I really enjoyed the first season of this show, and the beginning of the second season was a pretty good continuation of that.
If you've already watched season one and are wondering if you should watch the next, this would be my advice to you: Start season 2 and then stop when you finish episode 6. It makes sense to stop there and it would be a really nice ending. The little bear even mentions how ep 6 feels like a last episode. I wish I did this, and because I didn't, this series now leaves a bad taste in my mouth.

Science obsessed nerds scientifically obsessing about love. It’s very cute. It's funny. A great, lighthearted watch.
Story: While watching romance anime, sometimes it feels like the writers have the same outline of tropes and cliches that they want to hit, and then they try to conjure up a new way to somehow put the characters in those situations. This certainly isn’t always bad, but sometimes makes the romantic progression feel forced/unnatural/lacking warmth… almost like these writers are scientists forcing lab rats (characters) through countless mazes (stories/plots), that vary slightly but ultimately have the same checkpoints and objective (romantic milestones/tropes).
