A fun sexy adventure of Cutie Honey with more insanity, more tight story, and a open ended ending as far as the relationship between Honey and the female detective. Sexy over the top action that is similar to Kill La Kill and Panty and Stocking and influence those shows. Is an anime made by Gainax and it shows.
Story: The story is mainly Honey fighting the Black Panther with the female detective trying to capture Honey as they form a "friendy" relationship. The shoujo AI is in the tag and is open ended enough to satisfy people who want some yuri. While
...
the main plot is nothing special, it manage to be wild fun and have enough content to keep the audience engage.
ART: The animation is really fun and vibrant, colorful with the new op being great while still having the classic catchy cutie honey song. The last episode was definitely the best animated.
Sound:Is overall fun and reflect the anime with the original op song coming back as catchy as ever.
Character:Honey while still being her sexy fun self that fight justice, is a bit more vulnerable and have self doubt. Her character development is decent. The side character are just as fun with the journalist being a fun shady sidekick and the female detective being a one man army. Think every 80's action start fit into one woman, and that what you get, a total badass that happen to be stuck up at times, but also a good friend to Honey. Also love their relationship and yes they would make a cute couple. The characters are fun, and the main villain is decent with some great designs.
Overall is a fun sexy reboot to a classic franchise. Maybe is a bit too different in some area than the original, but that what you want with a reboot, something different, but similar enough. Watch it for yourself and enjoy Cute Honey adventure.

Shin Cutey Honey follows Honey adventure as she has to face a new enemy. I will not be comparing this to the other Honey series as I only watch Re Cutie Honey and choose this since the art has age well. So on to the review.
Story:Cutie honey fights bad guy until she fights the last boss with the show having a real ending at the 4th episode and the rest feeling like bonus episode or they were not able to put more episode. There no real depth and is just good vs evil with some fun moments, gag and great one liners. This would
...
not be bad as the lead Honey is basically fun super hero who fights for justice, but one side character really did not belong there and drag the story a bit, and I go more into that later. Is just some fun good vs evil and not much else.
Art: The animation has that 80's style art that I love while also moving nicely. The classic Cutie honey have not age well as far as animation, this however did with some of the bad guy looking really great. While the action is nothing spectacular, it still manage to be entertaining.
Sound:It has the classic op in Japanese and English, so yay. Otherwise the soundtrack and the ending is nothing special.
Character: As I said Honey, the lead character is fun, sexy with great one liners and is a fighter for justice. She is basically flawless and is fun seeing her fight bad guys, exposing her breast, make jokes and change clothes. That being said the side character who is a kid felt pointless. He was only there for other characters to explain about Honey and to be a damsel in distress, but as a boy. Than they add a other useless character in episode 5 that probably was plan to be a love interest for the boy. This really hinder what could have been a much more fun show as any scene with the kid I did not care for or cringe at the force drama. That being said the rest of the side character consist of the mom and dad of the kid who are really fun, since they are criminals. Than there a old perverted cyborg guy who shots lots of explosion, so not much I can complain about that.
Overall:Is a fun superhero female who get naked alot fight the forces of evil, but is nothing special aside for the fact that Cutie Honey have influence lots of shows. Is worth watching for Cutie Honey fans, but aside from that there are better shows. I personally prefer Re:cutie Honey.

Valkyrie Drive is the fan service show I always wanted. An all girl cast who are all lesbian, fighting each other and ripping each other clothes and having sex. This is too good to be true. That being said is it smart, HELL NO! Is it dumb fun at least, HELL YES………...Okay more like sort of, except the last episode which was AWESOME. Let get to the review.
Plot: The basic plot is the fact they exist a diseased call arm, with a liberator and extar, where the liberator can turn their partner extar into a weapon by basically making them orgasm and only girls get
...
the disease. When discovered with the diseases the girls are sent to an isolated island, in hope that they can adjust back to society.
