At first glance, I wouldn't say that this manga has a very interesting or attention-grabbing plot, but I still liked this manga to the very end.
The story itself I have to compare with shoujo manga. It has the same type of almost hurried romance between the main characters and of course, the male lead is the type of perfect person that doesn't express his feelings for the other.
On the other hand, the protagonist is the type to be somewhat weak (?) and easy to bully to some extent.
However, I still find that the light-heartedness of the story made it very sweet.
There is
...
no stupidly outrageous humour and definitely shows things in a more realistic and mature manner except for some obviously "set-up" and almost impossible situations.
I personally found the art to be very captivating and appealing to look at.
Again, there was lots of similarities to that of shoujo art as well.
There is not anything too special to discuss about the art, but I have to say that I enjoyed observing the different expressions of the characters.
Moving on, the character development was never quite there at all.
Perhaps it was the result of the length of the series, or perhaps the mangaka put more attention to the story and less into the characters themselves.
After pondering it a bit more, I have to admit that the characters are still rather one-sided without depth, even if there are only 2 main characters that the story surrounds.
Maybe this is because I am more of a shoujo manga reader, but I still enjoyed this series very much to the very end for the way it was so sweetly written.

Having come across this lesser-known manga quite unexpectedly, it turned out not to be a bad read at all.
Story:
Pretty simple and rushed in at first on how a scary-looking gang boss confesses his love for this ordinary girl in his school. That is basically all there is to the plot in the end in which the story shows the comedic and exaggerated trials of their love and how they overcome obstacles of their romance which is beside the point of my review here. The ending is pretty exaggerated and unbelievable though..
Art:
This is the aspect that I particularly want to talk about.
...
From first glance, on the manga's page, the art does not seem to be particularly unique, great or exquisite, and that IS true nonetheless.
What I didn't see coming was that the mangaka would throw-in some shounen art into the main male character.
Not only that, the way the mangaka draws the expression of the characters is very well done in my opinion. The emotions happiness, shock and anger are drawn and expressed very well in which the reader would be able to tell such emotions instantly.
The degree of the emotion is also very clear in which kept my attention for a few more seconds than I usually would just to appreciate and empathize with the characters.
Character:
Since the manga is not very long and is mainly a romantic comedy, their character development can be assumed to be not very deep.
However, I do like the pinch of realism thrown into it because unlike other super-shoujo manga, the characters truly have emotions and NEGATIVE ones that mean that the characters actually have to deal with tough situations for once.
Overall: (7.5)...
A very exciting and rather action-packed (from a few of their "gangster" fights) manga that truly entertains even if its a short and lesser known manga.
Perhaps not a near-perfect type of original manga, but still nonetheless worth a read if you're feeling bored.

Zettai Heiwa Daisakusen begins with a rather heard-of story of 2 people from feuding countries coming together with fake love to end the war which slowly turns into true love.
(Skip to the bottom at "Overall:" for a basic summary...)
Story:
Even with the somewhat used base story, the plot is entertaining in how it is able to maintain a good balance of romance, comedy as well as dramatic events.
Personally, there is also a good dose of added realism from the political aspects of the story that I thought would probably be ignored in light of the romantic comedy.
The comedy of this manga
...
is mainly the lovers' quarrels between the two main characters and the minor characters' presence and behaviour which all bring a very sweet and cute aspect to the plot.
However parts that the manga could improve on would be the clarity of some aspects of the plot such as the ending. (Find out for yourself)
Even so, I am rather amazed at how the mangaka manages to turn the almost impossible situation into a happier ending (which shouldn't be too much of a surprise) with more emphasis on a light and comedic atmosphere again.
Art:
To me, the art is rather appealing and interesting especially the simplified smaller panel pictures that bring out the comedic effect of the situation and characters' actions a lot more.
The clothing of the characters have nice detail to them that give them a sense of realism. What I liked was how the mangaka manages to maintain a level of character distinctions even when using more or less the same eye-style on the characters, because this is usually an aspect that is left out.
Characters:
The characters do not necessarily have a lot of realism to them that make up a psychological story, but they do have some extent of depth and history behind them that make them likeable and interesting.
Overall:
A very cute and sweet rom-com yet exciting and on-plot enough to have a mix of politics, drama, (a bit of) realism and action included.
If you're looking for a bit different type of shoujo rom-com manga without too much of the stereotypical nonsense, this should be on your list. :)

