Another failed anime with good potential. It's not terrible, but it was way too many points to be considered good to watch. I really wanted to like this show too because I thought episode 1 was interesting...

1. Ok, harem fantasy anime are cool, but why is the MC a kid? It's so weird and disgusting seeing or even thinking about it. Why do they have sexual or romantic scenes randomly with the kid and girls? idk. That's just wrong and gross.

2. Way too many inner monologues. It's fine in general, but not when they take up like 30% of the each episode. Like let me ... just see the show, not just hear the MC's thoughts the entire time. It's so distracting to the plot and unnecessary.

3. Characters are too dumb/generic. The design and concepts of each character are all good besides the harem and sexualizing stuff with a kid. BUT they have no personality besides their character persona. Nothing really makes them standout from other characters with the same personality cliches. Also all the characters have like sub 100 IQ. It gets annoying when they keep saying or do something absolutely stupid because it just keeps the plot going.

These 3 main issues that keeps happening each episode just makes the show unbearable. If they fixed these 3 issues. It would be a solid 7 or 8 for real. The overall plot and concept of a demon lord being reborn in a completely changed world is cool. Just sucks that this show was executed so poorly.

It's a pretty bad anime mainly because it's poorly written. The characters are so flat in personality, very common personalities with nothing unique about any of them. All the important characters instantly becomes friends after 1 episode. The main character Oliver is also pretty dumb for how smart he's portrayed at. For example, he would say something like "don't let your emotions control you" to one of his friends. Yet, the literally in the same episode do the very thing he said was dumb to do. It just gets annoying when nothing any of the characters do make any logical sense. The story following ... a very typical fantasy world also makes it not even worth watching. I tried guessing what would happen and would get it right very single time. Way too predictable and the show likes to make very bad guy be accepted as good because the MCs of the show are just too nice. It's a bit cringe and unrealistic in that sense, so it turned me off completely. I will say the animation is pretty decent though. I hoped there was something that makes this anime different, but sadly there is nothing at least in the first 4 episodes.

This is an anime that has the worst type of MC: a weak male crybaby who only thinks emotionally. He is the type of character that makes me question if anyone that annoying exists. He is completely not relatable and incredibly dumb because all his actions make little to no sense. He is basically Takemichi from Tokyo Revengers if his intelligence dropped by 100 IQ and if he was actually a kid mentally. He just does whatever he believes and it all works out because he has an OP girl who likes him.

What annoys me, even more, is how fast the characters just change ... and conform to the MC's beliefs almost instantly. No real character depth or development that is well-written. So, this somewhat interesting story with potential is thrown completely in the gutter with terrible story-telling and progression and the worst type of MC.

The animation style is also not my cup of tea, but that would be bearable if it was well-written and an actual good anime. It isn't terrible but it isn't good for a fighting style animation. It's like watching fighting scenes at 15 fps. So you can't even enjoy this terrible anime's fight scenes or anything. DO NOT WATCH UNLESS YOU WANT TO LOSE UR MIND WATCHING THIS MC DO/THINK THE DUMBEST THINGS.

I like the concept of this isekai. It's different from many generic isekais in two ways:
1. Doesn't have girl(s) who follow the MC because they like him
2. He doesn't follow the world plot, but rather makes his own story

I honestly like the all characters of the show except the MC himself. He's a little to immature and cowardly for my liking. Everyone else is likable to watch. I love the light-heartedness and art, especially in the food. Makes it look really good! Just a chill anime to watch when you want to relax. Nothing like some good food and a little bit of fighting! ... It gets a lot of stuff right which makes it a good anime in my eyes: Good animation, likable characters besides MC, decent plot/world-building, and unique. I'd definitely would recommend to any isekai enjoyers.

So, I saw this anime is airing and is on the second season. So, I spent a bit of time watching the first season so I can check it out since I love isekai animes. Here is my thoughts on this anime's second season

1. Animation improved significantly (looks better than a lot of these isekai anime that aren't high-budget ones)
This makes the show more enjoyable to watch than the first season. So if you like the first season then you'll like the second season as well if not more.

2. Still light-hearted anime. Scenes, where things could be serious, are made into funny/lighthearted moments. This can ... be good or bad depending on the person. Personally, I don't mind, but there are times when it tries to make it funny and it doesn't end up being funny or serious either. Most times, it works, but some may not like a show that doesn't take itself seriously. EDIT: Way too many jojo art references in this show. I said I didn't mind the light-heartedness, but I changed my mind after watching 6 more episodes because the characters still tries to take itself seriously even though the show doesn't. It doesn't really match well.

3. MC: guy feels unrelatable with the way he acts. No one in real life would act as he does, so I don't like it. He feels like a made-up character, which ruins the immersion. I find myself confused with his thinking and actions at times because of it. Since the show doesn't take itself seriously tho, this isn't a big deal. Just something to mention

Verdict: Decent anime, above average, but definitely not good or higher in my eyes. Watch it if you liked the first season, would not recommend it otherwise. The show does not really improve from the first season besides the animation. So, if you're hoping it would get better, it does not. EDIT: I actually think the show is WORSE than season 1. And I ended up dropping it

Overall a very average anime. There is nothing inherently bad about it. The animation is fine, the character designs are fine, and the story is fine as well. Everything is average. If you read the synopsis and think you'll like it, then you'll have a fine experience with the show. If you're not into the story, then I will be a "bad" anime in your eyes.

