In addition to both having similar a similar title and font used, there are some other similarities. They both feature a man who goes to the big city of Tokyo to make it big, who for some reason has to go back to the country side. In both instances, the man has some level of skill or appreciation towards a traditional Japanese art [wagashi (sweets) and shodo (calligraphy)]. They're both dramas that have both light-hearted and heavy scenes but what's different is that deaimon focusses more on developing character plotlines, and it's a bit more dramatic. Personally, I prefer barakamon story-wise, but I have no complaints about deaimon production-wise.

Yakuzas that seem scary at first but are surprisingly normal presented in a comedic format.

The main characters, sakata gintoki and glenn radars. They both have this bad past where they were in war. Both shows use the sames visuals too for this. They're standing on a bunch of corpses (of the soldiers in the battle) while regretting being a joi rebel/mage of justice. Despite being fairly strong, these characters act like a fool for most of the show.

The references (parody). In no game no life, there are references to: jojos, a ghibli film, doraemon, akiba'strip, steins gate, persona, and so on. In hayate no gotoku, some references are to: evangelion, some show with inazuma in the name, detective conan, the ring, and more. The general comedy is a bit different, with hayate no gotoku being more meta, and 4th wall breaking (speaking straight to the viewer). No game no lifes comedy is more focused on how each character acts on his or her own, individually, which is different to konosuba, which is funny because of how the characters react to each other.

The artwork. also similar to zetsubou sensei. You have messages on the background (blackboard, chip bags, etc.), actual photos mixed in. Manga like tones are added, background charactes are left faceless.

I can appreciate both series due to the references they make. In Hajimete no Gal, there are some references like to Charlie Brown. In Gamers, there are references to the ps4, probably because sony has to do something with the creation and the main character, amano, likes a visual novel for this console in this anime universe, the pz4, not ps4. It's called golden memories and framed after the mc's crush.
