So boy meets girl, they hate each other but are somehow forced to be together for utterly unrealistic circumstances. To top it off after this event, several girls just "happened" to appear and fall in love with our main character which is supposed to be a super dense and ordinary high school student. The anime is about the daily crazy things that happen around these characters and how their relations develop.
I probably just described a ton of anime. There is simply nothing new that this anime has to offer. the Harem formula has been completely exploited over the past years and yet this series manages
...
to stand out over the others. Nisekoi its a great example of why something being overdone doesn't mean its bad as long as you do it right.
The story is basically set up to force our characters to be together but they managed to do it in a very comical way. The characters are the usual archetypes but they are all very enjoyable and very easy to relate to. I specially enjoyed that there is a fair amount of exposure even for "secondary heroins" (The manga is still ongoing so who knows).
The scenarios are and settings are crazy enough to be very entertaining but not so much that it becomes ridiculous or forced. Yeah, it might be super predictable after a bit and some situations are SUPER improbable but who cares if its not that realistic? this show acknowledges that and manages to laugh at itself.
Technically speaking there is not much to say. The art is great, it's pretty and comical which matches the atmosphere of the series remarkably good. Same goes with the soundtrack, it might not be the best and memorable one but it matches the atmosphere very well.
I really enjoyed this series. If you are something light, something where you don't need to think but just accept everything and laugh then I recommend this a lot. It might be a romcom harem but its very well executed with all the strong points that made this such a popular genre these days.

No game no life is an anime with an interesting premise with the potential to develop a very interesting story. The series is based on using strategy, tricks, gimmicks to win different games and the enjoyment focuses on the badassery of our main characters for finding interesting solutions to the problems with the addition of comedy which is mostly ecchi and gags based on the lack of social skills of our characters. So to keep this brief let's make a list:
Why should you watch this?
- "Conquering the world" is a huge scope which makes for a more "epic" environment.
- Characters uses intelligence instead of brute
...
force
- The main characters start strong which makes for badass moments.
- GREAT visuals. specially if you like colors.
- There is plenty of comedy to have a change of mood.
- The pacing is acceptable they didn't rush it which is something i appreciate in short series like these.
Why should you NOT watch this?
- There might be waay too much ecchi and I don't appreciate a series relying only on this for its comedy.
- Very little character development.
- Kind of too short. they would have given a better idea of how the series plays off with 2x episodes.
-Sometimes its hard to follow. the plans and tricks might become too outrageous.
I hope that gives a better idea of whether you should watch this or not. I personally enjoyed it a lot specially given the competition it had during its season (this ranks among my favorites of its season but the season itself was just ok).
Thanks for reading!

Usually I do reviews following more technical matters but in the case of Little Busters!: Refrain I feel it's more important to talk about it's impact and it makes you feel. All in all Refrain is a great sequel that tied all the unknowns of its prequel in an outstanding way. However just like its prequel, the concept is splendid but suffers from some execution mistakes. There are behaviors you can't understand and things that seem to short due to lack of depth in the arcs. However all of this is forgivable if you consider the way it strikes your senses. With its more
...
serious vibe, Refrain is a powerful tearjerker.
Now let me tell you the feelings this series provoked on me.
To me little busters is about friendship something that we seriously lack in Anime. Friendship is always a side to romance, girls always fight for a guy and guys can never have 'bromance' without it being depicted in a humorous ways. Little Busters! breaks all of those being about just a group of friends spending their days having fun and solving their problems to become stronger. Due to this, all characters grow together and so do you. It's truly refreshing to see a series like this which comedy doesn't rely on outrageous situations or sex appeal (in most cases) but to the crazy interactions between characters. I guess it kind of remind me of my school days, when i also used to do idiotic things and care way too much about transient matters. I relate to their group and recall the days that i used to be like that. What and idiot i was but what a fun i had!
And then through unexpected twists the series gets serious. I don't want to spoil anything but seeing this group of characters go through hard situations you can't help but to relate and feel sad. It made me want to just call my friends and tell them i miss them.
To me Little Busters! is a reminder of our youth, how great it is and how short and fragile it can be.