So, as you can see this is going to be a heavy yuri fanservice with no guys, except this girl calling himself a guy for some reason. Trust me that not a spoiler, is super obvious. The anime can be divided into three parts. The first four episode just focuses on the two main character fighting the school. At first, is entertaining because how over the top the fan service is. That being said it quickly becomes less and less interesting. In something like Keijo where it has over the top ridiculous fan service, the show keeps managing to make it more and more ridiculous, keeping the show entertaining. In Valkyrie Drive, however, it plays all its card in the first two episode, and the gimmick of lesbians turning into weapon wear off. It never managed to keep itself from feeling fresh and new, and taking it seriously does not do the anime any favor. Luckily after the first four episode, the anime decides to have fun with some fluff episode. While nothing amazing, it at least is entertaining. That being said again, the fanservice just feel tame, which makes the comedy even tamer. There never a clear direction where the show is going, and just feel like a mess. Is starting to feel like just an excuse to have an all lesbian island. Which in that case I rather just have it be a hentai. Luckily the 8 episode and forward does have a plot and does have more weight to the story. The main characters get more flesh out, and we get an over the top villain, who is frankly amazing. It starts to have better action, and an actual direction and plot. That being said is it enough to save what was a rather forgettable fan service show despite having an all lesbian cast? The answer lies in the last episode, which loudly screams yes. The last episode managed to be the over the top fun I was looking for with all their animation effort clearly put in that one episode. It had great design, nice animation, a great villain and just a good episode.
The plot is not the best. The plot could have used the disease as a form of discrimination like Cross Ange, or be over the dumb fun like Keijo. The anime, however, is not clever, and it gets pretty tame quickly. That being is still a show about an all lesbian island, with some really good and even awesome scene. It does deliver the fan service, and the last four episode does get interesting enough to have the audience invested. That being said the majority felt directionless.
Characters: Most fan service show have a mediocre plot, but the characters are usually the saving grace. The two main lead consist of Mirei and Mamori. Mirei is an awesome character. She starts out not speaking almost the entire first episode, and just come off as a total bad ass. She gets jealous easy when it comes to Mirei, which makes for some fun interaction. Her backstory is decent and overall does what she supposed to do. Mamori at first can be annoying. She is basically the oblivious, optimistic airhead. Is fun to see her interaction with other people getting an orgasm in front of her, but it gets tiring fast. Luckily she does learn to accept it, to help other, but that where my problems lied. I wish her relationship with Mirei felt more romantic. I would have liked it if they went with the cliche, am I lesbian, and do I have a feeling for her. At first is clear that she has a problem with being touched, not only because she being sexually harassed, but because they are both girls. I wish there was a better development of her character. There so many ways you can approach with lesbian, and it never takes advantage of it aside for fan service.
As for the side character, they are fine. They managed to be fun, and don’t really need to be that developed. Lady Lady is also a cool character that managed to have a presence to her that I enjoy. Charlotte was a horrible villain, to be honest, and was unmemorable, but the real villain was great. Not going to spoil her, but she is basically Lady Ragyo from Kill la Kill if she had a smaller body, and more “touching”. She was just over the top fun evil.
Art: Passable. I mean there lots of great fan service that is just hentai, to be honest. I mean the only difference is that hentai scene is longer, but have censored vagina, while this anime never shows it.
The fighting scenes are decent, but sometimes are way too short. They never really felt any impact or danger until episode 8. Episode 12 as I mention was amazing, as the animation was on point, with the design, choreography, everything. So prop to the last episode.
Music: Is actually really good. The intro and ending are great to listen to. The intro has an awesome electric guitar, while the ending song is super catchy. My only complaint is that they could have to use the intro song more in the fights. They only used the song overdrive in a fight once. The score in the anime is decent overall.
Overall: There better ecchi action anime out there. Is it terrible, not really, but I can see people not liking it. Is not a must for yuri fans, and not a must for ecchi fans, but is a must if you are both because there are not many like this. That being said this was just dumb fun, that is really only memorable because of the last episode, and having an all lesbian cast.

Yuri lover (and people who actually use the word shoujo ai) must watch this. Is a must watch and is in every yuri bible book. This is the holy grail of yuri. A show that has the first episode with two girls kissing. Yep, that's right, no final episode for that final kiss is there from the get go. This is Sakura Trick
So story wise, it can be sum up by the op, two girls kissing. Yeah at first glance there not much to this. It just follows two friends who start kissing each other and are perfect for each other. Their biggest problem is
...
that they are both air heads who are embarrassed by their love to each other. Is honestly quite cute and adorable and just fill my heart with way too much sugar that I can't believe my heart did not explode from watching this show twice. That being said there much more subverting going on here. For one the two girls kissing each other in the first episode instead of having it build up. Second is the fact that they are both airheads, which is something new and makes for a lot of good comedy. The third is that the show seems to have lots of couple in this story in different phases. With one starting to date, the other already dating, one character discovering her sexuality and an other two friend potentially blooming. In many ways, the girl discovering her sexuality is your typical yuri main character being somewhat the side character which was neat. That being said only the two main lead and her sister get the main focus which is a disappointment as it would have been great to see more from the other characters stories. While I do like the main couple Haruka and Yuu (my favorite couple in fiction), they could have had one less episode dedicated to them. That being said episode 8 was truly heartwarming.
