I'm not an elitist who grades on a curve; my scores are high because I genuinely enjoy anime and manga. If I'm not enjoying a series, I'll (try to) drop it and/or not watch its sequels rather than finish it, resent it for wasting my time, then give it a low rating. (Unless there's overwhelming hype around a series OR it's recommended to me ad nauseam.)

my rating system:
10) a true masterpiece OR okay I'm biased
9) memorable & enjoyable from start to finish
8) good ride, but noticeably flawed OR just doesn't have that "it" factor
7) enjoyable despite glaring flaws/less than the sum of its parts; likely failed to hold my attention throughout
6) unimpressive: few enjoyable moments and/or many frustrating moments; felt like a chore to watch
5) mediocre: "wouldn't recommend to anyone" territory
4) few redeeming qualities/fails to deliver on its promises
3) no redeeming qualities: "total waste of my time" territory
2) fails on a structural level & offends me with its existence
1) when I'm on my deathbed, I'll regret not having made better use of my time

Watched in its original language with English subtitles unless noted otherwise. Won't rate entries under ~20mins or register unimportant entries (e.g. MVs) under ~5mins.