As a disclaimer i have played some of the VN although i'm reviewing this based on the anime itself taking into consideration the existence of a sequel.
Little Busters! is a very special anime one that could have been a master piece but unfortunately was not executed perfectly in my opinion. Still the efforts show a solid show at the end which makes for a great show following similar vibes to other Key series with a twist.
The beauty of Little Busters! lies in the fact that is fundamentally different than other anime out there. While other shows rely on complex character relations for romance and ecchi
...
for comedy, Little Busters! relies on character development and a scent of nostalgia for our childhood days. (There is still ecchi but definitely less than anything out there nowadays)
For me, Little Busters! strikes right in my teen days. Days with not much responsibility other than studying. I deeply cherish those days of careless and idiotic fun and Little Busters! bright them back alive. It's innocent and naive; it might have some execution mistakes but you can't help but to fall for it's charm. I guess it's like watching little kids, they might be clumsy and sometimes you might not understand them but at the end it's a lot of fun and you can't help but to relate to them.
The most serious parts comes in the sequel which i'm also going to review but this part does feature around 4 arcs which would last about 3 episodes each and will have a good degree of impact and will serve to increase curiosity in the more important arcs on the sequel. (don't expect things to make sense here the sequel will tie everything up).
On a more technical side Little Busters! tries to be too much like a visual novel in some parts and not enough in some. adapting all the arcs in one timeline makes for a rushed sensation whereas some of the clear VN elements don't need to be there. the Art needs a little bit to get used to since it's different from other Key series (this was not made by KyoAni) and the ost although great to set up the mood can be repetitive.
Overall I still greatly recommend this series is a refreshing series that focuses on friendship and really brings the characters together and develops them. I enjoyed this a lot and wish that times like those could really last forever.
Thanks for reading! :)

So fairy tail's anime has come to a sudden end and thus i find myself with the urge to give out my thoughts on this series. i hope you enjoy it! and i hope you understand that my English is not the best and what i'm saying is merely an educated opinion ^^ also all of my review should be spoiler free.
Story: 6/10
The story is driven by arcs and its structured so each of them features a big boss. the reasons i gave a 6 are: weak development and consistency.
weak development comes into play when i think back to when i started the series.
...
175 episodes have passed and if you look back to the start how much has the character changed? what about what events have changed drastically the plot? for a 175 episodes, not enough in my opinion.
consistency comes into play when i think about all the things they make up. some spells look so overpowered and end up being weak later on. (rune magic for example) there are many spells that feel that they are just there because the author wanted to create this type of scenario rather than being consistent.
Art: 9/10
No complains here but still not my favorite. The animation is well done and the art has a good style to it.
Sound: 10/10
One of the best soundtracks i have heard in a while. they are many memorable songs and they really give an awesome mood to the show. definitely one of the reasons that made me stick to the show.
Character: 7/10
characters are fine. they is little development in the 175 episodes that i have watched as i said before. however this is not a big deal. my biggest complain about character is that they are over ridiculed. by this i mean they tend to exaggerate certain ridicule characteristics like Natsu's inability to ride vehicles or gray stripping (and everybody overreacting to it). i mean they are fun and all it just that sometimes it is too extreme.
Enjoyment: 8/10
my main problem is that often a very serious and epic mood is broken by a bad placed joke (the scene cut animation also help in this). don't get me wrong i really enjoy comedy i just think that placing comedy in the middle of the climax is really mood breaking. other than that the series was pretty enjoyable. i have to admit that i watched some of it fast forwarding some parts because of redundancy but that was ok.
overall: 7/10
A series that you can enjoy but not a masterpiece at all or something i will put in my favorite list.

