** Spoiler Free Review**
To me, when reviewing Maid Dragon S it helps to remember what I thought about Season 1 because there are some major differences to be aware of. Depending on what you expect or want out of it, it may affect whether you'll enjoy it or not.
I was so excited to watch season 2 of Maid Dragon because I absolutely loved the first. I was all for the comedy, the light-hearted SoL elements, the sketches-- it reminded me of the classic KyoAni anime that are my favorite of all time such as Clannad and Nichijou. Season 1 never delved too deeply into the
...
characters and mainly used the characters for hilarious comedic moments that not only made me laugh but make me feel warm and fuzzy inside. I was totally left with an anime hangover after finishing season 1.
I then started Maid Dragon S and from the OP you can already tell this is going to be a different type of anime compared to the first season. Without going into spoilers, this anime goes way more into the characters, and the pacing and animation direction (not the art) is very different compared to S1. I don't believe it's because of the horrible incident that happened in 2019 because most of the staff returned to produce Maid Dragon S (although the positions of the returning leads were shuffled around a bit), I actually think the changes in direction and tone is intentional. It reminds me of ZZ Gundam where the first half of the show is oddly enough mostly comedy, then the second half is more traditional Gundam story-telling pertaining to war, drama, and politics.
I'm not going to lie, it really put me off at first how different S2 was, the feeling and vibe of the show is very different. I loved S1 so much I would have been totally fine with just more Maid Dragon, although you might have felt like S1 was very complete as it was, in the end I loved the changes they made. It really explores the characters more than the first season did, the animation even improved with more sakuga scenes and expressive animation moments. I feel like I laughed more in S1, though S2 made me die laughing in some parts, in S2 I loved the characters more.
Regarding the returning characters: Tohru had more serious topics explored and it's impressive how much she's grown, Kanna had way more development and personality than simply moe bait, Elma who felt like an after thought in S1 became one of my favorite characters and developed her character with her working in the office with Kobayashi as well as other developments to her character, and Lucoa who was just a big titty dragon lady I grew to love her dynamic with Shota-- a weird motherly, teasing, romantic relationship that would be very illegal in the real world, but works so well. Fafnir is still being an Otaku, and Kobayashi is her usual self but grows to be more conscientious about her dragon household. Lastly the new character, Ilulu, seems to be a bit controversial. I was also worried that her presence would steer the show in a direction I didn't like, and her "character design" is ridiculous (her milkers are absurd for her proportions... at least on Lucoa it's somewhat believable) though I don't think she ruined the show like most of the negative reviewers say and I think she actually added to the show. In general you see sides of characters you didn't see before and that's a great thing.
The English dub is also superb. Even some of the voice actors for namely Tohru and Kanna seemed to improve their voices for their returning roles.
Overall, I loved Maid Dragon S just as much, if not more than season 1. Although there are some differences, it's a feel good anime and I will assure you if you liked the first season, or KyoAni in general, you will enjoy Maid Dragon S. If anything more anime should really change things up for following seasons like Maid Dragon did. I just love KyoAni and the Maid Dragon series to me is so reminiscent of their earlier works that I love so much. It was such a great, heart-warming, and refreshing series to watch after a long hiatus from watching anime. I highly recommend!

Let's keep this review short, I don't like long reviews, I'm a busy guy with not a lot of free time. Even still, I find it hard to not write a bit about this anime Cross Game, even after two weeks of watching it.
From what you can read from the synopsis, the story is about a boy, Kou, who had a childhood love with a girl Wakaba, one of four sisters who run a small family batting center/cafe in with their father.
It actually starts after the first episode (you'll see what I mean.....), and what you will experience is something you probably never have before.
...
In general the anime may appear to be a simple slice of life story in a baseball setting on the surface with a predictable theme or overlying plot, but Cross Game will send all your expectations you may have from what you assume from the first episodes out of the BALL PARK. You WILL be proven wrong. You'll witness some of the most believable characters you'll EVER see in an anime.... I can guarantee you that.
What makes it a home run (no pun intended), are mainly the interpersonal relationships between all the characters, the beautiful art from the classic manga writer Adachi, and the amazing OST.
This series needs so much more attention because it doesn't have all the cliche anime tropes or the sleek, modern anime art style we're all so used to now. But even then, if it's in your plan to watch, PLEASE WATCH IT NOW. I don't hand out 10's very easily, let alone write reviews, but this series deserves it. You WILL have a great anime completed after finishing this masterpiece.

