Cop Craft gives me a nostalgic feeling when anime had a more western feel with shows like Cowboy Bebop. And is a show I believe deserved better treatment than it got here.
The story works as a good allegory for today's world where immigration is a touchy subject. A portal has opened up and now Fantasy elf people are coming into our world, all reverse isekai.
But it takes a lot more inspiration from Western works than it does Japanese ones.
As a buddy cop drama. I believe it works.

Kenja no Mago tries to be a lighthearted comedy show with some serious moments but fails to entertain. The story's protagonist is Shin. And you know he's the protagonist because only the Main Character would have a design as bland as his. The writters were also too afaid the put any personality into him out of fear it might turn him into a real human boy. This show has no reason to be an Isekai show. As a fan of Yuri and all things girls love. Bloom Into You left me in a dark state of depression.
I dropped the manga a while ago trying to figure out why I never really got into it. But after finishing the anime, I finally figured it out. It's Boring! Starting out with the positive. The presentation is Second to none when it comes to Yuri anime adaptions. Animation is fluid and the attention to detail great. And the Opening has many undertones. But this is where my appreciation ends. The rest of the show is just so boring to watch. The characters are just not very likeable. So ... |