I will refer to this anime as Anohana because the other names is too long.
This is one of those animes that hit me at the exact moment. i just graduated from school and went to a foreign country to study college. i missed my childhood friends and this is just what the anime talks about.
Its really sad when you lost your bonds with those who you loved soo much. in tha case of this anime this was caused by the dead of one of the group.
so this anime is great if you can understand the characters which is fairly easy. can you imagine loosing your
...
best friend? yeah, it must really hurt. each one of the group went through their own way to run from this fact. 10 years latter the dead friends appears again. why? that's what the anime is about so find it out ;) but this phenomena brings the group back again what have changed after 10 years? things are not like it used to be. they are not childs playing anymore....
The STORY is really good and caught me off guard as i told you before. however i do feel there are some plot holes or just things without sense but you they are very few.
ART is great i don't have a single complain. characters are not beautiful but well thats the world right?
SOUND is AMAZING the ending specifically is one of those songs that makes you buy the whole ost.
CHARACTERS have a great development although i think they didn't behave that "naturally" anyways you can pretty much identify yourself with some of their characteristics.
I really ENJOYed the series. the story is cute and has a lot of feeling in it i can recommend it for anyone who likes this kind of story (shoujo-ish)
OVERALL outstanding anime from spring 2011!

C... first of all.... hate the name. you get a 1206500 results if you search "C" and the long name is hard to understand because you have a short one. -.-
Now C is WEIRD. i mean throw in some pokemon/digimon add economy 101 words and concepts and finish it up with a touch of charly and the chocolate factory. yep, it's hard to imagine isn't it?
Story: 8/10
So the basic thing is there is other real where you can fight with your "future" to get money (yei!), devil money (awww).
The story although it's weird its very original and it managed to catch my eyes. it
...
deals with some philosophical issues obviously about money and if its better to keep the present or the future (ala code geass?)
However a story that deals with this needs way more development. the anime is too short to solve all the questions and too litle focus is given to the philosophical aspect of this.
Art: 7/10
The art is also weird. like i said before the concept art kind of remind me Charley and the chocolate factory (without the childish part): Randomness. the altarnate world is full of colors floating things and monsters which i guess it was unnecessary... however the animation was pretty good so still the art is not an excuse not to watch this.
Sound: 7/10
Well nothing good nothing bad. you know everything is fine here but nothing astonishing.
characters: 7/10
So there is mild development but as i said in story part: there are to much unsolved questions. i feel that maybe 2 characters had a good development the rest of them finished without an explication of why they did that or what are they.
enjoyment: 8/10
quiet enjoyed the series. even though its weird, its original i just feel they could have done a better job. some parts are kind of depressing though :/
overall: 7/10
Good. not good enough but still, digestible. Go ahead if you like mild darkish shonen anime.

Have you ever wonder whats the road to take in order to be a mangaka? are you prepared to see your dreams of becoming a mangaka with the single master piece that you in your mind? well this doesnt have to do with the anime itself but might happen as a secondary effect.
now on topic, bakuman... what a unique piece. i found myself trapped by it even though it doesnt particularly excells at anything.
Story: 9/10
As you may expect from slice of life, its pretty simple. however its pretty unique, i mean manga about manga? (since this anime came from a manga). the main topics are
...
romance and the pursuit of ones dreams. this may seem pretty cliche but the way the present this is pretty original and also pretty realistic.
Art: 7/10
I like most of it. but i dont know you but im fan of big eyes. i mean i think is one of those elements which characterize anime. dont take it the wrong way i have seen little eyes work i just feel that the girls would look better with bigger eyes (guys look ok). other aspects of the animation and art are ok but nothing outstanding.
sound: 7/10
There were one or two songs i really didnt like. the other ones were just ok there is no song that made me want to buy the ost. also there are moments where i feel they try to listen to a full song with no reason which made up for some boring moments maybe this would be more on enjoyment aspect but i will include it here.
characters: 9/10
great. not a masterpiece but great. the love between the main characters is pretty cute and original. their feelings are inspiring and each character is well designed. you get to undesrtand them pretty easily and its fun to watch them interact. also main characters are nothing special (for now) so anime is pretty realistic except for one side character you wont see out of ordinary skills
enjoyment: 8/10
the originality of this anime made it pretty enjoyable. i found myself sticked to it even though it doesnt really excel at comedy, epicntheess or romance. but i think that the acumulation of "good" on each category is what made it so enjoyable.
overall: 8/10
Recomended if you are looking for something light.

