Both anime are a solid balance of dark plot and humour, and are backed by very similar character dynamics and power systems. Excellent animation and visuals.

Both series are intense emotional journeys that focus on the issues of generational and familial trauma, connecting with others, and developing as an individual. Both have a slight fantasy element that accentuates the overall plot, along with beautiful animation, scoring and character development.

If you liked Haikyuu!! add

Both are very sweet sports anime that focus on the development of a "forgotten" team as they fight to get to the top. You connect emotionally to each of the team members, and their progression together from start to finish is a very enjoyable watch.

If you liked Black Lagoon add

Both anime are quite heavy watches, and navigate the darker facets of society in gun/gang violence, child abuse and drug dealing. The dynamic between the main two characters is also quite similar; an innocent dragged into the criminal underworld against their will, and a hardened underworld figure whose pain goes far beneath the surface. Just as Rock and Revy's development depends largely upon the other, Banana Fish revolves around the bond between the two protagonists, and how it affects their characters individually.