For me, I love fantasy animes and the idea of someone strong learning to live a normal life. I get curious about how they handle the story and characters. I will state that the show is very predictable. I ... was able to predict what would happen after watching a scene almost all the time. So, I think it's a cliche show with nothing new to offer. Again, this isn't a knock on the show, but it means that the show isn't good either. It is not one I can give above average because there isn't one aspect of the anime that I particularly liked more than other animes that follow this type of plot.

Would I recommend this show to anyone? Not really, but if you like these types of shows like me, give it a watch. Personally, I watch it at 1.5x speed to make it more bearable and to make the pacing better for me. I may drop it later down the line if it gets too repetitive.

I recommend it to anyone who watches isekais as a guilty pleasure. In my opinion, this show is basically "Banished From The Hero's Party, I Decided To Live A Quiet Life In The Countryside" (a show I dropped after 9 episodes since it was too cringe), but better. Both MCs got kicked out of the hero's party and does their own thing afterward. They both were actually OP/valuable, so the hero's party suffers for kicking/treating the MC as trash, which is well deserved. What makes it better? The plot seems more open to adventure than the other anime and it always shows glimpses of the ... hero's party and how they deal with losing a valuable teammate.

I don't mind OP MCs as long as the show is not trying to take itself too seriously, which the other show tried to. On the other hand, this show is just a light-hearted show about an MC who makes his own adventure, which is always fun to watch if done correctly. And the characters have just enough of a unique design to make them not too basic (although the cat girl is pretty basic looking lol). This show also nails the nice guy MC without it being cringe or unrealistic, which so many shows fail.

Overall, I don't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like generic isekais, cliches, and OP MCs. This will never be a top anime of a season show, but it's better than what I was expecting, which makes it pleasant to watch.

I mean it's about NINJAs so of course, I gave this show at least 3 episodes to get the feel and vibe. And, it is a little disappointing, to say the least. The show and plot have the potential to be a good anime. I would even give the animation a solid pass (no cgi and doesn't distract you from the show) even though it doesn't compare to the top-budget animes. The trailer was what introduced me to the anime.

The problems:
VERY GENERIC - no real interesting characters besides the Kousetsu who has a pretty sick design and a personality that matches the show. The ... rest of the characters have very non-dynamic personalities and designs for the most part. Especially the MC, which I find to be the biggest turn-off to a show. He was a very common unrealistically nice and innocent personality. I can't stand it because well it doesn't feel real and earnest. And, he had the most basic design as well. And the rest of the characters aren't any better or unique. So I don't feel any real connections with any of the characters

PLOT - Had the potential to see how ninjas live in the modern age and show some plot between clans. Instead, it turned into a mecha suit for people who just fight because why the hell not? You can replace the word ninja with fighters and the show would not be any different. Nothing to do with stealth, missions, techniques, or any of that sort. The only stealth or disguise are ninjas pretending to have other jobs.

IDK, I just feel like this was not well-written and too basic. Like I could have made a better story with just the common knowledge of ninjas as a middle schooler. Nothing of the show screams ninja. Wish they put more thought into the show and had better characters for a show that could have been a unique anime for the season...

HOT TAKE: This anime has a scoring average on MAL of 7 because of the animation only. I felt so empty watching this anime every time. At first, I wanted to watch it because I give most animes a chance. And, I was very impressed with the first episode because of the beautiful animation and potential. However, I was left uninterested by the 4th episode. I felt no connection to the characters of the show or thought any of them were interesting. And, found myself watching the anime solely because of the animation.

The Problems:
- Uninteresting characters (a lot of them)
- the story is very boring ... where in each episode the MC fights an enemy and then the MC has a few interactions with the main two girls and a few side characters.

I felt like nothing really happened besides one thing (MC's sacrifice for his goal, which I won't spoil) and that's about it. No real main villains or arcs, just a repeat of the same story. I always end up dropping one or two animes each season and this might be the one. I won't recommend it unless you like these generic fighting animes with a splash of romance.

Very common isekai story of a guy who gets to live in a world of magic and stuff. But it's an adventure and his future (harem he builds I think) with some minor side plot happening during the adventure. I always like isekai animes because they have the most potential in my opinion. So I usually give most a shot and give them a 4-6 unless they are just extremely bad or amazing.

This is a 6 in that it is your average isekai, but very slightly on the better side of average. No cringe MC, nothing serious (don't get invested in the show), and decent ... animations. No real cons besides not being good, which makes it an average anime. I will tell you that there is a lot of ecchi (aka sexual scenes) in the 4th episode and probably onwards. Personally, I don't mind them, but it definitely takes away from the adventure. The animation and character designs are all slightly better than average, but like the show, nothing really puts it as a top-tier anime (usual scores from 7-10).

I had to write a review after the 4TH EPISODE because it good is a huge turn-off or a huge turn-on for some. It's borderline hentai without showing the genitals, but with a better story than hentai that usually gets one or two episodes. Take what you will.
