This is really a masterpiece. It was so beautiful. It makes you try to remember your 10 year old self too and if that person would like the version of you now. I love how it was so realistic and believable. One of the deepest Studio Ghibli works. The characters are so relatable and loveable too. I love how it would go back and forth to her memories and to the present, how she was trying to process it all. I would love to show these to my children one day. This is truly so underrated! NEED AO HARU RIDE SEASON 2 ASAP!!! I loved this shoujo anime so much. It tackles trying to fit in, first love, dealing with childhood trauma/pain and making "happy memories" in school (watch anime to get this reference). Kou Tanaka's character has so much depth and is very realistic specially with how he was written and portrayed. Season 1 was so delightful and the ending opens up a lot of possibilities which is why I'm about to watch the OVA and read the manga right now. I need more Kou & Yoshioka animation though!!
