Seeing as deadman wonderland has brilliant reviews and is so commonly favored by blue exorcist lovers, this anime had plenty of promise for me. Sadly I was very disappointed.
Story 2/10 although the story idea was brilliant, it was played out terribly. For an anime with a battle royale element, their into as much fighting as you would expect. Their where loads of gaps which where never rounded off and most of the characters that appear to have a big part of the story are ether not even mentioned again or dont have as big of an influence as you would think. The story doesn't really
...
amount to anything and you do not get a sense of satisfaction at the end.
Art 10/10 1 of the only 2 things I liked about this series. Animation is fluid and consistent apart from at some occasional point but was very well done. ]I did not personally like the appearance of the main character partly because he reminds me of astro boy but that's a personal opinion.
Sound 8/10 the only other thing I loved about this anime, the intro song is just fabulous and the sound in general is great, one off putter would be the English vocals for the main guy, his voice is really irritating.
Characters 1/10 despite their being some interesting characters in the series, they are bland and predictable. Character development? I don't think this even crossed the writers mind as their is little to no development. The characters at the end are more or less the characters you meet at the very beginning, just a tiny bit more bad ass.
Enjoyment 2/10 idk, you just keep expecting something brilliant happen but what would have been the super exciting parts are played out in a very dull way. I did enjoy the battle scenes but they didn't even hit a 4 on my thrill-o-meter plus the pretty pathetic protagonist doesn't change so fight scenes get a little dull after 4 or 5 episodes.
Overall 2/10 despite my personal distaste for this series, it would be unjust to give it a 1 as as I said, the art was fabulous and their where some epic battle scenes but apart from that, I can safely say that this is the first series that has under 200 episodes that I got bored of half way through I would behave dropped it but as mentioned earlier, I kept thinking something brilliant was going to happen but it never came.

i would personally say that this is one of the best manga's i have ever read. its got great humour, strong characters, a fantastic storyline and all the action you could hope for.
story: in the 3 books i have read, the story is very rich, no dull moments and your always finding out new things about the characters, just reading the first book will suck you in and make you demand to read more. it has all the elements in it, romance, action, a little horror, supernatural, highschool (at first) the books so far seem a little disjoint, the ultimate goal of the main character
...
is unclear but it slowly starts to unfold throughout which just makes it all that more gripping.
art: the art at the beginning is very simple, almost ditsy as the story starts out this way but it becomes sharper and more clean cut as the story takes on a more serious approach. sometimes it can be a bit overly detailed to the point where its hard to make smaller detains out, mainly in the backgreoud but its easy to read.
characterss: the characters are amazing, their personal growth starts off almost nsignificant but they develope quickly and in a very exciting way. most of th main characters are very easy to fall in love with, especially sang as she turns out to be liturally the opposite of what she appears to be in the first half of the first book. as who she really is unfolds, you will be shocked over and over.
i really enjoyed the 3 books i have and have read them over and over without getting boured, i cannot wait to complete the set and finish the story. the story is intensly addictive and the humour makes it all that more fun to read. i give this a 10 out of 10 and am shocked that it isnt as poopular as it should be

2 words. WATCH IT
favourite 2 quotes (not spoilers)
1. staz ''they made more of these?!? that's not very final is it?''
2. staz again ''my ultimate move from the greatest superhero of all time! KA....ME....HA....ME....'' XD
this is a breath of fresh air for me and my love for all things supernatural with gripping story lines, epic fight scenes with barely any talk, brilliant humour.
its not anything like a traditional vampire anime or movie. and its not just vampires, in the episodes i have seen so far, their are only 3 vampires in it in a whole dimension of demons (demons being anything supernatural including vampires).
the characters are
...
enchanting, the art is very clean and sharp, the fight scenes are brilliant and the best part about it in my eyes is the humour and all the references to other popular anime and mang which will have you wetting yourself laughing.
everything about this anime ticks all the right boxes and i cannot rave about it enough
if you have already watched some episodes, i would highly recommend that you track down PhD phantasy degree, it has alot of the same elements in like the fabulous battle scenes and the mix or cute and serious and a lot of that same in genius humour. their are only 10 and they never made an anime which is such a shame.
10/10 in all areas and possibly in my top 5 all time favourites. cant wait for more episodes

