This will be my first proper review of a manga.
Story: 8/10
Our protagonist gets sucked into a game meant to solve debt problems. The thing is he isn't the one who got them into the game. So it has to be one of his friends. The longer the game lasts, the more the MC realizes that he wants to destroy the game itself.
Art: 10/10
The art is very good. It may be a monthly so you'd usually expect good art, but I can't deny the fact that Tomodachi Game's art style is very visually appealing.
Character: 8/10
It's like an 8 or a 9, I'd go with an
...
8. I love the main character and his unusual problem solving methods. The rest of the cast is enjoyable too, besides Makoto, I don't like him whatsoever. I'll give a brief summary of the cast.
Yuuichi: The MC, he's interesting and has got an unusual way of thinking to say the least.
Shiho: I dare to say the deuteragonist, a girl who keeps order. The word that describes her best is justice.
Yutori: a girl, who doesn't seem to add much to the plot, but she will (iykyk)
Makoto: a pervert, who is the walking L of the cast. Most unlikable of the bunch.
Tenji: The calm guy of the group, who thinks rationally. Probably the 3rd most important of the bunch.
Enjoyment: 9/10
It's very enjoyable, but at times I feel like it's a bit stretched out especially because it's a manga you got to wait a whole month to get a new chapter. Also the plot might sometimes get a bit repetitive with the problem-solving and how everything goes 180 degrees.

Generally, I am not a fan of isekais, most are copy paste overpowered MC who gets a harem. Usually the main character is also Mr. goody shoes, whose flaws you can count with max 1 hand.
Enter Mushoku Tensei.
The main character: a NEET pervert scumbag, who attempts to change, yet still is a pervert. It's interesting to see a main character, who is very much flawed, which makes it much more enjoyable to watch this anime. He is still very OP in terms of power, but it's not like he can solo his own verse or anything, he's just OP to an extent.
If there's something
...
else very praiseworthy, it'd be the world building.
Despite being 23 episodes long, this anime has got a very well put together world, which is made up of countries, continents, different kinds of intelligent species and languages.
Also praiseworthy is the sound and art department. I usually don't listen to OPs every time in animes (sorry), but in Mushoku Tensei, it's usually so calming and I can't really explain it, but it really fits in the isekai fantasy medieval vibe. The openings are unique too, they usually give a brief little introduction to the episode in a passive way. The art is very nice to look at, the fights are well animated, everything is running smooth and is pleasant to look at.
The story in short is to get Eris back home. It often isn't smooth sailing, and we get to see this big isekai world expanded upon time after time. Rudeus and co frequently get sidetracked by different obstacles as we get to meet or reunite with some old and new characters alike. It's simple, it isn't something like "Defeat the demon lord and save the world" type shananigans, it's something more simple.
The characters.
I already talked about Rudeus, so I will talk about the other 3 major characters. All characters develop and change due to their interactions with the reincarnated Rudeus.
Ruijerd: a sperd who accompanies Rudeus and Eris, you could say he's their parent representative, he's got a goal of eliminating the fear that surrounds the Supard race.
Eris: a girl, who starts off as a tsundere little brat, who didn't know better. But as time goes on, she warms up to everyone around her. Also a strong warrior.
Roxy: Rudeus's magic teacher, who's assigned herself the task of making sure that Rudeus is safe after the mana calamity.
To sum up this a medieval fantasy isekai done right, the sound and art is top-notch, the story is good, and the world building is excellent despite how little episodes there have been, the characters are flawed, which make them a lot better in my opinion. This is probably my favorite anime that was made this year, I'm hoping to see the continuation of this series.

Alright let me start this review off by saying the following: Have you ever watched some romance anime and wondered it's weird that every girl just hovers around the MC like he's the sun? Well, this anime doesn't have this at all. This is a romance that is very likely to happen in real life. The shy awkwardness and interactions of Akane and Kotarou, the fact that not everything in your romance goes your
...
way. Also the fact that getting together with someone is bound to hurt some other people in the process. I think the only negative thing I can say about this anime is that the CGI scenes look terrible, but that did not affect my enjoyment of this romance anime.

I'm on chapter 80 and this looks like it could challenge rent a gf in being the "one piece of rom com". The development is really slow and with some kts lowkey nonexistent, nothing happens and some sgjff are just left out, like the mystery of Sosuke. The characters are pretty bland. MC is dull with not much of a personality, even though at the beginning he had promise. The girl cast doesn't save the manga aswell. The art is good, not exceptional, but nice to look at. The beginning has a nice promise, it's like domestic no kanojo with the whole step sister thing,
...
but that manga had a lot of dramatic sequences. If you want to read a good romcom harem, read nisekoi.

This is my first time writing a review.
Have you ever heard of the phrase: "It's so bad, that it's good."
Well this anime goes through that phrase infinitely. I don't know how to describe it, but I went through a bipolar disorder watching this. My soul hurts when I watched it, but at the same time I wanted to finish this. The characters are hot garbage and the MC is worse than Kazuya from Rent-a-GF. I never felt worse for a girl more than I felt for Kotonoha. Conclusively I don't even know who's the worst character in this anime, I thought it was Makoto,
...
but I'm not sure if Makoto's decisions were all because of Sekai or not.
To summarise, this anime is hot garbage, it made my heart pound like it was AOT S3 P2. The excitement yet the embarrassment from this is too much. Watch at your own discretion. If you ever feel like you are an asshole then watch this anime and you'll know you are a far better person than anyone from this anime EXCEPT Kotonoha and Setsuna
