The anime started slow. Most of you might have thought of dropping this due to the voice acting of Asta, but if you stayed and ignored the horrible screaming, you will realize that Asta screamed less and less, until he doesn't feel annoying anymore. Although that his personality can tick us off, we have to admit, other anime that has this kind of protagonists tick us off too.
It is just that, this anime tries a bit too hard sometimes, like when it comes to battles, we only get to see Asta in action and others being the support, but recent anime episode shows otherwise and
...
they are catching up with him in terms with new spells.
With Yuno, we already know he is too powerful thanks to his 4-leaf clover grimoire which is apparently rare, but development wise, we still need to know more about him, he still has the same behavior from the beginning. They are protagonists but the feeling I get is that we get the main focus of Asta as he is one of a kind in this magic filled word. So that fell a bit short on me.

For the people who will prejudice the anime base on the reviews here.
The answer is plain simple, up to you if you want to watch it yes or not. Watch a couple of episodes or so, but never base your likeliness of watching an anime because of someone who rated it so slow, remember all reviews are subjective. Same goes for me, but I will tell you what I like about this series.
Story - The synopsis says it all but it doesn't stop there. This anime is not all about cooking, it's more about building trust and relationships with the Ayakashi. Sure, it may sound
...
like that with the synopsis, but I don't judge an anime from it only, I go and watch and see if I will get into it, and I did. I actually get into and was surprised that there are something else involved than just cooking for the Ayakashi and paying off the debt. I try to be spoiler-free here, so if you want to spoil yourself feel free to look for other reviews. I am sorry if this has wasted your time.
Art - Since the main setting of this series is in the Hidden Realm and not the Apparent Realm (Humans). The art remains the same as we are used to. It's not like your typical anime, it actually tries to blend the atmospheric as the Human Realm (Apparent). Although there are times that the characters looked weird at some point, but most of us know the reason.
Sound - I am enthralled by its opening and ending songs, besides there's nothing to say to this section because the anime is not action-oriented.
Character - The characters aren't really realistic but given this is not a slice-of-life genre, I don't see any reason why they should try to aim for realistic personality. The characters are here to entertain and satisfy its viewers. Either be happy or be mad. The point is you are driven to somewhat "act" whatever the characters do.
Aoi is a character that I actually want to be, but not entirely. There are some points that I don't like about her but sometimes her judgement is correct. Although there are some scenarios I don't understand why she chose to act kind. But then again, she doesn't exactly hate those person.
Just like the kid from a youtube video where he was asked what his last message was to end the video, he said "If people hate you, don't hate them". You have no exact reason why to hate those people, we just let this grew into our hearts. This is what Aoi is trying to show when she has endure those hatred from Ayakashi or the avoidance.
I won't talk the others because I don't think they will fit my "review to convince you" and also Aoi always appears on every episode.
Enjoyment - Supposedly you already know how I feel about this anime, given the score of 8 and how I enjoyed the story. When I waited for episodes to come out, I decidedly to watch them all until I realize that I was at the end of the episode. I felt sad and frustrated because I wanted to know more only to find out they don't show previews, only give hints what it will be for the next episode, at the end of the episode they will show an episode end card where it has the hint what the next episode it will be. Gives you something to think about.
Overall - This anime has one of those cases where the suspense drama starts acting up during halfway of its run, this is somewhat sad given how many people are prejudicing anime nowadays. Or comparing, but need to remind you that the anime is unique on its own, never compare an anime to another anime, this is like comparing DC and Marvel.

If you watch this anime now and not back in those days, you might have thought "Is this a lolicon anime?" Or some of you will just assume that it will about a teenage guy liking a child or vice versa. But don't let that kind of mindset take over you so quickly.
When you started the first episode, you will be greeted by a teenage boy, rejecting his responsibilities and is your typical playboy that doesn't take love seriously until he met his cousin, where they found out that the mother left her in their care. The sister obviously knows what kind of a
...
person Kippei is (the teenage boy), so she unanimously decided that Kippei should take care of her starting from that point. He was disappointed a bit since he wont be able to do things that he like.
But after this first meeting with his cousin, he starts to change his ways and tries to understand his cousin. Understanding a child is not be underestimated, they may look cute and simple-minded but sometimes, they do hard-thinking too and children are the most stubborn ones. Once their mind is set, it is up to the adults to figure out what they are trying to hide.
Now to what I like about this anime.
Character Development is a win. Each episode is filled with weird, tearful or cheerful scenarios and the characters are changing slowly, like it is showing us that the longer you spent with someone, you will change your personality somewhat just to be with them or just to take care of them. The characters that you see on the anime's opening are the certainly the most important ones.
The voice acting is still good. I really love the fact that they used a child as the VA of Yuzu (the young kid). Kokoro's (she's in the similar situation with Yuzu, but not entirely) emotions are may be bland, but that is who she is ever since she grew up like that. You can definitely feel that she doesn't like to live longer or just can't let go of something. It is definitely heartbreaking when you hear that kind of voice in real life too. But nowadays, we will just tell them that they are just overreacting.
Guess that's that for the review, it is definitely up to you if you want to watch this, but keep some tissues close-by. But they are also some trigger warnings, don't get angry too easily and just continue watching the show. It is not what you think it is.

