Darker than Black: Kuro no Keiyakusha

Both set in rather dark and misterious environment, with a motive of main heroes searching for their identity and being trapped in a network of connections that not only can't be trusted, but also seem to be relatively changing with the plot. And most important of all (even though I rated Ergo Proxy slightly higher) - they are great series, evolving with time, yet very addictive from first eps.

although both productions are telling totally different stories, both of them take a deep insight into humans' souls, their sercet desires and weaknesses. both treat about people who lost their way and now seek the way back. set in different realities, Haibane Renmei as well as Gedo Senki points out that no matter how much we sin, we are only humans and there's still the hope for us if we are able to admit our failures. to sum up, both are great anime worth giving a try.

I would recommend these stories to everybody, couse they'rere manga with the message. both main characters are female and had to endure a lot in the past. now we can see how they are trying to forget about difficult experiences (which is not so easy). would that be possible with the help of friends and 'that one' ? The thing I really admire is that they are quite serious stories, not just a shortl one-shoots you flip through, becouse you are sure there will be a happy end.

both manga treat about the first, pure love which has to overcome some difficulties. if you like a bit romantic, sweet stories, where a boy always behaves like a prince ;) then you should go for it.

the striking similiarities are especially really cute, beautifull drawings - although their plots are different, when I saw 'Angel Dust', 'Chobits' were the first thing that came to my mind :)

both stories treat about teenage girls and their relationships with boys. although their plots are rather different, both of them are good reads and have similiar nice climax. the drawings are really nice (especially in Lovenista). I think that after reading a one of them, you'ii enjoy the other. [ btw. I don't think that Nana and Lovenista are similiar at all! don't be tricked. ]

well, the biggest similarity between that TV series is that both of them are treating about *school times*, so you know - in general school, friends, boyfriends&girlfriends, first love, family, intrests etc. but in my opinion 'Myself;Yourself' has a more mature attitude to these issues and shows the life of teenagers which is not always as colorful as somebody might think. That anime have a deep insight into serious youth's problems, such as difficult past or family conflicts, which are sometimes downgraded by other productions. The plot stays in your mind and makes you think. moreover, it's well-done and watching is a great pleasure! I would recommend it for everybody - the anime has only 13 episodes, but it's really worth watching. I guess that's currently my fav ;) 'Clannad' was more like a pure entertainment for me - makes you really relaxed ;)! the biggest advantage of that series is a great sense of humour - it really makes you laugh outloud at times ^_- Dialogues are great and characteres very nice, especially Tomoya-kun ^^. but if you are 'anime obsessed ' and usually prefer sth which forces you to think about various issues , you may be disappointed and bored at times.
