"●REC"
- imPERVious90 Certified -
In all honesty, this is the embodiment of the saying "Don't Judge A Book By Its Cover", with that said, not only is it an embodiment of a very accurate proverb, this manga also manages to make you truly embed said proverb into the very depths of your soul. You shall never again judge any manga, or any anime, or ANYTHING AT ALL, for the remainder of the existence of your now non-judgemental life, "Judge a book... by its cover".
●REC, in all its morals its about to implicate unto the reader, isn't that much exemplifying in terms of its Art. It's
...
nothing you've exactly seen before, but it does well enough to truly express how characters interact or feel.
The characters, without giving anything away, are rather simple. You will understand how a certain character will act and how a certain character's trope is, long enough until the story just makes you think twice about what you just thought about said characters.
The Story is brilliantly executed. This is where ●REC really shines it its elements and it truly shows that in execution. The Transitions of settings to characters, to how it shows it panels to the audience are all brilliantly configured to give the reader its all out potential.
Overall, despite just being a one-shot, and just a couple of pages, is all it needs to get its whole premise across with finesse. I certainly just suggest this to anyone ... and anybody at all in that matter, in a way just make 'em feel bad or just to give 'em a moral implication of sorts. Overall please do read this fine gem.

I'll get down to it, this anime had a premise... A premise that showed such potential unto evolving into possibly something memorable. The end product unfortunately, clearly makes what I said just previously unto something of an absolutely bogasity.
The anime starts out rather typical... Yes, it has similar traits to those of the same theme, namely "Fushigi Yuugi", and "Inuyasha", No, it does not span as lengthy as those two, but what it had was quite a distinct element/s, that not only showed uniqueness, but possibly what would've made this anime memorable as my statement stands. The premise presented could have
...
only fully reach its potential when of course handled with T.L.C.. This was like two buns and a really good patty, but without that tomatoes, lettuce, and cheese, you'll never taste the entirety of the burger... Oh and Tender Loving Care, yeah, that too... The story was a mess , characters randomly popped up here and there to little or no exposition whatsoever, art was flakey, and sound was meh. A sad summation to the otherwise very distinct element/s it presents, the story had a neat complexity, the characters had quite interesting hints to their character and/or back story, art has it's "rain or shine" but consistent, and sound... nothing really too unique I can mention 'bout it.
Anyhow, Overall, this was brilliant... said no one ever, if this just wasn't as poorly executed as it was presented, and that thought is just sad, as I really want to try and like this... Maybe I just didn't try hard enough, I don't know... You decide

"The Power Plant"
- imPERVious90 Bogusified -
I'll try to make this brief and say, The Power Plant... is down... right ,... bogus...
Now this review isn't to insult this manga, but is to prepare you to the downright atrocity, (or masterpiece, I try to see it both ways, but seriously...) The Power Plant...
Kago Shintarou is the author of this manga, and to those familiar with his works, this does not fall short of his style. All three chapters are of different stories but are of one theme, a
...
very well implicated theme, that isn't even slightly hidden, or subtly introduced but just immediately tells you "Welcome to the world of Kago Shintarou... here's The Power Plant"... Its consistent and well contains very subliminal messages throughout, granted, depending on your interpretation, the depiction of the story along with the characters can mean something very valuable, that is of course you aren't so mortified by what you are already seeing that you can't depict these hidden messages even slightly then well yes, very intriguing indeed.
Now the art is rather... unique, now those who have seen or read a Kago Shintarou work might not find this surprising but to new readers... well, this is how this man works... Some tend to be "normal" (that's roughly stating it), but fits the theme very well when necessary. some tend to be "hard to discern", but in most cases are then easily known once an action is committed towards it, and well overall it's "Kago Shintarou", that's short for "@#!&@#! !@#@&&$ WHAT IN THE #&$@^_^!"
Overall to those used to the works of "Kago Shintarou" or of those alike and are quite intrigued by the genre, this manga has a unique take towards it, and introduces elements that are probably fairly new and fairly done. To the average viewer... good luck... you will need it...

"Super-Conductive Brains"
- imPERVious90 Bogusified -
Now, to those who knows or are familiar of the works of Kago Shintaro or to be more specific, that of the guro-manga typed manga scene, you may possibly know how this review may go. To those who are looking for a good read and happen to stumble upon this manga... Well, prepare for a "good" read...
Super-Conductive Brains has a story to it, a oddly developed story. Now it may not immediately tell you what in the world is going on, and believe me, you'd be telling yourself, "What in the world is going on?" for the entirety of the read,
...
it will definitely tell you what in the world is going on in a rather "subtle" fashion. Each chapter has its own story to it, but the over-arching story will be slowly revealed, and I think it was done in a rather easy-to-follow fashion, to which I give merit to, granted, that that story isn't really much to go around and may be already obvious and predictable to the some very observant viewer/s.
Now with art, it has the "Kago Shintaro" usual style to it, and to those familiar with his works, it is easily discernible. Now for the general audience, it can be perhaps a tad bit exaggerated at times. Though with how the genre goes, the art form easily discerns what is what, and that is certainly not easy to do with this type of genre. With that, the characters are, well, bland, no one standouts, though character development for each chapter are fairly done and expresses what each characters motives are for the actions they commit.
Overall, if you are a fan of the "guro" manga genre, then why in the world not, not read a Kago Shintaro manga... Now on the far side of the spectrum, well... This is certainly not easily stomached and I do recommend you to "stay away" as far as possible. If you don't like "guts, very-very dark humor, and more guts" then yes... please do take my advice and go... far far away to "Naruto" Land... If you're the "guro" typed person then this certainly is for your own super-conductive brain... you slime... no offense...

"1+2=Paradise"
- imPERVious90 Bogusified -
1+2=Paradise features well basically everything in a typical ecchi and haremy type of anime. From its characters backstory relations to one another, to the current dense typed response the main protagonist expresses, it has everything that you've already know and love from a typical ecchi-genre'd anime.
Its story is easy and simple, nothing to extraordinary or makes it standout too much, but it does explain the situations the characters found themselves easily. Animation is dated, being created back in 1990, but it suits its time's general animations fairly well. The characters are all your typical characters you find in most ecchi, from
...
the clumsy one, to the over attached one, to the dense one and what not, all fairly well expressed to no sudden questionable character changes so character development is on its minimal.
Overall this anime can be enjoyable if you find ecchi typed anime's your thing, you can give this a shot why not, but to the general audience it can be a tad too much cliche' or "what in the world is going on?" moments will be said often.
