Well as a huge fan of the original The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya, I knew the second season would be just as good, if not better. Boy was I wrong.
Story: It does have a very good story. But the way its delivered was absolutely unbearable. With the Endless Eight which is the same episode eight times in a row and having to wait a week for new episodes. I read the light novel for Endless Eight, and from reading it, I know they could have delivered a great story, MUCH better.
It only had three stories in it which was a major dissapointment because
...
I was hoping for an animated version of The Dissapearance of Haruhi Suzumiya. But I was very happy with how they did Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody and The Sighs of Haruhi Suzumiya because they kept a lot of the dialogue very accurate to the books.
Art: The newer, as some will call it, a K-ON! sort of art style, is very pleasing and cute. I think its something thats not such a big change that it'll make us angry but instead, make us like the new art style better.
Sound: Good sound and music as always, I didnt notice much difference than the first season though.
Character: The characters are the same as the first season, each one is extremely unique and interesting.
Enjoyment/Overall: Not horrible but certainly something I won't be downloading or probably even watching again. Well, maybe I'll end up watching Bamboo Leaf Rhapsody or The Sighs again, but Endless Eight was probably the dumbest thing that KyoAni has ever done. Oh well, one can only hope there will be another season going more in depth with different arcs from the other books, or, who knows, maybe even a movie. I vote for a Dissapearance movie!
