Never before has a anime made me genuinely dislike the main character, Kazuya is just the worst. The way he is portrayed is a pathetic horny no life. Now I know this was done intentionally but I took it in a whole different light. Throughout that season we see Him constantly doing stuff that just want makes you want to slap him awake, like “hey Kazuya what are you doing stop it it’s not healthy”. The thing that bugs me the most is the fact that he acknowledges that his actions are sad and pitiful but then makes no effort to change it. He ... makes no progression not learning from any of the cringe moments he makes us sit there and watch. For me Kazuya was the downfall of this show, I thought the art was nice and vibrant. Just looking into the eyes of Chizuru I’d be in awe of how pretty they looked along with every other girl. The sound was decent nothing that jumped out at me but I can’t say anything bad about it and the story itself was set up to be at least decent. But because of Kazuya I found myself having to push through watching some episodes and even had to take breaks that lasted a week or two to watch another episode. There were moments of humour but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to outweigh the awkward cringe that is Kazuya.
