Study Group is a webtoon I found by accident while scrolling Naver. The title is interesting, and the second you start reading, you get hooked on the story.
First, the pacing is fast. A lot happens all the time, which fits the type of characters we're talking about: future gangsters, thugs, troublemakers. When you think things are starting to get better/go smoother, the story pulls you into a cliffhanger. For some, it might be annoying, since the plot twists are constant and the story doesn't stop to explain minor details (quick flashbacks are common!).
About the protagonist: he won't stop surprising you. Gamin Yoon is a prodigy
...
in his fighting style (learned from his uncle), but he fails to study. Guess what his goal is? ;) Some of the comedy relief surely comes from his hilarious remarks mid-fight, "Do you wanna join my study group?".
The most interesting part, besides the protagonist himself, is how they constructed the story to be like real life: corruption, corruption, corruption. More money = more power. But then, a light at the end of the tunnel, with a group of stubbornly loyal characters challenging the system.
The villains are ok, but some would be more interesting if more explored (like, what's your REAL motive?). Don't expect a lot of lore-full characters, most are just scumbags who know how to fight (and know they will go without punishment).
Overall, Study Group is a light story, that will keep you entertained and feeling like Gamin's fanboy/fangirl lol. The art style is also pretty good, and the facial expressions are just *chef kisses*. Hope everyone will give Gamin and his study group a chance!
Have a nice day if you read till the very end ;)

Ok, I just finished the show and I want to record my thoughts on it.
Firstly, I found this show on tiktok, as many people were reposting the scene where Sally finds out Mikoto is actually a boy, not a girl. My expectations were low, and the show neither surprised me nor disappointed me.
Rating by categories:
The storyline is very confusing. If you are Portuguese or Brazilian, you probably already read a book or two by Clarice Lispector. This show's storyline is very similar to hers: if you're not very attentive and binge-watch it, you'll get lost. I haven't read the manga yet, but I read some
...
ppl saying that the storyline makes a little more sense there. But, if you're only watching the show, make sure you have time to finish it within a day.
The art style is very pleasant, and the colours were well chosen. I didn't give it a 10 because of 2 particular fan-service scenes that were completely unnecessaries.
The characters were such a waste of potential, especially Mikoto and Frau (and maybe even that witch that I completely forgot the name). One of the protagonists, Sally, is a good character but definitely not interesting enough to be a protagonist. Mikoto has a quite simple backstory that makes him interesting, and his goals are pretty plausible. Frau is the most interesting character. She's a semi-human that is quite immortal and can receive powers that make her invincible. She would probably be an S-tier char if her story was completed properly.
Overall, Peach Boy Riverside is a fun show but will leave you kinda disappointed in the end. Good characters wasted in a confusing storyline, but still enjoyable.

This is my first review so please be patient~
At first, I really thought haikyuu was a boring anime, and watching it would be a waste of time. But then, during summer vacation, I decided to give it a try. Overall, the target audience has a close age to the characters, and I think 14-20 year old people find the show way more enjoyable than older audiences. I particularly loved watching haikyuu because I could see myself in some characters: I’m leaving high school soon, so I share many worries and ambitions with them. Almost every character has a realistic development (most of them are average
...
students that share a passion for volleyball, no genius at all), and more particular details are not excessively explored (like personality, interests out of volley, other abilities), so even episodes with flashbacks are not annoyingly slow or deep.
In conclusion, if you’re looking for a great show with relatable characters, good animation and an anime with an enjoyable but not-so-deep script, Haikyuu is for you!