This is an anime where you can definitely kill some time or so. It is not the best or the worst anime I have ever seen, but I can tell you that this anime is still decent. I noticed lately that people are quick to judge to what it is, like some people will assume that it is like a reverse harem anime, which I don't think it really is like one.
The main character (female) doesn't have that weak personality. She definitely fights back (using words, because violence is not shown in this anime). There's nothing much I can say about this anime. It is
...
definitely to kill some time if you are waiting for your day to pass by quicker.
The characters in general are somewhat easy to know what kind of personality they have but the minority still sounds suspicious, the reason why I am still watching this anime, it is because I have the feeling that there will be a plot twist soon. If you are that person who definitely stay on the anime just to know what will happen next (most anime are but this one just actually made me curious), I suggest you to watch this. Some episodes are just ridiculous to watch but it still made me enjoy it at the end. This anime is shouting like "Never take it seriously"-esque.

Randomly found this anime while I was browsing through the old ones (before the year 2000). While the art style seems to turn me off, I still give it a try because it also felt unique at the same time.
When I first started this anime, it felt so weird seeing that they all look like stick figures that just got a little bit more touch and all, but after a while I got use to it. It didn't take that long either for me to get hooked to this anime.
It's simply addicting, it is not cringeworthy to watch but maybe you will find it weird
...
for how some characters talk, but that is their character. The story itself is funny, not too serious but at the same time, you can feel what they feel, they really bring out your emotions and suddenly feel empathy with this character. As you dig in through the anime, you will notice that they have a misunderstanding from the beginning, this makes us, the viewers, to continue watching further. Just to see how the story ends. While I may have issues how Mikako talks, but that goes the same for the older ones that I have watched as well.
This anime also teaches us some morals like, "Don't judge a book by its cover". Although we already know this so many times, this one emphasizes that more, like Mikako's friend Risa, who likes to wear goth clothes, it's actually kind-hearted person, or that the fact Jiro who looks like someone that does disco, is actually a gamer and a programmer.
Aside from their personalities, the way they used the music fits way too much. When I first started, I was surprised that they used an English song that pretty much fits the atmosphere. Think that was the one that got stuck with me the most, and I just couldn't wait to finish this anime.

Hello! Thank you for taking your time to read this review.
Show By Rock!! # is one of those anime where you will feel the absolute cringeworthy scenes yet stay because of whatever reason you have. I don't hate this show, I just feel like the second season was a bit disappointing.
If you watched all of the episodes you will feel a bit disappointment because it didn't end the way we actually wanted. It's like we were expecting something yet it wasn't the one that we were expecting. I will not review it separately because the score is pretty much the same, a 7. They
...
are somethings that they lack from the first season, some that got a bit better, but that's that.
The reason why I give this anime a 7, mostly because it doesn't feel logical anymore given that the main character, Cyan, was teleported to Midi City using a phone. While in this season, she was transported here by a giant robot. It confuses you in the beginning, and this question will likely pop-up like, "Wait, Sound World is not a game world?!" or "Wait, Sound World does really exist?!".
Then later more questions are added, only to confuse you.
Art remained the same, but they left out the 3D animation a lot on this one, (that's what I feel like seeing anyway).
This anime does give me some surprises and some clearance for characters about why they know each other. But there's something missing on this anime that made me feel like giving it a lower score this time. I like that they gave us a second season for this series, but I feel disappointed.
But I guess it is just me, but then again, it is up to you after all if you want to watch this anime yes or not. Because I also watch other anime that have like the average score of 5 to 6.
Once more, thank you for reading this review and I hope it was helpful for many readers out there who are thinking if they watch this show or not.

Where to begin? Maybe to where I know this anime first.
This anime started as a stand-alone movie, if I am not mistaken it had two movies where they are introducing the characters that we will meet later on the series.
After the series started, fans that have found this before, will know that it doesn't follow the movies. It started from the start to much my dismay. Anyhow let's get back to rating.
Story (10) - Since I was excited about this series, I know that the anime will not disappoint me, and I was right, although the first episode had me confused, it took me
...
a while to realize the studio decided to start from scratch but it stayed quite the same, only different interpretation. I tried predicting about the reason why the main character couldn't do certain magic, but at the end. It got me by surprise, this anime never fails to amaze you.
Art (10) - Pretty much original, each characters are different from each other and yet they are still easily to be remembered. Aside from the characters, I really like how they do their scenery, the lightning, it gives us more atmospheric feeling and it doesn't bore us out.
Sound (8) - Well, the soundtracks make the Shiny Rod amazing, but I don't really remember much of it because I was set focused on the episode, meaning I enjoy the story more than concentrating to the soundtrack.
Character (10) - Well, plenty of character development here, but we have a Mary Sue character (Diana), but later on the series, she has given a background story as well, where it makes you feel bad about what you have thought about her in the beginning. It made sure that the really important characters get backstories. Even minor characters, they have some small background stories that are not really quite relevant to the series yet it was there, to know why they are like that.
Enjoyment (10) - There is never an episode where I had to say, "I will just skip some part of this anime", I tend to do that, but it never gave me that feeling. I was constantly curious how it will end.
Overall - Well, certainly an anime that has the Harry Potter vibe on it, but this anime is unique. You don't see a lot of anime that has a school and witches on it that actually make sense.
Thank you for reading this review!
Have a nice day everyone!