There aren't a whole lot of proper reviews for Gundam UC on MAL, which is sort of upsetting. I'm not one to write incredibly detailed reviews because for that, just watch the damned thing. For me, this review, or rather a reflection would serve as a tool to cure my anime hangover that Gundam UC left me with. This is also for those who need proper intuition with this epic metaseries. *Spoiler Free, duh*
The issue with Gundam Unicorn is that it sort of sits at a paradox. As a standalone, it's a hell of an anime; but your experience greatly depends on whether you have
...
the knowledge of the Universal Century (you know, Mobile Suit Gundam) to fully grasp the scope of the anime. Unicorn serves as the penultimate conclusion to the Universal Century story that started back in 1979 in the timeless tale known as Mobile Suit Gundam 0079, the OYW (one year war).
Growing up with Gundam, the story seen with my eyes absolutely differs from those who wanted to simply watch "a mecha" or "a gundam". Go find a Gainax anime or Studio Bones anime, for Mobile Suit Gundam Unicorn is a direct continuation of CCA (Char's Counter Attack) rather than a new high budget Gundam project. It's not simply a Gundam... it's THE GUNDAM, and the final chapter for that matter.
An example, those who rate this lowly also believe Banagher Links is a whiny two-dimensional cookie-cutter protag, and that Riddhie is an emo cry baby, and Mineva Zabi is a lifeless zombie, and Full Frontal's a bad guy who has evil/bad intentions and everyone should die. Those are associations created by those who do not fully comprehend the story told.
If you haven't watch the previous TV series, and many times before for that matter, you're better off not watching it at all because it's not meant for you. This is an entirely exclusive experience, and you're not welcome to watch or rate unless your a fan of Mobile Suit Gundam... because Unicorn is simply not meant for you. If one plans to watch this improperly, you'll be taking back about a tenth of the experience (that being animation and ost), while Gundam aficionados are getting the full 100%.
On a brighter note, it's never too late to watch the classics, because you're missing out on the most important anime of a lifetime. Go back an enjoy the masterpieces that are MSG 0079, Zeta, ZZ, CCA, even the OVA's 08th MS, and 0080. Go ahead and enjoy the metaseries and immerse yourself in it's rich universe. I may have came off as pretentious or discouraging, but truth be told, it is what it is.
On a side note, don't you dare read this and think you're ready
http://kotaku.com/5987499/heres-what-youll-want-to-know-before-watching-gundam-unicorn
Oh yeah, and Art/Sound/Characters/ Enjoyment/Overall 10/10, like that matters.

It's sort of pointless to write a review for a classic anime that is already well-known and respected for being great, but because Hajime no Ippo took me by such surprise I feel the need to write about my feelings towards this masterpiece. So I'll keep it relatively short.
To begin with, the story seems typical as many mentioned before. A kid who was often bullied and never had confidence had a fateful encounter with Takamura, the middle weight champion of japan and introduced him into boxing.
What is atypical about Hajime no Ippo is how this "shonen" anime has both characteristics of battle shonens such
...
as comedy, action, but also contain the complexities of dramas such as themes of family, romance, failure & hardships, and goals & dreams.
That aside, we progress through the journey of Ippo Makunouchi and I personally saw myself in Ippo. Never had an anime made me reflect onto my own life and inspire me to move forward like Hajime no Ippo did. Every challenger Ippo faced made Ippo learn more both boxing and himself. Every match was so intense, I was on the edge of my seat everytime. Boxing never got old in Hajime no Ippo, it only got better. 76 eps does not do this amazing piece of art justice, thankfully there is more to watch in the future.
I am grateful I came across this anime at this critical point in my life, because it totally changed my outlook and it would change yours too. This is one of the greatest anime of all time, and EVERYONE needs to experience this. I never know an anime can make me feel such strong emotions such as those I experience in real life.
10/10
Also, for those wondering if the dub is worth it. It's pretty good. B+, it is consistent and did not impact the quality of the show by any means.

I remember watching the first episode of the OVA back when I was a kid, and I always wanted to finish the special but never had a chance to up until now. Giant robo is a special kind of anime that is like no other because it's based off of a 60's manga. This klind of classic doesn't get the attention it deserves so I intend to share my experience with others in hopes of having more people recognize this great anime.
Story: The anime shoves it's plot down your throat consistently throughout the entire anime, which is sort of a bad thing. While the story
...
is epic in proportions and has a drama and intensity of greek theater, the plot is riddled with holes and inconsistencies that plague the anime from about the middle to the end. What's charming is that it never fails to make the audience want to care and understand the world in which the protagonists and antagonists live in; and because of this it keeps the story enjoyable because it's bad plot doesn't take away from the story told.
Art & Sound: By far the strongest aspect of the anime. It's production value is INSANELY high. The original score is absolutely fantastic and the animation is top notch. The art style is much like astro boy or the more recent kikaider with an older, more traditional anime character design as in the 60's and 70's manga and animation. It's a nice change of pace from the huge eyes and pointy colorful hair. Also, the English dub is AWESOME. The quality of the English dubs in this OVA were spectacular! Never were there lines lost in translation and nothing sounded off and strange, it was just perfectly suiting for the anime. The main characters had a great cast that had enthusiasm and voices to match their respective characters.
Overall: While the anime struggles to deliver a good plot for the audience, it doesn't fail to present to us a beautiful story told with great animation, sound, and character design. While it has many flaws, there was never a dull moment watching this long OVA. Every minute you spend, regardless the good or the bad were enjoyed because the anime is incredibly enjoyable to watch.
It's a flawed masterpiece.

