Based from the first season, I think the second season would be a good one to watch until the end because I got interested about what will be happen to this couple, Yuuta and Rikka
But after I finished watch this serial. Here's some review for you
[Story]
Basically, I really enjoyed the story they make. I still can't believe about how they make a long enough story with something that you never thought it would be. Unfortunately, I'm a freshman in anime world and I didn't know that Kyoto Animation always have something that can make you surprised (and surprises are not always good for a story
...
line)
I felt a bit disappointed. Sometimes, I found some episode were "Out of track" and looks like a filler episode. One thing that I can't handle much more is troll from KyoAni. It always ruined a good climax into a joke easily and this is a big disaster for every people who want to watch something because they want to get a good story (just like me)
[Art]
Just like another KyoAni's productions, they always made it with a very good details and moe characters. Chuuni battle in this series made me really enjoy the battle. The collaboration between handed-drawing and CGI tech really make an epic battle with a high quality graphics. Also, the background is good enough with some details
[Sound]
I wasn't good enough at music. But I didn't get anything wrong in this series. I enjoyed the OP and ED which mixed perfectly with the scene. I found that some sad and romace scene with background music was helpful to build the feel of the scene. Nothing to be disappointed at this part
[Character]
This is the main reason I want to watch this series. I wanted to get a good development from Rikka, who hasn't grow enough at the first season. But she doesn't make a significant changes. Luckily, for some people whose had a chuunibyou in their past, they can feel what she really want to do to Yuuta. I can see a good personality from Rikka who just looks like she didn't have any except her syndrome
The new character, Satone whose bring the conflict in this season was successfully make some people confused about whose side I should take. Another supporting character like Nibutani, Dekomori, and Kumin also done a good job to help Yuuta and Rikka to develop their love. I feel sorry to Isshiki. He just like disappear in this season and didn't have any significant development
But (again) a bad ending just make every good development in this season looks unimportant anymore
[Enjoyment]
In this part, I will separate it
For people who really want to get a good story:
I think you still can enjoy this season as long as you keep focus at the main line and think that some troll and "out of track" episode is just something to entertain you. I think this serial also give a deep meaning about "who am I" and "what should I do to make another people happy?"
For people who want to get a good comedy and some epic battle:
You can enjoy this season same as the first season. There are some comedy scene which can make you pause your video player just because you cannot stop laughing in a while. How about the battle? Same as the first season, epic and has a good graphic, and get an ear-candy music
[Overall]
If I took from the story, this season is a little bit worse than the first. But it still enjoyable and make you curious about what will be happen after it (at least you can say that before the last episode)
If I took from the enjoyable, this season bring a fair slice for the comedy, drama, and the romance
If you just curious about what happened to Yuuta and Rikka after the first season and really expected a good drama in this season, you may leave this series. But if you want to get more epic battle and get entertained by some comedy, you can watch this series
