As in slam dunk i appreciated the realism of the work, but on the other hand Real story is less happy and light. Sport is still the center of the story but not in the traditional shokon way, more like a center of characters life. The challenge and the joy brought by basketball help protagonists to keep going throught difficulties. Characters are explored more deeply and their thoughts are expressed with words and powerfull drawings. Slam dunk is without a doubt the best spokon I've ever read. I think what really makes the difference is that this story feels much more real than other spokon. Characters are like real highschool students, with their strenght and weakness and common story. Matches really catch your attention, because basketball is entretaining of its own and because Inoue manages to express player's thought and you feel like you are the one playing the game. But what I preferred of all the manga is the story of Sakuragi falling in love with this sport, showing how beatyfull is to find a real passion in life

Story: superhero like (in a japanese way) but more realistic, justice is not one sided, and untill the end it's not clear what's good and bad.
Art: art is amazing, especially the character design, which is very unique. The section is very clean and the body are realistic and dinamic, creating captivating fight scenes. Character: every characters is deeply described with their thoughts and actions, so you get very attached to them. Especially Jin and Kouga, expressing their feelings and thoughts during the story.
