The last piece of jigsaw was revealed. Eventually, the long-time series, ‘Attack on Titan’, completed its story with this final movie. I was really surprised after they announced the final season three years ago, but it actually came to an end this year. After watching this ending movie I’ve come to realize how good it was and why you should watch the series to this final movie. I rated the score by using these criteria: the story, animation, background music, and overall production. (This review contains some spoils!!)
The whole story according to all parts of series and movies has been shifting its main theme
...
many times. At the beginning of the series, it is almost the survival theme that humankind is attacked by titans, so Eren and his comrades) must survive in this dystopian world. After many truths were revealed, the main theme changed to the war of many nations around the world against Eldia. However, nothing surprised me more than the fact that Eren is not the protagonist anymore. In the end, he is the antagonist who wants to destroy the world using Titan’s special power, however, he is still the villain to the end. I had a little hope that he would become the old Eren but no. These complex situations were composed of the stress of the story and from the characters like Eren, Armin, Mikasa, Levi, and the higher-ups. The screenplays were very intensive line by line. Every word any character says has its hidden meaning and is a clue to the upcoming story. For instance, when Eren talks with Reiner before transforming underground, he says "Reiner, I'm the same as you." Then, the episode afterward is all about Eren’s destroying Reiner’s hometown recalling when Reiner was undercover and demolished Eren’s home. Furthermore, the quote I liked the most from Eren is “I'm a slave to freedom”. It gave me a lot of excitement all the time watching this. Many interesting issues reflect the social values, ethics, beliefs, politics, and international relations, for instance, the military power of Eldia and Marley, the monarchy of the king’s Fizt dynasty, friendship vs. higher-up orders, the worship of God, coup de ta, the humanity of Titan, the fear of the mass, sacrifice of one group of people, hero, anti-hero, fighting for freedom, curiosity of a man, and right of a dreamer. All these social issues made me stressed, thrilled, exhilarated, and wanted to follow more. In the end, this movie gave it a best shot conveying the reasons for Eren’s decision to destroy the whole world, however, I think it should have more screen time. The length of the movie is only 1 hour and a half which is not enough to cover all the remaining manga. So, I just gave 8 out of 10 for the ending story. I think if they had adapted the last story into an animation series would have had enough time to explain and express Eren’s decision.
Beyond the show's captivating story, the animation quality was equally impressive, particularly during the action sequences. The picture motion was very gorgeous. They meticulously took care of every detail according to the manga. I think Mappa (the new studio) lives up to its name. Very beautiful colors and tones. Nevertheless, they put too much smoke and vapor after the exploding scene. I like the way WitStudio (the old studio) uses action effects much more than this. I gave it 9 for this part.
Another element that significantly enhanced the viewing experience for me was the series' music, which perfectly complemented the emotional intensity of each scene. The music was an essential part of the action genre. Even though the studio was changed the music director is still the same person, Hiroyuki Sawano. He is the GOAT (greatest of all time) in the Japanese music industry literally. The background music was very remarkable. You would recognize them immediately if you heard one of them. I felt goosebumps every time the music was suddenly intense. The orchestra was an indispensable part of making music. I felt overwhelmed listening to these delicate arts. Full marks! 10/10 out of questions.
All in all, I think this movie has done its final job completely. The story was not a plotting twist at the end but reflective. Mappa made a great contribution to the picture quality and motion, besides, the music was a masterpiece. If you are looking for an action, political, military, and historical movie with exquisite pictures to binge-watch, “Attack on Titan” (Shingeki no Kyojin) is what you need. Watch them all in this final movie. It’s quite hard to find a series/movie which is good from beginning to end. For some who are not familiar with anime, just try to open up because you should watch this, and you will not get out of the anime ever. Really recommend !!! 🤭

I am really impressive watching this movie at the theater. The story is simple and distinguishably great shonen. The progress is not slow but syncs well with the screenplays and sounds. Mappa did their best job as ever on the quality of pictures. The motion in action scenes are splendid and I love the tone of the color that looks so religious and antique. Music in the opening scene got me a goosebump. Background music has a spectacular sound and it homogeneously gets along with the characters' sentiments. The mainly focused character in this show is Okkotsu Yuta. Mappa attempted to pull out his background,
...
emotion, and his thoughts but it was not enough. Especially, the emotion between Yuta and Rika was too immediate and superficial. On the contrary, Gojo Satoru, Geto Suguru, Senin Maki and Inumaki Toge are exorbitantly outstanding in the way they were expressed their despair, shame and passion. Lastly, I enjoyed watching this movie contentedly. I wanted to walk back to the theater hall and watch it again. Overall I did love this since I am a fan of this show. I really recommend this show to anyone who like somber, fantasy, religious, action shonen anime. 9/10 for this and now I am looking forward to the next season of Jujutsu Kaisen!!!

This is my first Donghua and it's really damn good. The story is obviously exciting, impressive, emotional and enthusiastic. There are many issue in the series that reflect Chinese culture problem, work life, parent and child, inequality of education system, family and friendship. I feel okay with the quality of the picture but I want this to have more detail and to be more distinct. Then, the very very great part is sounding. In this series, I've noticed every single scene has a fit background music and it really help to emphasize the emotion. Also, OP and ED are epic. Every character has their style
...
but I want more detail and their past. I think they gradually would reveal in the very next season. Absolutely, This is entertaining. Actually, I want to give it 9.5 but 9 for overall is relatively high in my list. Last thing to remind, THIS IS SO GOOOOOOOOD!!!!!!

Why is it I was so disappointed. I had been looking forward to seeing this classical music type of anime but...😡 The very first episode were good and honestly I rewatched them around 5 times. I like the background music, Op, Ed and Takt's piano but around the middle of the story I thought it didn't have any valid reason of the conflict between that military guy and his characteristic was not clear and every character should had more background. Actually, I could watch it till the end because I want to hear some of Takt's piano and beautiful classical music but the very end
...
episode has only such a heedless story and solution. Overall, give it 6/10. (Music is good but story sucks!)

Soundtrack was obviously a masterpiece! Production was worth watching. To compares with these day anime, this is really great motion picture. I just noticed that in most action scenes they only put on sound effects of smashing, crashing, bomb but not "arrrrrrh"/ "ouchhhh"/ "yaaaa" or anything like that ( just felt odd because currently anime has it significantly). One thing I wanted more in this show is to give us more information about backstory of Spike and the organization. It was said from very first episode but gone for long time and come back again at the final episode which made me felt at a

loss. But overall it was a one of legendary anime of all time for me.😋
