You can already tell that this anime and Blend S already give the similarities. The Cafe setting, usual misunderstandings, usual male protagonist, another bonus is when Azumi Waki (Shiragiku in Megami Cafe Terrace and Maika in Blend S) comes in and play the role of a cafe maid once again……. The only difference is that here, (Hayato) he’s encountering 5 female maids and almost going into harem mode and he doesn’t like the cafe and isn’t a pervy guy but the misunderstandings can lead to assuming him to be a pervert. In Blend S two guys get their own love on just one person so not really a harem moment and they don’t hate the cafe much. The male protagonist (Dino) can sometimes be pervy and just like I said, the misunderstandings can lead him to being assumed as a pervert, same goes with Akizuki. I can even include the meme that Blend S has, but for now it doesn’t have, so sooner or later this anime could get a meme too. They both play similarity it’s just that only the male characters opposites to each other in their own animes.

Bishounen Tanteidan

I love calling Bishounen (Reverse Quintessential Quintuplets) because the main character is now a girl and the rest of the 5 are now boys (When you consider 1 male character and 5 female characters in Quintuplets). The reason I called it that way is because Mayumi wants answers from 5 males, Hyouta, Manabu, Sousaku, Nagahiro, and Michiru to the mysterious problem, similar in a way with the Nakano sisters who needed answers to solve in their practice from one male, Fuutarou. Any answer is an answer no matter or whatever you’re trying to solve. These Bishounen males do work together to help Mayumi very similar to how th Nakano sisters work together to help Fuutarou. The only difference is that the Nakano sisters still play as rivals each other on who will win, while the Bishounen males just do their job to anyone if its not only Mayumi.

Land and Water. Ok, so how are they similar? I can really consider Ika Musume and Ranka being the more chaotic main characters in their animes. They are animals of course, they usually don’t wanna lose against someone who are challenging them. Sometimes they get attacked or teased by even some smaller characters or bigger characters I would say. You still have the humorous slapsticks going on there. For Ika, you get the three stooges, Takeru’s friends, Ika’s friends. For Ranka, you get the gang of monkeys, Lion and Impala, The dolphins, mammals, etc. Can’t elaborate more animals because theyre so many to say lol. But any who. You have Eiko who is annoyed at times at Ika for her behaviour, very similar to Jin when encountering Ranka. Ranka is usually the same as ika when it comes to the behaviour. The slight addition for Ranka is her love affection to not just Jin, but other animals, wanted to make them on her pack / team. When it comes for Ika in teaming or joining her pack I would say, she always ask the closest people to join her. Jin and Eiko play similarily when it comes to disciplining Ika and Ranka. Its also weird how I noticed that the two last words from Ika and Ranka are “k” and “a”, which i would call it krazy antics which fit them, I guess. Ika’s team has less people and Ranka’s team has more people, but their people do leave them or they stay as long as they want. So the only difference is that theres only one hybrid animal/humans in Ika Musume and there are more than just 10 hybrid anima/humans in Murenase.

You can call me crazy whatever you want, because you’re gonna be asking me something like “why am I comparing a Moe fantasy anime with a child-caretaking / action thrilling anime?”or “How do they play similarily from each other?” I’ll give you a very deeper explanation to that. Recommendations aren’t really just when they look the same but it comes with what’s the quality of it. Alright, so Yuuki and Miri are alike when it comes to just being innocent characters and they happened to be in a threatening territory where they might get harmed. Kokkoro, Karyl and Pecorine are always protecting Yuuki in any danger and it always gives them a reminder of how it feels to be with him. The same thing goes for Kazuki and Rei when protecting Miri in any danger and it just felt like the only treasure they can experience after they get used in being with her. Sure these two are annoyed and the three I mentioned previously, they weren’t annoyed. The only annoyed among those three is Karyl. Kokkoro and Pecorine are sometimes aware or frightened when they see Yuuki in danger. Kazuki is also like them. Rei is on a neutral side because it just depends on what it is for him. The difference is that Yuuki can be attacked but doesn’t feel pain while Miri doesn’t get harmed or attacked. Just sometimes held hostage. Kazuki and Rei along with Kokkoro, Pecorine and Karyl are always the babysitters when it comes to watching over Yuuki and Miri.

