they are both very artistic and poetic and driven by an awesome musical score.. so if you can't appreciate something that's more interpretive and artsy then this probably isn't for you.. they feel something like a daydream, something pleasant and floaty.. yea, floaty.. hah.. anyways they're both great.

both series give a similar feeling-kind of melancholy and creepy.. plenty of spirits and dead people thrown in there.. and some seriously beautiful animation.. good stuff.

eye-catching and original style of animation.. kind of artsy with awesome use of color and a sort of comic book style of shading.. both series will give you the willies, but it's nothing too scary.. just creepy and interesting.. they set a very similar tone/mood.. for me, it was mostly the animation that sucked me in.

Majin Tantei Nougami Neuro

right off, i'd have to say that ghost hunt is the better of the two [even though majin hasn't finished airing yet].. but both are episodic series with mysteries being solved.. a young high school girl with no family follows around a mysterious sempai-mystery-solver.. um.. there isn't a whole lot as far as character development goes in either of the series.. majin has more bizarre [and shocking] humor while ghost hunt sticks to the paranormal shockers without the laughs.. both involve the supernatural-majin's main character is a demon with really strange mystery-solving methods.. while ghost hunt focuses on the religious or spiritual methods of ghost hunting [ghost, monster, poltergeist, psychokinetic hunting].. anyways, i wasn't a huge fan of either, but methinks if you liked one you might enjoy the other..

same artist.. so chances are if you loved/hated the animation in one, you'll feel the same way about the other.. personally i'm a fan.. the artwork is very surreal, and you feel like you're watching some kind of bizarre dream.. through a painting.. or something.. tis tough to explain.. but both require somewhat of an open mind.. the animation might take getting used to.. the plot-lines are both very twisted and sometimes hard to follow.. but it has its own beauty=]

another great drama, slice-of-life or what have you.. it's centered mostly on the romance between just two characters which leaves more room for character development.. some interesting comedy thrown in there too-not exactly what i've seen in other series but it works.. it doesn't give me the same sort of feeling as honey and clover, but i just wanted to recommend it because it's highly entertaining.

this series gave me the same sort of feeling as speed grapher.. it's hard to define.. but yea, it's very dark and deals with the underbelly of society [though ergo proxy is quite a bit more futuristic].. upheaval, good versus evil, that sort of thing.. the animation is also on par with this one.. definitely check it out.

well let's see.. there's the mecha, the fighting for justice, the comedy, the love-story, the high school drama, the partial nudity.. guess it's pretty similar.. actually, it's even better than mai-hime in my opinion.. especially when you get to the next 2 seasons.. yep.

Code Geass: Hangyaku no Lelouch

Though it may have a little less comedy thrown in, this one's also action-packed with all of the usual elements (romance, high school woes, teenagers fighting like they know what the hell they're doing etc) thrown in. Code Geass might be taking it to the next level though, you'll have to see for yourself—definitely puts you on the edge of your seat.

plot-wise it's way off base.. but as far as the level of insanity and eye-popping animation goes it's right on.. plus Paprika [the lead character] sort of reminds me of Haru.. both warrant multiple viewings since there's so much going on.. they are by far two of my favorites.. definitely worth looking into.

well.. it's my other favorite drama [without all the science-fiction-y unrealistic elements].. great animation, some of the best i've seen.. and the characters are solid.. romance, whatnot.. it's all there and my guess is that if you liked honey and clover you'd like this one as well.