I chanced upon this rather randomly and decided to read it for a lack of a better choice at the time. And I didn't regret any minute of it.
Story:
The story is rather loose. Almost loose enough to have no real plot to a certain degree I would feel. It was more or less random to put it nicely.
Characters came and went. Sometimes I didn't know when I would next see them.
I never quite knew what was happening at the time at the start of each chapter.
However, this chapter-by-chapter randomness still managed to keep my attention and interest nonetheless, something I
...
didn't quite expect either.
Near the end of the manhwa, it got looser with each next chapter. So, just beware.
Art:
I don't really know why or how to explain it, but I just fell in love with the light-hearted and loose art style. It was concise enough to understand yet gave off such a happy and light feeling that I just couldn't help gazing at each page for a few more seconds.
Character:
I don't quite remember because it has been a long time since I had a good impression of it, but even with the loose story, I recall having at least some in depth study into each character's thoughts and background.
Enjoyment:
There's not much to say about this manga, really, because of the looseness and just plain randomness. Yet, it can still make you have the attraction to just read on and go with the flow. Loved it.

Upon reading the synopsis, I expected a somewhat typical shoujo manga yet with an original and unexpected twist in plot. And I was right. But don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoyed this manga. And even though it's been a while since I've read it, much of the details remains fresh in my mind.
Story:
The story is starts off as the synopsis suggests. The atmosphere feels a tad deeper than I first expected. And even more twists and turns ensue in the suddenly unpredictable plot. However, the manga skilfully includes a good amount of comedy to lighten up the mood.
The comedic aspect in
...
this manga is something that I ALWAYS look forward to.
Usually, I'm not much of a laugher, but when I was reading this, I just couldn't help but re-read those funny pages repeatedly before I calmed down!
Speaking of re-reading, as mentioned before, the plot gets deeper with LOTS of twists. And so, there is confusion that is created. For me, I really did not understand some parts and the relationship between the characters at some point in time that I was forced to re-read a few parts to comprehend the situation. That is just something I feel that could have improved, though the mystery and secretiveness may have been intended?
Art:
I personally feel the art was great. The picture as shown in the display for the manga is rather small, but even so, the cover attracted me to first reading this manga. I'm not one to patronize big-eyed typical shoujo mangas and so I enjoyed the detailed and very unique art style.
For those smaller panels and what I call "cartoon heads" section where the art is simplified to a certain degree, I especially liked the protagonists' threatening look. It looked completely unlike the usual protagonists' expression that it just highlighted the comedy so much more.
Character:
In terms of character development, I must say it was well done for this manga.
It definitely did not give off the feeling of one of those COMPLETELY drama and psychological manga such as Mars (no offence intended).
The story does have this psychological aspect in which readers can empathize with even if just a bit, but as mentioned earlier, the comedy really lightens everything up.
The characters are not only (somewhat) realistic-ly drawn but also have a very human-like type of personality which is something I look for in manga - the realism of each characters and to see if the mangaka spent time developing each character's background and personality. It definitely shone through this time.
Especially for the supporting character of the protagonists' mother who is probably the one who seems the most complex in my point of view.
Enjoyment:
I really love this manga and it is definitely one of my favourites which I plan on re-reading when I somewhat (but probably will not) forget.
It is one of the manga which I feel the urge to finish before doing anything else similar to books that make you keep reading till the end.
Since there are obviously some faults that I can find with this manga, I would still give this a 9.5 for a high mark and an 8 for a low after more post-reading consideration.
Personally, I feel that this manga should gain more recognition than right now, so if you're in the mood for a manga with THESE conditions and genre, I'd recommend this one! Hope you'll enjoy this as much as I did!

