There's always 2 kind of movies that you usually see on anime:
1. A total racap of a season with a few extra scenes
2. A totally different story be it a continuation or another side story
Unfortunately, it belongs to the first group. Hence, I under the assumption you have watch the first series before moving on to this movie.
If u realise I say movie, the reason is that I personally its more of a movie that a special, since special don't usually last this long and also its basically recapping the story. Thus, I will use this terminology for the rest of the review.
First off, is
...
the storyline and the character. There is nothing much to speak off since the story is a repeated story with just the addition of fanservice and some things happening regarding ALO. However I give it a slightly higher rating than of the usual movies of this type cause the way it was presented is different. Rather than simply showing you what the summarised version is, it tells you on the point of view of some of the character that have involved with Kirito (including himselves) and may not even follow in order to what event occured in the main series. There were some laughter that they provides in conversations and scenes in which we can relate to how we do in our daily lives. This results in a better storyline than what I have expected. Due to this, I give a 7, a slightly better score than what I give for the same type of movie.
Next, the art is done exceptionally well. I am even surprise on the fanservice there is, there was a lot of effort put in. The fighting scenes are slightly improved and the extra scenes are also a lot better.
For the sound, I was surprised that they bother to reuse the OPs and the ED2 of the main series as part of this movie. They were use in very good timing where it should be so I'm pretty much enjoy what's going although it happened before except the music this time is used at different parts of the movie.
I don't really like giving reviews longer than this so I'll stop here. Anyway this is sufficient on what the movie is all about. With that I have a slightly better average enjoyment of this movie resulting in me giving an overall 7. A movie which is something you may generally want to watch to relax though if you do not want to, you would not really miss out anything much.

I have high hopes for this movie after done watching the 2 seasons of the anime, and fortunately, the movie did not let me down.
There are 2 main groups of movies you usually see for anime:
1. They are usually recapping and summarising what happened in the main season with only a few xtras included.
2. They provide a continuation of the storyline from the main series or some other side stories.
I was glad when I watch it since this movie falls on the 2nd group. This movie tolds a (but somewhat related to the main series) different story from the main series. If you are expecting
...
the quality that they have shown from the main series, it is quite as good as it or may even be better than the main series
Why?
First off, is the storyline and the characters in the movie. As you can tell from the title itself, it tells about Suzumiya Haruhi dissapearing/not existing from Kyon's point of view. This may result in less enjoyment if you really like to see her everytime (besides Kyon's usual remarks) as majority of the movie, you won't see her at all. As for Negato, well I like her a lot so I was glad she got a lot more screening time in this movie beacause of... well just see.
Anyway, what I saw in the main series is quite different from what I saw in the main series as the character becomes for developed and some paranomal thing happening throughout the length of the movie. The way it was presented is understandable for everyone to watch though at times, I wish it could be faster. However, the overall enjoyment for the story keep me curious and continue watching This very solid storyline which is very original and captivating which was the main support in making this movie a very successfull one.
Secondly is the art. Theres nothing much I could say on this as it is mostly the same as the main season but with slightly better use of colours so I can last for that hold 3 hours of seeing the same colour contrast without much eye pain in the end.
Lastly is the sound, which plays a larger role as compared to art. One could that there's not much difference compared to the series in terms of the OP and the ED(I think I heard it somewhere b4 for the ED). But the BGM I could say is pretty good. It provides the viewer the right emotions to be expressed and the 'chill' effect which makes the movie much more enjoyable that it already should be.
Thus, I gave the movie a score of 9. I strongly recommend you go check it out and watch it. You will most probably won't find it a wastage to watch as regard it as one of those 3 hours of your life time worth spending on. I obviously do not regret watching this movie.
What you waiting for? Go and watch it ASAP!

For such a short anime with each episode lasting up to about 4 minutes, I won't consider it much of a series.
This anime provides you with a relaxing time for you to enjoy after all those intense days with the nice atmosphere and the characters they bring about. The art is something the eye would not be painful to watch, with the BGM and OP to be very enjoyable and memorable (which is unexpected in such a short anime). The characters themselves, those typical normal highschool girls provides you with enjoyment with their characters that make you calm for the day and maybe have
...
a laugh about it, espically Azuki since shes so 'wild' and open to new things and try new stuff, with her 2 good friends Matcha and Yuzu.
The story is nothing much, given its very short, I credit to the credtors for coming up with such a presentable and good short series for people to enjoy.
If you are looking for some anime to relax but do not want to spend so much time watching online or have little time left, might as well give this anime a go. :)

