overall, from a psychological standpoint this manga was extremely well written. but when it comes to other things including the high romanticization of this manga in the media it made my enjoyability of this manga drop quite a bit. i read it a while ago expecting harsh circumstances and disgusting things to occur and that's how you have to go into it to truly understand what the manga is grasping at. I'm not even sure at this point what my true rating of it is but it's probably about a 6 or a 7 but for now i'm going to keep it as a 6 ... until my opinion on the stuff surrounding this manga changes. the fact that on tiktok there is nothing but romanticization of this story absolutely sickens me. IT IS NOT A YAOI NOR IS IT A LOVESTORY. like i said, you have to go into this story knowing that. it's extremely brutal with the events in the story so please don't let the media's forcive perception of this manga make you want to read it OR stop you from reading.