Toraware no Minoue is basically a romance between the main characters who have a master-servant relationship, however the servant has a curse that makes him have an extreme impulse to do whatever his master tells him to, so that complicates the relationship.
Story: I must admit that the master-servant relationship is seen quite often, so I can't say it's completely original, however it does have a good amount of comedy inside. Sometimes, there are also some serious romance and tragedy parts, but the mangaka has done it quite well, in my opinion, to not make it all too overwhelming.
Art: I like the mangaka's style
...
of art very much both the detailed and simple face sketches which she draws.
Characters: The characters are actually quite common.
The master, Suzuka is the a very simple character being quite independent, kind-hearted, thoughtful of others and quite simple, but bearing some tragic events before in her childhood. However, the tragedies are not concentrated too much on.
Megumi, the servant character, can be described as a good and reliable person. He is also a character who would do [almost] (I'm not sure...) anything for the one he loves -- Suzuka.
Through all the adventures they go through together, they realize their love for each other in the long awaited search for the cure for the curse.
It was quite a cliche story in a way because of the quite simple storyline, but it is a very enjoyable shoujo.
Recommended to those who want a simple romance comedy with the romance going at a steady pace and not too deep a storyline.
(P.S. I don't know why anyone hasn't reviewed this yet... But, I'm happy to be the first to give a review for it and a recommendation for it.)

La Corda D’Oro ~ primo passo ~ was a quite enjoyable anime to watch. It combines a bit of comedy, fantasy, romance, and drama all in one. Not to mention, this anime is a reverse harem.
What I liked:
What impressed me the most in the anime was the theme songs it had which was (personally) very enjoyable to listen to. Also, while watching this anime, I was exposed to a wider range of music and more general musical knowledge in the little segment at the end of the show and during the show itself. The show itself had quite a bit of drama and
...
twists too. There was also something that made me quite addicted to it for some time (or maybe it was just me?)
What I disliked:
Although I do like the personalities of some of the characters, some of them are a bit typical and predictable. The main character / protagonist has her good and bad points, but enchants and changes all the other characters in a good way. Another main character is a genius violinist too, but is cold and harsh and only thinks of winning. There are many more typical characters like this in the anime.
The anime also gives out an equal amount of time between the protagonist and other characters, but this makes the storyline a bit boring the middle. In the middle of the anime, there were also a few irrelevant episodes that do not seem needed for the main story, but just adds some comedy and romance in between.
I would recommend this anime to amateur musicians such as myself, those interested in music, or those who would like a bit of romance and comedy with a music theme.
All in all, this wasn’t a bad anime, maybe with some quirks, but it was still enjoyable.
The source I used was www.crunchyroll.com I hope this review helped!

La Corda D'Oro ~ secondo passo ~ is the sequel of La Corda D'Oro ~ primo passo~ but I would not say it gave me a very good impression or the same impression as the prequel.
What I found surprising was that the second "season" or sequel was only 2 episodes which is a bit pathetic, I must say...
What I don't Like:
There are only 3 new characters, but only 1 appears as a new main character, so there's not much difference in the storyline.
The storyline is following the end of the school wide competition as shown in the prequel. Only in this
...
sequel is the top 3 winners of the competition are revealed. Even so, the other results are not shown... It must be so fans will not get disappointed if their fav character is last...
The show is mainly about "Kaji-kun" who also faces the same ordeal of hiding his playing the viola like Tsuchiura did with the piano.
Kahoko Hino - the main character, once again enchants another musician about the love of the instrument. (I find all this too repetitive.)
This fact is repeated several times more in the show that you should love your instrument and what matters is playing your heart out blah blah blah making the whole show drag around this fact.
Therefore, I wouldn't say that this would be a good sequel because instead of a whole series with different people overcoming different problems, this is just how one person overcomes his one problem in 2 episodes.
Other than this, I find everything else mediocre-ly neutral.
Note: I was already being lenient in giving this show a 7 out of 10.