Well I am writing this review particulally to those who never watch the anime at all or just read the manga. First I need to ask several questions:
1. Do you hate harem animes?
2. Do you hate watching a lot of ecchi scenes in almost every episode?
3. Do you hate watching plenty of fillers?
If any of these is yes, then I recommend that you don't watch it at all because you would be wasting your time, which I think you can spend time watching other animes.
Now let me put down to reason why I might give quite a high score on these one which I rarely
...
give to most animes I've watched(and in my favourite list btw)
Most are concern of the story so I will start at that. Firstly was that the story was involving Lala, a princess alien who try to run away and escaped to Earth and met Rito by accident(which saw her naked btw). This was then accidently meant that Rito will be Lala's fiance and so the story goes on. I just give a bit of the story if and I apologise if you don't like that. The few several episode are related to the story and few in the middle and the last 3 episodes(if I remember correctly). The rest are practically fillers but if you don't mind, you might enjoy watching them. In the starting, you might find it irritating of Lala's character or the fact that they introduce a new girl in quite a lot of episodes that adds a lot to the harem group who like Rito. The story progress beautifully and the ending might be a disappointment for the ending for some of you guys
Yes, you got it. It will be one of the largest harem group you will ever see. But its only the first season so it won't be that much compared to the latest season where you will see there's around 15-20 girls(I lose count track of how many girls are there) that like Rito. So that make put you off for the anime but that's the fun of it. That's whats makes me entertained to watch it even though there was indeed a number of ecchi scenes in the anime.
And talking about ecchi, this anime is not hentai, its ecchi. I know of that cause someone I know saw hentai b4 and it was a total different thing. And I mostly skip some of the ecchi scenes cause I am not that into such things(though some do caught me by surprise unexpectedly, mostly involving Rito)
The characters are quite good and they show their feelings for Rito for the viewers quite direct and explicit. These really was something you might admire for the fact that there are really a lot of girls in the harem group. And amazingly everyone who enjoy this anime will have a favourite girl whom they thinks are better for Rito than Lala. So mine is Yami and Run. What's yours? That's up for you to decide
Next the music in the anime which I think was the lack of the anime. The opening in my opinion sucks a lot and the first ED was too. I only listen to the 2nd ending quite frequently.
Thus in overall I think this anime was extremely good with the romance all over the place and I really enjoy watching for most part of the anime, the big harem group and the story line the creators did. I would recommend for those who enjoy a good harem and the romance stuff but you might find the frequent ecchi scenes quite irritating so I advised you skip them(which I did).
However, for those who read this and hated the anime, you've wasted your time reading this and watching the anime, I strongly suggest you watch better animes out there. AND PLZ don't treat this like a like or dislike button
Trust me, if you do enjoy it well, you will tempt to rewatch it again or proceed to season 2(Motto To Love Ru).

I know that people may hate a bit of spoilers but I guess I just warn you first that I may reveal a bit that you may not want to know.
Firstly, was the story. In my point of view it was something unexpected. It was focused on a special character for the movie rather than the latest pretty cures(in this case, Smile Precure). That made the story a bit interesting cause its not that I don't like to say Pretty Cure fighting monsters and stuff, its just that I hate to keep seeing them a lot in the movies repetitively like the Pretty Cure DX
...
3. It seems that Toei have decided to change for something new and see how the fans would to accept it or not and how they react. Sadly as I know, many people do not seem to enjoy it and even say that Pretty Cure are getting from good to bad.
I put these down to the fact that there are no speaking lines for Max Heart, Splash Star and 5 Go Go and I do agree with. It was quite a disappointment but I always look for a brighter side in every anime I've watch(to avoid biasness). In the brighter side, they change the story differently and for the first time, an old villain turn nice to that special character for the movie.
And also they change the opening which I prefer. I'm starting to get sick hearing the same song at the start of every All Stars movie(but I still like it).
Only the ending was something I don't like cause they use Smile Precure Ed. Should Toei have made another new Ending Song? But I pretty much like the new opening anyway.
Thus I would say the overall was actually quite good to the fact they change for something new and want to see how fans like it or not(though I know many are not happy with it). But I love to see all those old group transformations for the latest 4 groups and their weapons which I miss them. (I only watch up to Heartcatch Pretty Cure by the way) So in overall I think the movie was great and scored better than the DX movies and the enjoyment was good.
In conclusion, if enjoy something that are different that are usually is and also want to see Smile Precure in action(if you haven't watch the series yet), then you better watch this one then. If you a hater that have watched this anime /movie or someone who like to see the old precures and fighting, don't watch this one which I highly recommended for this group of people. I'm trying to be fair in both ways so that many people can be at an advantage from this review.

Well how do I start here? Not good at introduction but I'll try anyway.
First off, take not that I'm not a kid whose watching kid shows. I know for one was that Pita Ten was aim for a younger audience but I'll put it from that perspective that was what the company was aiming at.
The story was actually quite amazing for such a show, better than what I'm expecting. It involves supernatural worlds like angel and demons coming to the human world. And better yet, there was a bit of romance and a lot of comedy in there. It was pretty much random after several
...
episode in the anime but things were just getting interesting in every episode. The best I would say was the last 6 episodes where the story will focused on each of the main characters of the show: Kotarao Higuichi, Uematsu, Ayanokonji, Misha and Shia(not in order)
These episode would be the best as you can feel all the emotions of sadness and such when you are watching it so it was the one that actually makes the overall points to be 10. But I admit that sometimes I do fast forward during the earlier episodes that are fillers to me.
Next is the art. It was made in 2002 and 2003 so I think in my opinion at that time when technology was not so advance as in now, the art would be considered the norm on that time. But still the comedy part of drawing the characters never fails to entertained me so it's quite good I would say.
Next one is the sound which was basically was cool. I never fail to watch the opening every episode because it was quite catchy and beautiful. Only the ending I did listen sometimes cause I cannot wait to watch the next one.
I would say all the characters are good, developed really well and show their characteristics for a show aimed for younger audience. I only have to complain about one which was Kaoru and Mitarai. They are so damn irritating that I feel like they are simply put there for the comedy only. These two siblings always quarrel and interferes the relationship of 2 couples in the anime which why I hate them a lot. So I am forced to downgraded the score on character for these reasons.
Thus the enjoyment was 9 but I think overall was quite good. True the anime have some defects here and there but it was very well made. Even the mange was quite popular but I haven't read it yet.
If you are searching for a show which makes you to have a laugh and also don't mind childish anime with (sometimes)random episodes , it would be a great anime to watch and sure to entertained you. If you are here to spread bad things and being sadistic about it, then I advised to keep quiet about it and dropped the whole series so you won't waste time watching it. There's only 26 episodes anyway.
