Very great series. The fan service is low and the story and fight scenes are very good.
I thought it would be a normal hero story with linear A to B story lines I was pleased this was not the case. The plot changes was very unexpected which kept you wondering how things would play out and for whom.
Early on you find yourself empathizing with the secondary main character then kinda disliking her then liking her again. You find the inverse with the main character.
The background characters are easy to connect with and to be honest Vivio is my favorite a even better story ... and development than the 2 mains.
It leaves you on a cliff hanger but apparently Vivid Strike Specials has the 13th episode. I'm on my way to that.

Absolutely heart wrenching. A beautiful anime that kept you guessing. You would attach to characters, then when you think the story has moved on. Something brings them back into the center. Breaking your heart all over again. I can't explain it I was hooked, it felt real, you found yourself rooting for enemies, hoping friends will be okay.
The first story is probably what sets the tone. You understand this anime will be dark and it will make you think about life and it's value. You will come to le a rn and love new characters only to have them taken away from you.as the ... story progresses some characters have endings to their story; some I venture to guess will conclude at a later date... Finally figuring out what happened to Fuuku friends after their encounter.
What I liked about the villain though never changing it comes at it from very different perspectives and strategies while maintaining the concept of its existence
What I did not like about the show is our hero is often slow on the uptake, not learning things that he should already know if he was paying attention to his acquaintances. I also do not like the fact that he seems to make then same mistakes over and over again causing him to hurt the people around him.
overall though it's a tear jerker and is easy to immerse in. Easy to put yourself in and easy to watch as the episodes seem to fly by.

The story was a great story kept me hooked and wondering what is gonna happen. However the fight scenes where not as long or as good as the first season. Also the story was moving really fast in the sense that problems would be solved really fast at times where as in other times it would drag on with needless tasks seemingly irrelevant to the goal. Loved the anime a good second season but the fight seems and the conflict needs to be bigger than for example the guardian.
Watching them fight the guardian was quite a drain as they did often redundant things and ... also did things that did not matter in the defeat of the the guardian. The "help" was helpless and a liability.
Where as when the main antagonist who was ahead of the shield hero at every turn climaxes in a very short battle. Watching a bad ass antag do absolutely nothing was a let down.
The good things of the anime is an overarching story, meeting new people and learning about the cardinal heros from the other world. We see Ralphtalia develop, I really wish her struggle was pushed just a little longer. Where filo seems to have a struggle that is quite sufficient and draws out emotion from the watcher towards the situation
Overall I would recommend but only after the first season. As the first season is way better balance of story struggle and epic fight scenes.