Short meaningful review for those who don't read the essays other users post.
In a nutshell, MSG SEED was a modern interpretation of the one year war. Where the UC gundam universe is rich with lore and exposition, SEED fails to carry that sense of gundam grandeur that the originals had.
This doesn't mean SEED didn't deliver. Coming from a elitist UC gundam fan, I'm not embarrassed to say I genuinely enjoyed SEED a lot.
While UC gundam follows a trend of delivering implicit details that suggest previous knowledge of older gundams like 0079, zeta, cca, and 0080, SEED is a complete package where as it's
...
much simpler and easier to watch for casual anime watchers while gundam enthusiasts disavowal it at first glance.
In general every character in SEED is a clone of a previous gundam character, while certain key plot elements were mutated and watered down for the ease of comprehension of what gundam is generally about; such as war, love, rivalry, and politics.
The superficial components of the anime such as art sound is good. Not great, not bad, but it's done well enough to not take away from the story.
I highly recommend SEED to those gundam lovers who want something fresh, yet familiar. Just make sure you have an open mind and to not be opinionated while watching it. It's good

I feel the need to review this since it has such a low popularity rating on MAL and it doesn't recieve too much attention. This anime is very underrated, and I hope this review will help others discover this anime and give it a chance.
Story: The premise of the anime is simple, a group of friends start a choir club and unintentionally/implicitly compete against the schools chorus club who's sponsor is the vice principal who's an alleged **** The anime's plot is so simple and it's nothing to write home about, but it's so enjoyable for it's simplicity. The anime slowly unravels and develops each
...
character and this may be a slight tear-jerker. 7/10
Art: The animation is great, though character design may seem blandish, the characters WILL grow on you. The backgrounds make the anime's world seem very immersive and realistic 8/10
Sound: This anime is all about music, so what can you expect? Don't compare this to k-on!, it's nothing like it. The anime's approach on music is much more beautiful, seeing how totally different people can all come together and relate their problems through the expression of music. Although the songs may not be as catchy as you might expect, by the end you'll be humming the tunes all day and night 9.5/10
Characters: The characters in this anime aren't cookie-cutter simple, but not too involving either. The anime is so simple so don't expect some deep, mind boggling or heart-wrenching shit, but I gurantee you'll love the characters in the end as mentioned before. 7/10
Enjoyment/Overall: This anime is so heart-warming you will NOT regret watching this one. You'll notice the anime is so entertaining and seemless to watch. Don't have second thoughts on this because this just may be one of your favorites. 8/10
Also, for those into anime chicks, Sawa may be the love of your life, just sayin

For those who troll saying the original is better, I haven't seen the original, but not having watched the original has no effect on how much I enjoyed the anime for what it was, and it's awesome so far. I don't like writing reviews, especially lengthy ones, because seriously who reads all?
Story: Finishing the Phantom Troupe arc (ep58), I feel as I have watched enough to criticize the anime. For a shonen, this anime's story gets pretty deep, it's actually enjoyable and it isn't riddled with nonsense super powers or melodrama that every shonen has. EVERYTHING is explained and it makes sense 9/10
Art: Art
...
is great, nothing super-extraordinary but the action sequences are to die for, and animation quality is super consistent. 9/10
Sound: The opening and endings are awesome, the ost's good too. 10/10
Characters: This is where the anime really shines. Every character is 3 dimensional, you could never anticipate completely what a character would do because you're not always given that characters subjective viewpoint all the times. There are instances where every character decides on different actions, and this is due to their conflicting characters, but friendship usually overcomes this.
tl:dr FULL OF CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
For those itching for a shonen anime, watch this one. You will NOT regret it. on a side note, those complaining it's too light hearted in comparison to the original need to reconsider their lives, seriously. Those giving this bad ratings troll saying the 99' is better haven't seen past the first 4 fucking episodes. Their opinions are INVALID.
Overall 9.5/10

After war gundam resets the values created by the UC timeline. This gundam asks "what-if" this happened in the one year war, and the after math is what's presented in the anime. The characters are deep, the plot is deep, the only thing holding this anime back was the sound and animation. Other than that, if you're a UC gundam fan, you would absolutely love this and will not regret expanding your UC gundam lore.
Overall 8/10, a great one!
