Shokugeki no Soma season 1 and 2 waw a show I really enjoyed and loved.So,it was no wonder that I would definetely watch the third season.However,because of school,I decided that it woukld be best to wait until all episodes were aired and therefore binge watch it during Christmas vacations.And so I did.Here's my personal opinion about it:
Story:9/10
I personally find the Central Arc to be quite interesting as we will finally see some serious Shokugeki,meet the Elite Ten and generally meet the characters better.To be honest,I found the Moon Festival Arc a bit off(despite the fact that it prepares the ground for the
...
Central Arc).Personally,I would enjoy it more as an OVA before the third season and the episode where Soma and the others meet the Elite Ten to be put as the first episode of the thrid season.However,I still enjoyed this arc but with some doubts:
1)I would like Erina's father to not only appear during it but to actually cancel it.I think it would give the story some more suspense.
2)I would like to see some more of the Elite Ten.The Moon Festival Arc could be a great chance to learn about the Elite Ten's cooking skills,meet them as individuals and generally see some of the rest of the characters.
3)I would like some more Shokugekis and foodgasms.
Plus,the last scene was just EPIC.
Despite all these,however,I still enjoyed the story.The creator knows better than me,after all.
Art:6/10
During the previous two seasons,I had not any complaints about the art,since the story and suspense were more than enough to get me going.However,during this season,I noticed some downfall in the quality of the art(especially too much chibi) and weird desings at times plus lots of scenes from previous seasons and/or episodes.
Sound:7/10
The sound was nothing special,though I liked the opening theme(and the fact that all the plates from the previous seasonswere shown in the ending theme) and the voice acting.I would like more soundtracks during the episodes and maybe something new.I mean,it is the THIRD season.
Character:6/10
Two noticeable things about the characters here:
1)Erina.While I neither liked nor disliked her,I grew up to sympathize with her during this season.Her character progression is outstanding,Also,her behaviour towards Soma has changed a lot(and this is something I LOVED).Erina is living proof that you should not judge a book by its cover.
2)Tsukasa Eishi's character.I did not think that he was such a wallflower.Honestly,I thought he was more of the arrogant type...
All the others,nothing important to notice,I guess.Only that Alice is a much softer and good person than she seems.

I enjoyed this season just I enjoyed the other 2.Truly outstanding in this aspect.
Overall:9/10
While I loved the third season,I still have mixed feelings about it.It didn't have the same vibe as the others and it actually made think that "Okay,I can live without it for a day or two".Should you watch it?I would say yes but keep in mind that it is not the same SnS.Just my inpression,though.Last but not least,I have it a 9/10 only beacuse I think that the seond half will be better than this,since we will be in the center of the..Central Arc.I just hope that my decision to put 9 is coorect bcause either way,I would rate it around 6-7,maybe 8. After all,in my opinion,it is something you can wait to see completed,after the spring continuation of it.Well,if you cannot wait...DIG IN!
