Well to start off i absolutely LOVED this manga, it had everything to suit my needs : romance, action, a storyline, drama etc
So on to the manga it self:-
ART: like i've mentioned i love the old style artwork BUT i'm aware that this would not suit everyone's taste however having said that, while you might not love the art style no one can truly fault it because i feel that it suits the story and the time period the manga is portraying. so art gets a 10/10 from me.
STORY: the storyline is one of the most original i have read in the shoujo genre and
...
trust me i have run the gauntlet of the typical storylines from female heroines who are ditsy and naive or the whole fall for a bad guy who isnt really all he seems...etc. now dont get me wrong i'm a fan of of shoujo but while Pansy is very much shoujo it is so original and has different turns and twist while still retaining that touch of sparkle - that i almost feel i do it a disservice if i classified it as only shoujo.
A glimpse of the story can be gotten from the overview/manga description however that would just be scratching the surface of this storyline, which has more intrigue, romance and adventure than one sees at first glance.
so storyline gets 10/10
Overall, i would say that if you love shoujo then read this (you dont know what your missing), if you like romance then read this, if you like adventure, or a historical setting, basically i'm trying to say that this manga has something for everybody - obviously i would hesistate to recommend this to fans of mangas like naruto or bleach or one piece as this is not in that same league nor is it meant to be.
But for those with more broader tastes (or even narrow tastes but who wish to expand) Pansy would be a great choice as i truly enjoyed it and so it gets an enjoyment score of 10/10