Randomly picked this anime and I say that it was okay. I was able to finish the anime without complaining how bad or how slow. But put that aside, this is an anime where you will have the cringe feeling with some episodes, I had no problems with so I was able to enjoy the episodes.
Story (8) - Show By Rock!! is somehow unique to its own, or maybe not (I may have to see another anime where a random main character is sent to another world just to save it and all). More of the reason why I like this anime it is
...
because of the story development. It doesn't feel rush or too slow, although it has 12 episodes. It felt like it didn't have 12 episodes.
More reasons, characters have almost equal screen time, and this is why I was able to remember their names and able to find myself with some of them.
Art (10) - Yes, I gave it a perfect score because the creator of this anime tried a mix of 2D and 3D. Although the 3D looked like it was made to lure the kids into buying them because they really look like a figurine. What I like about this series is that they keep separate and appropriate where they show the 3D version and 2D version. This is why it didn't confuse me.
Too be honest, the 3D version will stick to me more because it's not something you get to see on every anime.
Sound (10) - Since it's a music genre, it has to live up its expectations. It has some good variety of genres, thanks to the bands that are available on the series. We get to hear some classical Japanese music, some rock music, some visual kei (well a certain boy band looked like it can pass for a visual kei band). And they are all catchy.
Enjoyment (8) - I certainly enjoyed this anime, even though I had moments where I was cringey. Or sighed because how dumb the joke was, or it was getting annoying.
I like that the creators didn't focus on one main thing, and they add some fun things in there while Cyan is getting better with her guitar skills.
Overall - It is an anime that you can recommend to a younger teen, not to an older teen, even though they are scenes that can be deemed not for 12 year-old or so. Reason why I said this anime is for younger teens it is because of the 3D animation and models, the models look like they are there to lure the kids and the kids will beg to buy one for them.
Anyhow, I hope my review is helpful even though it is already 2 years late.
Have a nice day!

Let's cut to the chase.
* Story (7) - I didn't know to expect from this movie in the beginning, it all randomly started with a show from the Flower Division and it left me confused for a while until I realized it was the opening of the movie.
As the story further progressed we get to meet characters and such, and we learn more about their background stories.
* Art (8) - Since it's a movie from the 2000, I suspect that the art will be something like that, it felt okay to watch but I had sometimes troubles with how the characters sometimes make
...
faces. It's bugs me. There was also two characters that almost looked the same to me due to their hairstyle and the haircolor. But it was later clarified.
* Sound (9) - I just love hearing the instruments during battle scene, it gives more the epic feel of slaying an enemy and such. (You will know which scene I mean). It had me confusing in the beginning but I noticed there weren't really an opening so that was automatically an opening song.
* Character (8) - We see some serious character developments upon the arrival of the character named, Ratchete. And other two people that used to work for her on a team. Logically speaking, this movie is more about her than the Flower Division altogether. She was there to learn something out of it.
The antagonist is not that special, I kind of miss the original ones because they have more deeper meaning why they exist, while the antagonist of this movie? He just randomly popped and say he will rid the world of Kobous and Eisenkleids. (Don't know I spell both correctly).
* Enjoyment (8) - Well, even though I had those negative comments about the antagonist I still enjoyed the movie no matter, what. It just gave me the feeling that I do miss the original Sakura Taisen team. Bu it feels off for me, that's all.

It's not your typically reverse harem anime, and the plot may seem weird to you.
I like it how they are trying to create diversity with these kind of genres because you would always see that female is mostly dominated or clueless.
Hinako doesn't have those, she is reasonable and it's not annoying like other reverse harem animes. It's rare to find a reverse harem without me quitting after an episode or two.
Story - Well, you don't really see much story progress here, but you can feel that a lot of time has passed and such. It's more likely about the girl getting used to
...
her surroundings because it is an all-boys' school after all!
Art - It does have the generic feeling yet, you can somehow remember the characters individually without getting their names mixed. Maybe some of new viewers here will be confused by the twins.
Character - Either it's too quick or normal, but give that each episode only last for about 8 minutes long, I am sure they have to find another way to make everything seem logical within that time they have. The female lead (Hinako) seem to be that type of person that will think things through and finally reach a resolve at the end. Which make me like her character a lot.
Enjoyment - Well, every episodes are always bunch of surprises, you may not really know what is coming at you. Even if it seems predictable you have these moments where you can't help but laugh. It doesn't force the idea of Hinako falling in love to someone but simply doing this because of the request made by her older brother.
Overall, I would suggest that some people who likes Otome so much, this one a try. Because it is not your typical reverse harem romance where all boys fall in love to one girl. Meaning, not really much romance is involved in here, barely even.
