I read All You Need Is Kill. I think this is a great story with tremendous action and incredible artwork, some parts of it do kinda rub off as edgy, but it never seems to mistake being dark for being mature, it walks a good line. I'm a bit conflicted on the ending I have to admit, I like it, the bitter-sweet tone of only one of them being able to make it out, of protecting a world with your reason to protect it no longer in it. It hits hard especially given how much more chemistry these characters have than in the movie adaptation,
...
I really wanted this story to have that ending the movie did, the idealic ending where Keiji and Rita get the tomorrow they fought so hard for. I don't mind a bitter-sweet ending, but it wasn't what I was primed for.
This version of the story also just has the better supporting cast, it uses the fact that it's short to spend time on four supporting characters, they're not fleshed out, but they work and are more memorable than the supporting cast of the film.
By far the standout scene of the manga was where Rita learns that Keiji has been going through the loops as well, the fact that she gets overwhelmed and bursts into tears because finally she isn't alone, there's finally someone who gets what she's been through because he's going through it, it worked for me.
Its a great story, but man, I really wanted those crazy kids to make it.

I love this show, the music, the animation, its stunningly beautiful. The character designs are all great and so is the world that they inhabit, the writing for those characters are good as well. It's a bittersweet story though, with an ending I'm not likely to forget for awhile. I think the themes it wants to talk about are handled well for the most part, maybe a few slip ups here and there, but I think it presents them in the way they wanted to come across. All the characters resigning themselves to this life because its what the people want or there's nothing they
...
can do to change it, I'm happy that's not the tone the show as a whole takes. You can change things, there is a point in trying even if it doesn't seem like it, death is scary and yet its also a part of life, something you must come to terms with at some point. Its hard to collect my thoughts on the themes, I'm not great at vocalising them, but I can say that they're good and the way they're presented has touched me in a way.

When I started watching this show at a friends place because we had nothing better to do, I didn't expect to like it all that much if at all. Now a week later I can say that this show has become one of my all-time favourites.
Now I'll be the first to admit that this show does heavily follow cliches of it's genre, but really thats not an entirely bad thing as it does those cliches very well. From the characters to the story, even if I had seen it before somewhere else, this show just does it better. That said even when the story
...
does cliches well, it's still not that strong and if you want a good story, don't come looking here.
The characters though, that is where the show shines like a diamond. The characters despite a few being cliche, are all incredibly enjoyable and fun. Ako, the main girl is probably one of the most adorable and endearing characters in any anime I've ever seen. This same general sentiment can be applied to all major characters, they're endearing and they grow on you to the point of loving them.
The animation style of this show is yet another thing I love about it.All the characters and backgrounds look good. This animation coupled with the good sound design go a long way to tell me that there was actual effort put into this show.
I love this show.

Konosuba is one of the funniest shows that I have seen, period. Throughout the show there was rarely a time where I wasn't laughing my ass off.
Konosuba though doesn't really have a strong story, or really one at all. Sure there is a big baddy set up, but it never goes anywhere. Konosuba instead takes the episode by episode route of telling a story, where almost each episode tells a different story than the last. In that aspect, the story is gold, the episodes plot-lines are all funny and there are great jokes spread throughout.
I do have one issue with the show though and that
...
is with its treatment of the character Darkness. Darkness is kinda just thrown to the sidelines and never gets as much time spent to her as the others do, though this is just a small problem and doesn't detract from the enjoyment that I got out of the series.
All said and done, Konosuba is an amazing comedy, with fantastic jokes, good characters and some damn good parodies of other big shows, I couldn't recommend it more.

I love Girls und Panzer, it is my favourite anime and one of my favourite shows that I have ever seen. The things that I love about it are quite simple, it has good art and sound design and a decent sports tournament story (if a little cliche).
Undeniably the biggest factor that made me fall so in love with this show is just how much fun it is. It's a stupid show about girls in tanks fighting with said tanks, it has a stupid premise and the show just runs with it. It is clear to me that the people who worked on this
...
show put passion and effort into this dumb show about tank fighting and that makes me love it even more.
Aside from the fact that it is just pure dumb fun, it is for the most part, just an upbeat happy show. There are moments when it does get a bit serious, but that doesn't detract from the sense of upbeat happiness that the show is full to the brim with.
Girls und Panzer also has, in my opinion, some of the best fight scenes that I have seen in animation. The way that the tanks move and interact with each-other is really well animated and aside from some stupid things like tank drifting, the shows fights do stay fairly realistic.
All of this just kind of clashes together and creates magnificence.
