God. Damn.
I stumbled across a screenshot of this manga on social media, and so I did what usually do at 3 am when I find a promising manga - I binged the entire thing in one sitting.
And holy shit was that an incredible read. Where do I begin?
Enter Kusunoki, a man with nothing to lose, nor anything to gain in his life - and in a couple hasty decisions that no sane person would usually make, he puts a ticking time bomb on his life for a small wad of cash - but again, he's got nothing to lose, nor anything to gain, so fuck
...
it, right?
Accompanied by Miagi, a observer of sorts, the unlikely duo, struggle to find what makes them happiest in their newly shortened lives. The growth both subject and observer experience makes you cheer them on in every page of this 16 chapter saga.
No complaints art-wise. It's certainly not the best, but it still drives the story in very well.
It's just a really heart-filling manga, a perfect depiction of "don't cry because it's over - smile because it happened."
Thank you for your time.

A simple but incredibly sweet story - Yaiteru Futari is a manga that will really warm you up on the inside - a read perfect for a rainy day. If you enjoy an occasional lighthearted romance story, look no further, as this manga is for you.
No complicated romances, no heavy emotions, no extended disputes. It's a manga that is truly wholesome to the core. The story follows a newlywed couple slowly getting to know each other as they advance their relationship, one meal at a time - and that's about it! There's nothing to hate about this story and it's most definitely worth a look.
The
...
way the author brings in actual information regarding grilling is quite special and it's not something I have ever seen before in other manga. The little cooking tips sprinkled on top of the story is really interesting and I must say that I now have newly born urge to start learning to grill myself - though knowing myself I know that whatever monstrosity I create will never turn out even half as good as what's depicted in the manga, haha.
If there is one thing I must say, however, it's that the story does get a little bit repetitive, and it's more or less the same thing each chapter with a slight twist. Honestly though, I don't mind said repetition. There's honestly no need to look so deep into the story or search for some internal plot line.
The art is nothing super exceptional compared to other manga, and it's not incredible detailed either. But it's GOOD - don't get me wrong there. However, the way the artist draws the 2 MC's smiling is really unique, and it really just makes you want to smile right along with them.
A solid manga. Sit down, grab a drink, and take your time reading. You won't be disappointed.

This is an incredibly messed up manga.
It's also a really fucking incredible manga, period.
Every character in this story has a story of their own. The main characters and the supporting cast have something that really makes the reader hooked onto them. Compared to other stories, the author really takes their time with carefully weaving together a string for every single one of them, and then intertwines said strings to create... I don't want to say "masterpiece", it's hard to find a word, really. The characters are all realistic as hell - not realistic as in things they do happen often very often, but realistic as
...
in based on what happened in their past, you can clearly see the justification in what they are doing - no matter how disgusting or foul it may be.
It's dangerous to really take the story to heart though. Although it is very well written, I cannot say that there is even the smallest amount of what one would call "the moral of the story". In the end no one should ever try to experience anything that goes on in this manga.
If there is one thing that this manga is, it's emotional - not your usually break down crying or sunshine and rainbows kind of emotional, but instead emotional with much darker, almost melancholic tone. I don't want to speak for everyone, but I personally could relate to the scenarios taking place in a way I have never experienced in any kind of story. Every action made by someone is something I can imagine myself doing if I were in their situation
I can clearly see why many people wouldn't enjoy this story, as it does cover some very heavy topics, but if you are willing to take the plunge there's no real harm in doing so. Who knows, maybe you'll enjoy it, maybe you'll despise it. Either way, I highly recommend at least giving it some time to take a look.
As for the art, it's flawless. 10/10. No arguments will and can be made against this. I can count the number of manga that have comparable art to "Shounen no Abyss" on a single hand. The artist masterfully adds a whole other level of emotion with the way they depict the characters in their art.
All in all, it's a beautiful story. The way one may interpret it as beautiful may vary tremendously compared to the way others do, but it is inarguably, incontestably beautiful.
Thank you for your time.