In short, if you have read the manga, I do not recommend watching the series, it's all the same characters, some elements of the manga's original story, but half way through, it's been altered so much that it no longer feels like negima. It's far too cutesy, it doesn't have any of the more serious elements of the original manga and they even portray the characters differently. I think they should have relabeled the anime as a spin off rather than the anime interpretation of the manga.
That aside (I'm going to pretend that i haven't read most of the manga.
It's a great anime, very cutesy,
...
a little, slightly disturbing romance, some good fight scenes and some moments that will make you cry. If it wasn't negima, I probably would have watched anyway, as it does have a good storyline and makes quite a change to the usual high school romance and supernatural scene.
Taking the manga into consideration, I'd give it a 4/10, but if you haven't read the manga, I'd say 9/10 and definitely worth watching. I have based my scoring on not taking the manga into consideration as this is a review of the ANIME in the end.

I'm going to keep this short as I can. This is a great show and has the potential to be one of the best anime series possibly of all time, but an incredibly irritating main character who you also love, a very stereo typical rivalry, an incredibly stereotypical love triangle, a ratio of 1 to 500, 1 being action, 1000 being dialogue and memory flashbacks, some sloppy art (forgivable with the amount of episodes but considering how sometimes it looks like a child drew it, it's inexcusable to me).
Also it has that goku vs freezer on namek issue where what should have LITERALLY been a
...
5 minute battle is stretched over about 10 or 15 20 minute episodes.
Take away all this and you have an amazing anime, but unfortunately, I do not recommend you watch this unless you have an incredible amount of patience and a high tolerance or like even, for annoying characters who do a running commentary on what they are doing, what they are going to do, and all that stuff every 5 minutes. It's great if you have a bad memory because you will always be reminded of what's going every 5 minutes of every episodes.
I wouldn't say it deserves the hype that it had and still has now but the story is good, especially if you manage to bare with it until it gets to shippuden where it gets much less annoying and the story gets REALLY interesting.

10/10 in all areas (as short as possible)
story - exciting, gripping action-packed, it has every appeal. no filler scenes, just thrill after thrill that will have all your senses on edge throughout from start to finish. its not a deep and meaningful plot but it does have its depth and the arousal through anticipation WELL makes up for it!
art - the animation is probably one of the best ive seen, perfectly smooth and consistant which leave you fapping over perfectly smooth action scenes with no blur or inconsistency. sharp and intricate detail but not in a way that makes it look fuzzy and messy like
...
in some anime and manga. character design and general visuals are just beautiful.
sound - crystal clear, although the 1st 4 seconds fo the intro could defen a headphone user, the sound is otherwise consistant and doesnot jump or suddenly become unaudiable.
characters - fantastic character devlopment throughout the story. you get to know all of the characters, some are predictable and others unfold some shocking traits and relevence in the story but from start to finish, you continuously begin to feel a connection to each and every one
enjoyment - their is a reason this is so popular. since its ended for now, i feel like i have a little void haha, gripping story and scceenes, heartfelt moments, thrilling fight scenes and massive twists every now and then through out, you could fap to it
overall - i cant really say anymore, everything about this anime is just gorgeous, after the first couple of episodes, you find yourself bouncing up and down watching each episodes with anticipation for the next twist or big fight or shock and after watching the final episode, you will want to scream until your lungs collaps cause no orgasm can compare to how good the conclusion is. althoguh the series does not leave you with a cruel teasing cliff hanger, you are already bouncing with excitement again searching for news of series 2 because you know what will eventually come but you dont know how.
rewatchability - YES! you will want to watch it again and again because it just doesnt ge old (apart from last series i have now watched this through 3 times)
