If you liked Shinseiki Evangelion add

...then you might like Kono Danshi, Uchuujin to Tatakaemasu. add

In both is a post-apocalyptic world brought about by some otherworldly threat. A teenage boy fights against this threat, but becomes increasingly more emotionally unstable. Communication with others is also a major theme in both. Kono Danshi is ultimately more optimistic then Evangelion though.

...then you might like Kakumeiki Valvrave add

Both mechas based around high schoolers. Valvrave is clearly more aimed at comedy though but still has lots of twists. The two main girls come across as very similar too.

Both have weird animation effects and delve deeply into the psychological aspects of the characters.

The charcater of Hunni in Ouran is like a less complex version (and less annoyin) of Momiji from Fruist Basket.

I find the artwork and stye similar in both series and both have samey villains... both train and chrono have conflicted paths and find friends who help them
