i usually don't give low score to an anime. i usually hate to see people giving low score.
but i really tried to love this anime.... I REALLY DID... i even scored this anime an overall 8 before (when i was at eps 12)
GC fanboy/fangirl may hate me. but i just want to tell you my honest opinion about this anime. and this maybe can save some people from wasting their precious limited life time on earth. and don't worry, this review is spoiler free.
STORY :
FIRST ARC [ 7 ] , SECOND ARC [ 3 ]
well...how do i put this... my opinion about the story
...
is divided into 2... first arc (ep 1-12) and second arc (13-final)
FIRST ARC : [ 7 ]
even though there's some inconsistencies, but i actually still enjoyed it. it ended beautifully too. this show should have ended at eps 12. if you plan on watching this anime, i suggest you to stop at eps 12... to save your sanity.
ooh.. if you have weird taste or if you want to see what'd happen if the writer do some "crazy shit experiment" to the story, you may continue to the second arc.
SECOND ARC : [ 3 ] "okaaay....for fuck's sake...just what the fucking fuck did i just watch?"
actually i wanted to give it [ 1 ].
i'm not trolling. i just being honest. you want to hate me already? okay hate me. i don't mind.
after you reach episode 16, this anime became a big mess of disturbing randomness. it's so fucked up and beyond repair. i don't know whether they made it for the sake of trolling or maybe the writer has mental disorder?
i named it : "THE WAR BETWEEN MENTAL INSTITUTION PATIENTS."
you'll see some characters suddenly changed from likeable into assholes and disturbing freaks. it's like watching a completely different anime with same name and character design.
if you have weird taste or mental disorder, you'd likely love it.
as for me.... GC already ended at ep 12. for me, the second arc is only a parallel universe or i prefer it doesn't even exist. because it's so fucked up that I DO NOT acknowledge its existence.
ART : [ absolute 9 ] beautiful. stunning. hands down!
SOUND : [ 8 ] nice soundtrack, good voice acting. no complaint from me.
CHARACTER : [ 6 ]
well, from design perpective, i give it [ 8 ]. good job REDJUICE!
but when it comes to character personality, there's so much inconsistency in some characters especially shu.
well, if this show ended at ep 12, i'd give it [ 7 ].
after you reach episode 16 onward the characters became so confusing you would even hate some likeable characters, and even feel sick about em. they changed without any strong reason.
it feels like the writer changed the characters' personality just for trolling purpose.