Mysterious animes that these two should have been isn’t it? I really consider Hyouka being like Mieruko Chan in terms of the atmosphere and the background. They do feel soothing but disturbing at times when something mysterious appeared on them. They happen to be the anime shows that sometimes give a bit of misunderstanding and hard time to figure the problem out.

I can already imagine people saying that Im comparing a thrilling action anime, Lycoris Recoil with a soothing experience anime, Shiroi Suna no Aquatope. There are not a lot of similarities I can say, yes i know that, other than the yuri moments since almost every scene is a yuri moment i would say on both animes i watch. Sometimes Kukuru really protects Fuuka and the other way around. Same goes with Chisato when protecting Takina and vice versa. These two pairs always get the adventure together as buddies or pals. They also work together and they have such certain conditions they are having to deal against. They sometimes even work in a store, Lycoreco Cafe for Chisato and Takina and Teruya’s Bar for Kukuru and Fuuka. Comedy is still there and teasing together is sometimes you’d always see from them.

Sceneries can be beautiful isn’t it? Yea it is, but what’s really unusual is that I’m comparing a traveling anime series, which is Majo no Tabitabi with a mystical and mysterious anime, Yofukashi no uta. Yes you see no similarities, but what’s really sight seeing is again, the scenery, the designs are really pleasing to any person’s eyes. Another realization i can point out is that Nazuna and Elaina both fly wherever they go. They also have a sense of magic. And they are not really interested in sex and perverts. They use their power to punish or make the person suffer until they learned against their consequences. Places can be quiet for them and not a lot of people can be seen in both animes.

People are asking me, how come im comparing a fantasy comedy anime with a moe comedy anime? It’s really bizarre seeing that. Yes, It seemed unusual at first, but secondly, there are very alike. What im saying alike, Mahiro and Yamada are guys who dont really achieve well in academics, has another person who is a better role model than them, and they play around in a girl’s body. The difference is that Mahiro has transformation while Yamada can switch with another person either as a girl or a boy still. It still has those misunderstandings, panic moments and Fan service there still.

Before you ask me, yes it’s kind of unusual that I’m comparing a romance harem anime with a child caretaking action thrilling anime because they play differently from each other. But I did see the deeper connection between these two that probably catch my eyes onto those. They are original animes, meaning they do not come from the manga before the first chapters of the manga were released. The main characters that are males have a hard time understanding of what love is for them and how to feel love. They even have flashbacks of how their first love died and how reality can really be harsh for them. So to compare Miri and the 5 Ais, which are Aoi, Amelia, Karin, Illya and Mongfa, they bring out the joy to the main characters in anyway to make them feel happy and it gives them a reminder of the male main character’s past. They also tell them about moving on and starting a new life and forget the painful past they have seen. The male main characters also have the feel of depression when Miri and the 5 Ais left them if it’s not only the death of their previous loved ones. They do comeback, however to see them because they miss the male characters when we’re talking about those who left for a while. They also play or bother the male characters which annoyed them until they get used to it. They sometimes are being hunted down by any generic antagonists that may take away the only reminder to the male characters or hunting down the male characters. The Male characters also protect the 5 Ais or Miri when it comes to danger for them. The male characters also make the one final promise to engage that one final moment for them before things started to change or fade away. While both have similar similarities with action, comedy and SoL, the only difference is that Renai Flops is more on ecchi, while Buddy Daddies are more on gore. They still have wholesome moments either right now or again, in the past. No matter if they are mystical, Ai, a child or an opposite gender, any characters like them will always love and cherish. First time seeing a comparison of two different genre animes like this? Welcome aboard.

Both are similar because both Keroro and Gabriel are from another place (Keroro in his own home planet and Gabriel in her own home world, heaven), they are both lazy and can sometimes get scolded by others (Natsumi and Vignette). They also do sometimes bully their own friends (Keroro against Dororo and Gabriel against Satania). Lastly, they love doing their own things (Keroro with his Gunpla and manga; and Gabriel with her Computers and manga). I will also not to forget the comedy that these two has because they are also on-par. If you watch Gabriel Dropout, you might even see the similarities if you watch Keroro.
