Being a huge fan of Rumspringa no Joukei I lost my marbles as soon as I realised this one was a spin-off with Danny's brother.

I wanted to see this and here I got it!! And how well exectued it was, my god.

Every element of this manga screams masterpiece. That's exactly why I gave it the appropriate scores.

I have few words and countless feelings I'd love to convey. Please if you haven't already, give this manga a shot as well as the parent story.

They are truly unique one in a million experiences.

With the number of yaoi manga I've read I can confidently say these two have ... to be the gold standard.

Honestly can't wait to read more from this author in the future!! Really hope I get the chance.

psycho-pass has become my favorite anime as of late. and in my opinion rightfully so - it has an outstanding concept, story and cast of characters.

another plus in my book is the seemless not even forced representation of some lgbtq+ characters, which i love to see in any form of media. good job

psycho-pass has such a world that you love to imagine, since it's so complex, different and interesting from ours, but would hate to actually live in - at least that's what i think of it.

the art was the only thing that felt like it was lacking at times - like in transition scenes ... kogami sometimes looked hands down horrific, but leaving those aside it could be incredibly beautiful as well.

the sibyl system as a decision making force, that takes the burden of making decisions off of people's shoulders is something on it's own that could be thoroughly discussed. but i'm not gonna go into that deeper than what that means regarding my review.

one thing that was refreshing right off the bat was that akane - unlike many heroines in anime - wasn't annoying (almost) at all. she came off rather cool in my eyes.

my review may contain SPOILERS from this point on:

other characters however made an even bigger impression on me, such as kogami and/or makishima shougo

those two.. really there couldn't have been a more perfect pair of antagonist and hero character
neither of them are black or white - and makishima being in my opinion the

best (technically) anime villain i've seen so far, and having a motive so reasonable and understandable - being making people realize how much they are missing out on not taking control of their own lives, basically losing what gave meaning to their existance in some way (at least in makishima's eyes and mine, that's for sure)

in this world fabricated of lies and deceiving people, the one who truly understands him and behaves in such a way he looks up to is none other than kogami himself
the two of them are so alike, yet just happen to be on different sides - that's the core idea which makes it so appealing to me

haven't watched season two yet, and in a way i feel like i don't have to. this was an incredibly well rounded story on its own and makishima being dead, i suspect the show to lose the very thing that made me love it so much in the first place.

can only recommend this show to people. you're really missing out on something here if you haven't seen it

or it might just happen to really be my thing, it being psychological, theoretical and quite a bit philosophical.

i personally like psychological themes the best in anime-manga or almost any other form of media. therefore that was what drew me to this manga as well.

the main character is kinda boring to be frank, but well he's not even meant to be the main attraction of the series. - that is to no one's surprise the significant other.

who has DID - which is stated to not be an absolutely correct depiction of the real life disorder, however - as unprofessional as i am in the field - i still find it a bit problematic how it's handled and ...

...later treated in the ... story. really felt to me like the easy way out - and that's what makes it a little mediocre in my eyes.

still i did enjoy reading this manga a fair amout even though it doesn't really offer you anything special other than this one theme of having this specific mental disorder.

TL;DR: if you wanna watch it 'cause it might contain BL in any way, !! DON'T !!
i just came in with the wrong expectations so it's kinda my fault that i didn't like it - character, prop (board) and sound designs are outstanding though

honestly..what was i expecting?
just another fine example of queerbaiting , but in the end it was me who was stupid enough to fall for it.

seriously, why did i think that THIS TIME MAYBE it could be different. another sports anime with queer-coded characters but it's not even said to be shounen -ai so formally i don't get to complain.. yet ... i still feel so betrayed.

the story itself was also something i've seen a million times already over and over..such a disappointment.

the characters at least had personality, and the art was good - so not everything about this show was negative

should have just known not to expect more from the director of Free! - still not willing to take the risk NOR DRAWING MALE NIPPLES(!!!!)

read way to much yaoi for my own good. but this one really stands out
actually read this one over and over, but still feel like there's really something special here.

definitely worth a read
... oh and don't be a dumbass like i was, the numbers represent how old they are at the time, that's an important part of the concept - as the story covers course of their lives

(also made me tear up at the end but maybe i just have a softspot for this type of relationship or the values these characters hold dear to themselves)