Ok, first of all i didnt get to watch all episodes. the reason im still writting this review is because this is aimed to give a warning to the people planning to watch this show and the fact is that its boring. (reasons below)
anyways im not leaded by subjectivity and this review is done in the most objective way possible.
Now that i said this lets begin with the review.
first of all, katanagatari is a show that really attracted me. i mean i looks good, has acceptable number of episodes and the story has potential to good comedy and action. i feel this is the reason
...
why its so overated as you see most of the reviews here have really good scores. my theory is that those are made because people start this show with the illusion its good and keep believing in it cause its potential. however im not.
Now, strong points:
-The art and animations are beautifull, you get attracted to it when you see it and its very easy to get use too for being that unique.
-formula that cant fail: action+comedy+romance usually is the way to go if you want target general public.
-story seems very good. its simple but that simplicity manage to tell you what to expect.
-The actions scenes are great. the fights are dinamic and with cool techniques
Now the flaws:
-Senseless dialogs. huuuge flaw i mean, i feel they went for 45minutes episodes because they wanted to speak more. i mean it could easily be a 21minute episode if you were to erase that. and its not comedy, they try to explain every little thing they do even its too obvious. it really annoys you if 90% of the episode is talking.
-Short action. for a 45min episode i would expect a good amount of action. however not only the action scenes are very short they are caught between senseless dialogs.
-Bad comedy. really a lot of jokes are just not funny. however they manage to pull out some good ones but screw them out. how would you say? well they take a good joke and talk about it for 10 minutes when the joke just isnt funny anymore.
-having a narrator is annoying to much to explain here.
-Lack of characters. i mean besides the two main characters and maybe one more there are no other characters that you would expect to see in other episodes which makes each episode less related to the previous one.
-the first fight i was really looking for wasnt shown. really maybe a good prank for your cousin but its lame when you expect a good fight and end up with a dialog of how good the fight WAS.
There may be more to these lists but i state again i HAVENT seen all episodes but i have to say if the first 5 episodes didnt attract someone (half the series) the other half is wasted cause everyone will drop the series before it. so maybe all thsi flaws are repaired in the next half i dont know but if you want to risk and go for 5 boring episodes go ahead.

Cuteeeeeeeeeeee series as you may infer, no doubt of that. however i'm gonna try to do a more objective review putting aside the sweetness of yuzuyu (even though its really hard *__*)
First of all, i enjoyed the show its pretty low paced and cute. there is some drama but nothing in comparison to other series. you dont feel the urge to marathon the series but still you want to keep watching. overall good serie to bring up little smiles.
story: 8/10
good enough score for a slice of life anime. the story is just the life of this little kid and a teenager. also the anime doesn't
...
completely end so be prepared to end up with some unresolved questions.
Beware that the synopsis may be misleading. "Katakura Kippei is in every way a high school playboy. Spending his days flirting with any female he can see, responsibility is the last thing on his mind." you would expect a troubled teenager that doesnt want to take care of the kid and up doing everything wrong. this in the most part is totally false. kippei shows he is a good boy from start to end.
art: 8/10
little bit outdated. sometimes i felt that the head of yuzuyu was way to big even though that was the intention. it's matter of getting use to it.
sound: 7/10
weak. the show has a good soundtrack that somehow matches the enviroment. however its the lack of variety that i didnt like. there is just one op and ed for 26 episodes not even the sound between comercials was changed. so at the end i kind of got bored of the same tracks (background music is also very repetitive).
character: 9/10
good characters. As i said before kippei is described wrongly in the synopsis he is just the incarnation of a good guy. yuzuyu in the other hand, is a normal 5 year old kid.... without everything bad that a 5 year old kid has. i mean everything she does/say is sooooooooo cuteeeeeeeeee is hard to believe that a child like that exist.
with this said. characters in this anime tend to be to idealistic or to exaggerated. they are too quite, too aggressive, to cute, too nice..etc so its pretty unrealistic.
enjoyment: 9/10
This series is like looking at cute cat videos you enjoy it even if they are doing uninteresting things. people who doesnt like cuteness stay away!
overall: 8/10
Good, not epic. there are no remarkable moments of tears, fights, anger, romance but its overall good...
