I'm gonna keep this review short and sweet.
-The plot of this anime is innovation at it's finest. It's simply amazing. It's a whole new breed of a story and it goes perfectly with the art.
The art is colorful, flowing, and beautiful... the character designs are reminiscent of Zankyou no Terror (Terror in Tokyo) as well as one character has a striking resemblance to the Gurren Lagan older brother (forgive me for lack of name, it's been a while).
Along with Re: Zero and Boku no Hero Academia, THIS IS THE SHOW TO BE WATCHING!
Regretfully, I've dropped quite a few other shows from this season that
...
I truly thought would be amazing.... HOWEVER, I knew from the moment I laid my eyes on the poster that this show would be absolutely incredible.
Every single episode is loaded with plot, story, and edge-of-your seat entertainment even though it's not even a typical thriller.
The story is so invigorating and, again, innovative, that it's truthfully something that should have been done a long time ago...
The music fits well with the story, but it's not Kabaneri/Attack on Titan/Aldnoah Zero memorable...
And although the actual story and plot are something that hasn't been done (in any anime I've seen (and I've seen A LOT)... it's something on a much different scale.
*SPOILERS BELOW*
Some might think that it is akin to mind reading, but this is completely different. Everything about the story and the people involved are absolutely incredible. Sharing pain to truly connect with someone at the core of their existence? YES PLEASE!
The love that exists between (you know who) is such a rare form of love that I really want to see what happens.
Can a miracle happen?
What is a miracle?
What is success?
Who am I?
Who are you?
Who are WE?
...........stay tuned to find out!

The tears can't stop flowing.
I've been giving many series I watch high ratings due to being in the moment and simply enjoying that show the most at that time.
This is simply THE BEST romance I've seen and possibly will ever see. It shows so many people in so many places doing so many things feeling so many emotions, it has everything a romcom lover would die for. I won't give this an individual breakdown of why I chose the different ratings on art, characters, etc... because just like this story, you can't put a numerical value on something so precious.
This is the first manga I've
...
ever read after watching the anime. I would have praised the anime much more if the manga didn't blow it out of the water then shoot it into outer space.
The characters are unforgettable and relatable, the art is perfect and hits you right in the feelings, the story carries you on a time span throughout the characters' lives of which I have rarely, if ever seen done or properly done in romance.
There are characters you don't care about, then there's characters you care too much about, and there's also characters you want to see succeed so badly >:| but didn't get to see even through 70 chapters! Shogunai, right?
It's hard to write a review without giving spoilers, but to sum it up:
----this is the first manga I've ever cried to, it's the first time I've ever read/seen media that's made me cry for over 20 minutes straight (no I'm not a slow reader@!), and It's the best ride I could have asked for
~tears of joy, tears of sadness, the tears wouldn't stop flowing

Charlotte, this was quite the ride. 13 Episodes? Not enough... still giving it a 10/10 rating? Yeah, and I'd go higher if I could. It had action, it didn't hold back on the gore, the psychological trauma, the brutal action and indiscriminate killing. This is the first review of any anime I've written so far, probably won't be the last, but for this season, Charlotte takes the cake for being the most fantastic, edge of your seat, has it all show that can appeal to quite the wide variety of audiences.
(spoilers: below)
(The Story: 10/10) It goes from a Code Geass/Higurashi/Death Note Imitation to holding
...
its own, and hold its own it did. The story truly goes all out, no-holds-barred. If you're a fan of those shows (like the very logical Ghost in the Shell, or death filled anime) and don't like those: "those characters clearly should have done that, but they didn't" type shows, then this will be for you!.... for the most part... I think that Otosaka's choice to take everyone in the world's abilities was downright ridiculous and absurdly impossible, and yeah, he should have healed his eye and gone to the past, but he was half delusional at that point so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. Anyway, the story played out. Too much for 13 episodes, but it was solid as f*ck.
(The Art: 9/10)
The colors were very rich, the animation was solid, not 5 cm per second or Ghost in the Shell Innocence/Solid State Society solid, but pretty damn solid.
(Sound: 8/10)
The voice acting IMO was very good, the main character, spot on. Perfect, through all his personality changes and crises. The OST, nothing terribly memorable like Aldnoah Zero (yeah, you guys know what I'm talking about), Attack on Titan, and Clannad, but the soundtrack also didn't noticeably detract from the quality of the show either.
(Characters: 10/10): Let's start with this statement: I'm a sucker for Accelerator. Railgun and Index fans will get that. Yu Otosaka, the main character is a highly developed character with a personality and also beautifully executed psychotic rampages. The relationships that were forged between them will probably remain in my mind while I go through my daily activities for the rest of eternity. Hint: F*CK YOU FEEL TRAIN! Yeah, they all had unique personalities and stories and all played a role in the series as their own entities.
(Enjoyment:10/10)
EDGE OF SEAT SH*T RIGHT HERE. It's got slice of life, violence, romance, what more could you want when all these are pieced together correctly?
(Overall: 10/10)
It wasn't perfect, it wasn't long enough (13 episodes) and there were some plot holes, but this was the series that kept me coming back week after week without fail. Watch it to the end, and if you don't like it, then it's just not for you. But for me, it was an amazingly well rounded series.... now time to go finish Gangsta!
