I just recently rewatched this a few months ago on Tubi and finished it in less than a month. I needed to rewatch it because the original anime from 1999 is an all time fave and I feel like I didn't give this newer one much of a chance. I enjoyed it the first time but after this rewatch I think both are equally fantastic. The 1999 version gets just a slight edge mainly because it came out first and it was one of my first faves since I became an anime fan in 2000.

The story and characters are the best thing about this series. ... The original has a really good filler arc with an extra bonus hunter exam but 2011 goes past the ovas so you see a lot more interesting characters. Gon is not my most favorite main character but together with Killua, Leorio and Kurapica they are the best group that you want to hang out with, especially Gon and Killua. Their friendship is the greatest in all of anime.

The art and sound are better in 2011. In the original I prefer the bg music over the orchestra music in 2011, but the ending themes are really epic. I just wish we didn't have to hear the same opening for all 100+ episodes.

My enjoyment for both are at a high level. I especially get most excited when I get close to seeing the badass Phantom Troupe. Theres no filler arc in 2011 but you do get 2 recaps which are in the first 26 episodes. The Chimara Ant arc drags a bit but does not take any points away from my enjoyment of this version.

Overall Hunter x Hunter 2011 is far supierior but the original will always be my fave, but just by a few nen threads.

Thought I'd make a quick review since it got licensed. Please go out and buy it! We need more anime like this! Before I get to the categories, I want to mention that I don't drink but still love this anime to death!

Story: an episodic anime about an amazing bartender who serves people drinks while listening to their problems. Sometimes when they ask for a drink he serves them what he thinks best fits their taste. He is the god of alcohol. 9/10

Art style: the characters looked good. Not the best character design you'll ever see. Though when the drinks are mixed it looks really ... impressive. 10/10

Music: it has a very nice jazzy opening. One of my favorites! I also love the more slower ending theme. 10/10

Characters: you don't get much development since it's episodic, but still great. I loved hearing them tell their stories and then seeing the drinks get mixed and they always enjoy it and feel better. The mc also gets a nice backstory. 9/10

Enjoyment: as I said, I don't drink but still enjoyed it. 10/10

Overall Rating: 9/10!

This is a really nice series with great characters(and lots of bishounen), especially the main character, Agate, who can perform miracles. My most favorite was Chrome, who is an artificial soldier. There are other artificial soldiers(who are discriminated against), in this action fantasy series that involves war, death, cloning, super powers, and much more.

I highly recommend this to anyone who likes these type of series. It's not a shonen-ai, so both girls and guys should enjoy it.

The only downfall of Cluster Edge were all of the recaps and flashbacks, and thats why I can't give it more than a 8, to make it a favorite. ... I believe this series would've had more recognition and be more popular if it wasn't for all of those recaps. I still enjoyed it a lot though and would definitely buy the dvds if it ever got licensed.

Stupid and pointless. The worst Anime movie ever. This is so bad it makes me want to change all my other 1's to a 2. I would be so embarrassed to watch this in front of non-Anime fans, like my sister, who would make fun of me for the rest of my life if she knew I watched this horrible mess.

The story was almost decent and the action was good(there was a lot of it), but the art was terrible and the characters were so stupid looking. I didn't care for any of them, and wouldn't have mind if they all got killed(sorry if that ... seems harsh).

Anyways, it was a very perverted movie(a lot of sex) and it was violent too. I usually like violence with a large body count, but it seemed like they tried to hard to kill off as many characters as possible.

I didn't think it was funny either. I didn't laugh at all, only at how ridiculously stupid it was.

I watched this awhile ago and don't remember too much of the ending(I think there was a crazy evil chick and a rapidly growing baby). All I remember is that I was glad it was finally over. If Dead Leaves was longer, like a short OVA instead of a movie, I probably wouldn't have forced myself to watch it.

This will be a really quick review since these are just recap episodes. What I don't understand is why they didn't add th recaps to the series instead of putting them as stand alones. I also don't understand why it's rated so highly and being added as favorites.

This was kinda a waste of my time, but I guess if you forgot what happened and don't have time to re-watch the whole series, then you can re-watch these 2 episode recaps.
