I started reading this manga because I, like many other fans, am (im)patiently waiting for Kingdom Hearts 3. As a Kingdom Hearts fanatic, I really wanted to like this manga... but I couldn't get into it. I have completed it, but nothing really came out of it for me.
If you've been living under a rock for 15 years, Kingdom Hearts is a Square Enix game with RPG elements about a boy whose island is invaded by heartless. It's also a crossover between Final Fantasy (and as of KH3D, The World Ends With You) and Disney.
STORY: 10- Outstanding. The same as the original Kingdom Hearts
...
1's story, which is quite amazing.
ART: 7- Good. The art has a consistent style and doesn't change much, but it tries to fit too many events on each page.
CHARACTER: 5- Mediocre. This is part of where the manga falls short. In KH1, the characters were more lively and had more personality. Of course, they weren't perfect characters, as there are minor flaws with their development. However, in the manga, they don't have development at all.
ENJOYMENT: 3- Poor. This is probably the biggest reason why the manga stinks. Everything worked so much better in the game. Kingdom Hearts had amazing music and beautiful worlds and cutscenes, which the manga couldn't pull off.
Overall, the manga didn't have much potential anyway. However, I think that the rest of the KH mangas will be better than this one (or at least I am hoping.)

Deadman Wonderland is one of my favorite manga. I watched the anime first, and even though I really enjoyed it, I was incredibly disappointed by the final episode. I decided to read the manga, hoping it would answer all my questions and tie off every loose end, and I must say that I was impressed.
STORY: 9. A pretty original and well- developed plot with twists and turns. The ending was a bit disappointing, however.
ART: 10. The art is crisp and clean, and very pleasing to the eye. This manga has some of the best visuals I've seen.
CHARACTER: 9. Most of the characters are original and
...
they all have very interesting and intriguing backstories. Other than a couple cliches from time to time, the characters are rather well written.
ENJOYMENT: 10. The action scenes look great, the characters are entertaining, the visuals are beautiful, and every chapter left me wanting more.
I don't think I've enjoyed any manga more than I have this one. While I wouldn't call it a masterpiece (because the ending was still a bit disappointing), it is still one of my favorites and one of the best I have read.

Kareshi Toshitakei... Where do I even start with this? This manga is only 5 chapters long, and you shouldn't expect much from most romance manga, but... gosh, this manga is one of the worst I have read.
STORY: 3/10: Poor. This is a romance manga, so it's basically the standard "My childhood friend is coming back from who-knows-where"... I walked into this not expecting much, and that's what I got... there was absolutely nothing special about the story. In fact, it's incomprehensible and impossible to understand.
ART: 6/10: Fair. The art is here and there, and it follows the basic romance manga style. It improves a
...
bit by the final chapter.
CHARACTER: 2/10: Dreadful. These characters are shallow, even for romance manga. The first few chapters focus on the lead female, Ai, who has no personality whatsoever and constantly runs away crying as Sou, her male counterpart, is constantly sexually harassing her. After that, it devolves into a couple one-shots with other characters who, before their respective chapters, were unmentioned.
ENJOYMENT: 3/10: Poor. Honestly, there isn't anything particularly enjoyable about this manga.
And there you have it, folks. This manga is simply pathetic and unreadable. I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except those who want to see just how bad it is. I'd even go as far as to say that I wish I could rate it lower.

Time and time again, I have heard this anime compared to the amazing Madoka Magica. I wasn't expecting much from this anime, but even then I was disappointed. This is my first review, and it will be spoiler free!
STORY: 7/10. Good. Basically your average magical girl plot formula, so don't expect much there. The first 6 episodes are basically just filler, and nothing happens until the last few episodes, where the show decides it wants to be all grimdark like Madoka.
ART: 7/10. Good. The areas are colorful and the character designs are cute, but they don't stand out much.
SOUND: 6/10. Fine. There was one song
...
that stuck out. The opening and ending are nothing special. The music, however, fits the show pretty well.
CHARACTER: 3/10. Poor. This is the area I was most disappointed. Before watching, I had heard that this show was character driven rather than plot driven, and I hoped that I would see great character development and growth. However, the characters are not only cliche and typical, but they are complete rip-offs of Madoka Magica characters, right down to the color scheme. Fu is obviously a rip-off of Mami, Togo is exactly like Homura, and Yuna is a carbon copy of Madoka. Even Karin took some inspiration from Kyouko. The only character that didn't feel like a PMMM clone was Itsuki, but she isn't anything special herself. The only saving grace are the decent interactions between the characters during the last few episodes, but they don't do the show much, because they are quite cheesy.
ENJOYMENT- 5/10. There is a beach and hot springs episode, and there is enough fanservice for those who are into that. Like I said earlier, half of the anime is filler so if you like that then you may like this anime.
OVERALL: 4/10. Sorry, but everything about this anime is average, even for a magical girl anime. Nothing really stands out, it's all been done before, and the entire time I watched this, I was plagued by the fact that it clearly rips off PMMM.
