mother for not running after Tsukushi and declining to express the hidden affection that she has for her daughters.
From initially seeing Tsukasa and how she speaks to young Youto, i assumed that Tsukasa was a lot older. However such tragic events must have aged her mentally and mature at a faster rate to others. She may also have a negative outlook on life where she is seen as quite laid back seen from her living without cleaning her house and eating processed low quality food.
Overall, this anime was pleasant to watch. I wouldn't say it is amongst the top tier romance that I have watched due to the supernatural aspect. It can be confusing to understand that the cat stature at the ceder tree will remove a trait that is disliked and gift it to one that needs it compared to the other cat statues that grant any wish that can also be cancelled.
Initially, the premise of a teenager withholding his perverted inner thoughts, however wanting to express such thoughts was interesting. Due to the arc structure, Youto gained back his facade where I personally enjoyed the psychology of the reasoning of how the Tsutsukakushi sisters think and the reason behind their rationale the most.

A lot of viewers of this anime critique how it's quite generic as it has a timid teenage male main character, beautiful female characters and typical romance events.
This anime can be quite mundane to watch as there are 3 female characters that almost instantly develop a crush on Tsubasa. The way Sayuri developed an interest on Tsubasa was quite interesting though, due to the embarrassing coincidence where he walked in her wiping herself leading her to explain the reason.
Despite that, I found it quite interesting when Minami explained to Tsubasa the reason to why she is so fond of him. On the 11th
...
ep after touring the park with pink flowers, Minami says something like:
Tsubasa, I used to be quite lazy in terms of school work but became inspired to work harder after seeing how diligent you are. You also are able to understand my feelings and I can rely on you.
Usually female develop a crush on the alpha male who exudes confidence, and is physically handsome and tall.
I'm fascinated by the reverse psychology in this anime where Minami has fallen for a timid and average male, where most girls avoid dating this archetype. However there are females that enjoy dating such males due to the male being easy to influence, trustworthy, provide unlimited attention and there is a low risk of them cheating as such males have low appeal. These relationships don't usually last too long as the male is a beta where he will offer to say 'yes' to anything the female asks for. Due to this, it can get quite boring for the female due to the lack of excitement and drama.
This is just my interpretation of relationships between characters that have similar characteristics of Tsubasa and Minami. Minami is probably a kind soul that genuinely has developed a crush on Tsubasa due to the memories made and his positive traits. This is an idealistic anime so my interpretation is probably wrong due to it incorporating realism.
Overall, I was seeking a romcom that has beautiful females to watch, and I got exactly as I desired so I'm satisfied. I do wish though that there was more of a reason to why Rena as an upper class man became so fond of Tsubasa. Can't be just because they are neighbours and she happened to she him wearing traditional clothes, right?

As a current student who understands the struggle of attaining a place to attend a high ranked university, it seemed appealing to watch an anime about a student who was striving to attend a prestigious university.
Despite the main character, Keitarou, failing the entrance a few times, i admire how he perseveres to pass and attain a place. What's more noble is that his resilience stems from the fact that he made a promise when he was young to another girl his age that they will meet again at Tokyo U and get together.
Alongside studying for exams, Keitarou becomes a manager of a female
...
dormitory. Since this is a harem anime, one may speculate that keitarou eventually causes all the girls to develop a crush on him. However, keitarou doesn't really have many qualities that appeal to the girls so it's not an anime where the girls are constantly attempting to impress the main character.
The anime does have a plot which consists of Keitarou managing the dormitory and studying for the entrance exams while interacting with the female residents and learning more about them. However, the story does not progress so much as the majority of the episodes are comedy. A few of the episodes do continue from the previous one, however most episodes are non-progressive comedy.
Also this anime is tagged as an ecchi anime where there are certainly scenes when the girls are in the hot springs. However compared to the average ecchi anime, this anime doesn't show as much cleavage or lude content.
I would recommend love Hina to anyone who wants to watch a casual romcom. The majority of episodes are non-progressive so one does not need to worry about suspense or cliff hangers.
For those seeking a dramatic romance, I would highly suggest watching a different anime. Personally, I prefer drama romance animes so the premise of love Hina was appealing however the non-progressive structure did decrease the enjoyment of the show.
SPOILERS:
[spoiler]
The repetitive physical harassment on keitarou from Naru becomes tedious to watch especially due to it occurring from misunderstandings. It seems like Naru is a sadist as she is violent towards keitarou whenever she has the opportunity; majority of those opportunities are based on assumptions of perversion.
Keitarou would have been much more of a likeable character if he displayed courage and confronted Naru about the harassment, however he continues to tolerate it. Keitarou is presented as quite feeble, probably lacks testosterone, as he has no resentment towards Naru and does not display any form of fury towards her. Instead he develops a crush on her due to the superficial rudimentary reason which is that she is physically beautiful.
Although he is superficial, keitarou understands that the feelings he has for her are not mutual so does not explicitly express them or portray them through his actions. He even conveyed to Seta's daughter that Naru will never perceive him as a romantic partner, this was when she saw the photo booth image of both of them. This is interesting, as keitarou has the intellect to know that being a simp will yield no benefit, where he continues to have a crush on her, however does not attempt to impress her. He does say in the latter episodes that he would love to go to Tokyo U with Naru , however does not engage in typical simp activities such as constantly complimenting or gifting which i admire.
Keitarou is stupid though for not considering to date mutsumi and staying tenaciously in a crush with Naru. Even though mutsumi and keitarou hit it off when they initially met and mutsumi has expressed her love to him explicitly, he continues to keep her hanging.
The last few episodes were the most enjoyable to watch due to the drama. This drama was initiated by Mei due to her having an urgency to send Naru home. The scene where Naru kisses keitarou after witnessing them on the floor nude is surprising, as it's so sudden. Also there is not much reasoning behind the kiss as Naru has shown no signs of liking towards keitarou throughout the entire show. A girl will not be violent or risk sending the one she loves to hospital if she were to truly love or have a crush on them. Despite that, a few episodes preceding the kiss, keitarou and mutsumi were on a date where Naru was observing them like a hawk. This aligns with female behaviour as when a male is surrounded or liked by pretty females, he instantly becomes more attractive.
Or perhaps the kiss was more of a farewell sign as the photograph found by Mei will potentially lead to keitarou and mutsumi establishing a romantic relationship.
Overall, I rate this anime slightly higher than average. The lack of progression is unfortunate ; I would have scored it lower if it was not for the last few episodes where Mei initiated some interesting drama. The backstory of Naru and kaolla are also interesting so I appreciate that.