Also to note the romance and the comedy is done great, but yeah there could have been more done with the message. The fact that the main focus is two person being embarrassed by their feeling might put off people who don't want just fluff. Which while I don't blame those people, the chemistry is just so strong and the drama with the sister is very interesting.
Art and sound: The animation is great, is Sentai who usually do a competent job. Nothing amazing, but good enough to accommodate the jokes and help the heartwarming moment.
Characters: Yuu and Haruka are amazing. My favorite couple ever. Never seen two airheads dating each other that much and this just work wonderful with Yuu being the childish brat idiot, while Haruka is the overjealous idiot. Is surprisingly work. Granted if you don't like their character you are somewhat out of luck as aside from Yuu sister, the other character have way less screen time. That not to say the other characters don't get screen time, but they could have definitely had more screen time. They are still a bunch of fun and add to the comedy and serve somewhat a reflection on Yuu and Haruka relationship, but I wish they could have been focus more. I mean Kotone and Shizuka relationship is your typical rich girl and best friend scenario with all the cliche minus the tsundere surprisingly enough. That being said they definitely had more substance and drama in their relationship that could have been worth looking into more. That being said they are still great when they are on screen just like the rest. When my biggest complaint with characters is I get to see less from other characters while still loving the main lead that get too much screen time, you must be doing something right.
So overall this messy reviewer will said that Sakura Trick is definitely a must watch Yuri (shoujo ai whatever) anime.

Yuri kuma Arashi is a weird anime that honestly is hard to get into due to how weird it is. I mean I did drop this when it came out because it was just too much. I mean a meteor fell and now Bear eat humans and are intelligent and now are separated by wall, like WHAT. That being said underneath the silliness are some powerful commentary on LGBT and honestly any hate group. Plus on the surface it has some of the most creative visual and amazing score. Visually and score wise this is a masterpiece. I said the best comparison is Utena
...
the movie and the show, if it was crammed into 12 episode and was more focused on yuri, and had bears. So let's get to the review
Story: As I said in the intro the story is hard to get into at first. I mean again is about humans being separated by intelligent man eating bears. That being said that is not the main focus, and more focus about Tsubaki as she does suffer a tragedy and is now trying to confront that both physically with the bear and herself. As the episode continues new things will emerge that will make her questioned herself and who are the actual people she should trust. The message about love and how society acts towards outcast. It shows the hatred of people who shunned those who are different, but also show how those victims, those outcast will always fight back because of love. Both sides will always have the motivation to keep on fighting, and the message is honestly really moving. That being said, the silliness does distract it a lot. I mean symbolism is great and everything, but from a logical point something doesn't add up, and the tone does change quite often which can be distracting. Not to mention there is a nice couple that is unfortunately taken away too soon, and I wanted to see them together more. While that couple is focused on flashback, I wish I could see more to feel the weight of that lost. Not to mention I just felt that couple seem to make more sense logically than the actual couple which again serves more for symbolism than logic.
So to summarize the story does deliver some strong message, but their shift in tone, some of it is silly and questionable. That being said I probably like the story more if I rewatched it since there just so much to dissect from the show.
Character: The characters are decent. I mean Tsubaki journey is great. Her wanting revenge on the bear makes sense and is easy to root for her. I just wish they made the weight of her wanting revenge much stronger. The real star is the two bears, Ginko and Lulu who are just so much fun. While it's hard to support them at first, their motivation is clear up as the story go on, and they do a great job at making the audience support them. They have all the best laugh and moments. As for the rest, they all okay and serve their message and symbolism and stuff I guess. None of them were truly terrible or annoying.
So basically, Ginko and Lulu are the stars of the show. Tsubaki is an okay main character, along with the other character that served their roles.
Sound and Art: Amazing. I mean I am listening to the soundtrack while doing this review and I can tell you is just excellent. Does a great job at accompanying the mood, and making this world feel much more vast and add so much to the anime. The art style also amazing, is like a picture book come to life. So many great memorable visuals. Just amazing, I can’t do it justice, is simply breathtaking. As I said is very much like Utena, more specifically the movie where the world seems dream like it almost seem real, but there always something strange and surreal to it. I was able to stand the madness of this anime, just because of how great it looked and just how much impact the music added to it.
