Lackluster story but good comedy fun,
Amagi Brilliant Park is high on my list of comedy anime. It's funny, charming, and made smile. The jokes are well written and use good characters that make for some hillarious moments (for ex: there are several cute mascot characters that actually have the minds of dirty old men). However some of the non-comedy ends of the writing tend to fall flat. The main character is supposed to be a self loving narccisist but he rarely ever actually acts like it (in fact he often acts the opposite) outside of a few scenes in the first and last episodes. Cute, wholesome, dramatic, a perfect yuri manga (or even just a perfect romance story for that matter)
I've always held the opinion that a straightforward but well executed story will be better than a complicated or obscure story no matter the circumstances. Whisper Me a Love Song is a perfect example of this. To put it in words, I'm in love with this manga. It has everything you could want, it's cute and wholesome, but it also has some pretty intense and suspenseful scenes. The manga follows the energetic and cute Kino Himari and the cool Asanagi Yori. Yori is a third year student who has fallen ... Jul 29, 2021
86 is an interesting story about war and discrimination but still falls flat in some aspects.
I read the first three volumes of the light novel and overall I liked them(the anime covers the events of the first volume and a little bit of the second, I presume the second season will be about the second and third novels). I feel this adaptation stuck to the source material and didn't make any major deviations. The story is pretty good and so are the characters. However there were a handful of problems that tainted my viewing experience. First of all, I was pretty disappointed by the soundtrack. ... Jul 18, 2021

A strong start tragically ruined by a poor latter half.
This 24 episode anime immediately hooked me with an incredible first episode, it was funny and intriguing. And for the most part this continued as the show built up the mystery of the main character's past as well as creating some serious but exciting romance drama between the characters, all while maintaining some great comedic moments. however after about 14 or so episodes the show started to lose it's entertainment value and the only thing keeping me watching was my curiosity as to how the show would end. Overall, i would say it starts off as a ... Jun 8, 2021

Amazing visuals, disappointing story
This 40 minute work hooked me on amazing visuals, especially the backgrounds, but left me immensely dissatisfied with an underdeveloped story. I can tell the creators were trying to make an emotional story but failed to flesh it out enough to actually have any impact. The plot feels half baked and I don't just mean it was simple. The best analogy I can make is to a McDonalds burger, it looks good, tastes okay, but leaves your stomach feeling empty. The OST is good but not great, not much else to say. All I can say is that it’s really not worth watching ... May 29, 2021

A truly awesome movie, very enjoyable.
This movie has a fairly simple story but it is executed wonderfully and makes for a memorable experience. The OST is one of the high points of this movie and gives overall vibe that is very similar to Violet Evergarden. The audio was a bit muffled (that may have been an issue on crunchyroll's end) and there is a fairly heavy use of CGI for the aircraft, but this doesn't take away from the movie one bit. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has an hour and 45 minutes to spare. If you are looking for a ... |