Basically the art and sound are amazing.
Overall, I said if you are a Yuri fan, go watch this. While it might be nonsensical, the animation, the score, and the message do make it worth it. While yes the message and symbolism sometimes do come first before logic, the characters are good enough to make the audience want to keep going and find out what's happening. This anime is just a wonderful picture book come to life.

If you are a huge fan of SAO you will enjoy this movie and you will enjoy even more if you were rooting for Asuna and Kirito relationship.
Story: The anime is of course about augment reality which is similar to pokemon go except a 100x better but also feel similar to the pokemon go phase making easily relatable. The anime has always been good with their concept (aside from the stupid second fairy arc) and how technology can interact with reality and how it can be beneficial and harmful. The arc play similar to the bullet phantom arc, with a bunch of accident happening while
...
Kirito is investigating, except focusing more on Asuna and Kirito. I said I overall enjoy the phantom arc more than this movie, as it did not took full advantage of the topic at hand which could have been used to developed Kirito character. If it wasn't for the fact that there were real stakes in the movie, the plot could have easily turn out for the worst. Thankfully they were tension in this movie and you were able to relate to the character and root for Kirito even if he being op edge lord Jesus XD. A thing to note is that this feel more like a sequel to the SAO incident and again does focus on Asuna and Kirito relationship. I mean if you love their relationship, this movie will leave you happy.
Art: The animation for SAO was always great which many cannot deny, and with a movie budget it look just as great. It had lot of awesome boss fights, with the climax fight being SAO best-animated fight with lots of fan service which does not only include bouncy breast XD (although disappointed there was no ass shot of Sinon).
Sound: Well the anime decided that hey you know what is missing, IDOL and VOCALOID. While the song was great fitting the sense of an rpg game in the best way, they were not as great as the other ost for SAO, but still great overall.
Character: Asua was fantastic in this movie. Her character as progress from the Rosario Mother arc (aka my fav arc in the series), and probably had the most character development in the movie as see as to overcome an obstacle caused by the AR technology. If the movie would have focused more on her and a bit less on Kirito this movie could have been better. Is easy to cheer her on in this movie as she had her waifu mode on point while also being strong and acting like a leader.
Speaking of Kirito, he was also the focus in the movie. While her relationship with Asuna was done great, I can't help that they could have done more with his character instead of being the hero, as he was having a problem with AR vs VR, which could have gone in an interesting direction, but they solve with just some practice and go all try hard mode. Luckily the plot does make it easy to root for him, so he does not come off as OP jesus kun aside from the end, but it was badass so I don't care. I personally had more fun with him in the bullet phantom arc, I feel like he work better with him not being the focus and having to deal with something he not used to. Granted I also love him in the first arc because this was a guy that was trying to stay strong by not relying on other and had much more of a conflict. if they either had him appear a bit less and focus more on Asuna, or had him actually have him struggle more with Ar, I think he could have been better. Overall he was decent in the movie.
The side character was fantastic overall in this movie, unlike season two the minor trash waifu character (minus Sinon who is best girl) are not annoying and play their role relatively well. Klen and Aigo do get more screen time and are also fun in moderation. Also sinon is here in small doses and is great bc she is obviously best girl.
The villain. Easily the best villain in the SAO franchise for me was the Mom in Mother Rosario arc. Sure she was not a straight up villain and more of an obstacle that Asuna have to overcome, oh wait that similar to a villain except that you can understand her reasoning while also wanting Asuna to come to an understanding with her. With SAO villain in general while the concept for them are great (except for the trash villain in the fairy dance arc), in the end, they are just crazy unstable people. In here the villain are relatable and the concept of it is interesting, but they are not as cool as Death Gun or Akibayashi. Not to mention they could have been flesh out more. Can't help but feel they would have been better if this was a tv show instead of a movie, but I guess they would not have the awesome final climax fight.
Enjoyment: I saw this in a theater fill with a crowd who were having ton of fun with this movie, so yeah alot of fun. Especially the voice actor of Kirito who managed to make the crowd of people hype as hell.
Overall: You got a movie that could easily be left as the ending of the franchise (but stay at the end credit and you know that isn't it). It is what I call a movie for the fan. Yes it has some flaw, but to be fair most people know that just ask anybody who hate the franchise XD, but if you love the series this movie will be great as they do have alot of the character in the past, focus more on Asuna and Kirito relationship, how new technology can interact with the world, great action, music, animation, etc it has everything people like about the franchise.
