ReLIFE is an incredibly gripping anime. I finished it in just two days, though I could have easily watched it in a single sitting—it was that engaging. I deliberately paced myself because I didn’t want to rush through it too quickly. The story pulls you in so effectively that it’s hard to stop watching.
One of the anime’s strongest aspects is its unique and thought-provoking premise. The concept feels fresh and keeps you invested throughout. However, when it comes to the characters, I didn’t find them particularly memorable. By the time I finished the series, I could barely recall their names, likely because they lack distinct
...
qualities that set them apart. The exception to this is Hishiro, who stands out the most among the cast. That being said, I did appreciate how the anime explores the backstories of Kaizaki’s classmates, showing their personal growth and the challenges that shaped them into who they are. This character development is well-executed, allowing us to understand their personalities and values over time.
Another strong point of ReLIFE is its pacing—every episode feels meaningful. There isn’t a single "filler" episode; each one contributes to the overarching story and enhances the plot. It’s impressive how much the anime manages to convey in just 13 episodes. While I won’t go into specifics to avoid spoilers, there are definitely some standout moments that leave a lasting impression.
If I had to point out a weaker aspect, it would be the music. Throughout the entire anime, not a single track stood out to me or left a lasting impact. None of the background scores caught my attention, and I didn’t find the opening or ending themes particularly memorable either. However, this could simply be a matter of personal taste rather than a flaw in the soundtrack itself.
As for the ending, I really liked how the anime concluded—especially the final episode. Those who have watched it will understand why I say this. It delivers a satisfying resolution that leaves an emotional impact.
Overall, ReLIFE is a must-watch anime with a gripping premise, a well-structured story, and meaningful character development. It’s an experience that will pull you in, and before you know it, you’ll have finished the entire series. If you’re looking for something unique and engaging, this anime is definitely worth your time.

Everyone who watches the second season should absolutely check out the extra ONA episode as well. They essentially serve as a third season of Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan—even the title reflects that idea. However, I can’t quite understand why these episode was released as ONA instead of being included at the end of the second season. I came across an interesting theory in another review, suggesting that the serious tone and plot progression in this episode might feel somewhat out of place for the usual style of Saiki. Perhaps that’s why they chose to release them as standalone extra, though I’m not entirely sure.
Now, about
...
the episodes themselves: they feature two main story arcs. In the first, Kuusuke creates a copy of Saiki, which leads to some fascinating and chaotic moments. In the second, there’s a volcano on the verge of erupting, and Saiki works to prevent the disaster while desperately trying to hide his psychic powers from his friends. I found both arcs incredibly engaging, hilarious, and well-executed.
One of the highlights of these episodes is seeing all the characters come together, interacting in a single storyline. It felt like the perfect closure to the series—an awesome finale. However, the episode ends with a cliffhanger, which I didn’t enjoy much. Personally, I would have preferred a more conclusive ending. While some viewers might appreciate the suspense, I find cliffhangers a bit frustrating.
That said, I did appreciate the idea of Saiki sharing his biggest secret—his psychic powers—with his friends. It’s a meaningful narrative decision, and the emotional weight of this moment really hit home. Throughout the series, Saiki has always tried to avoid forming close connections, yet in these episodes, we truly feel the bonds he shares with his friends. This is especially evident when Nendou talks about being Saiki’s "pal," even after learning his secret. That scene was so touching, it left me feeling surprisingly emotional.
Still, I wish the story hadn’t ended with so many unanswered questions. What happens to Saiki and Teruhashi’s relationship? What about Kaidou and Yumehara? How will Saiki’s friends react to learning the truth about his psychic powers and the fact he kept it hidden for so long? These are the kinds of things I’d love to see resolved.
Regardless of my thoughts on the ending, one thing is certain: if you’ve watched Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan, you must watch this ONA episode. They’re an essential part of the story and an absolute treat for fans.

This season is exceptional, rivaling the brilliance of the first. It introduces several compelling new characters, such as Aiura, Akechi, and Saiko, who bring fresh energy and depth to the story. The scenarios and themes explored in these episodes surpass those of the first season, offering a richer and more engaging experience. The story arcs are particularly captivating, with one standout being the unforgettable stranded island arc, which is both thrilling and highly memorable.
If you enjoyed the first season, I can confidently say you'll love the second even more. The anime not only excels at refining what it already did well but also enriches the
...
narrative by adding new layers of complexity and excitement. It’s a masterful continuation that elevates the series to new heights.

This anime is really enjoyable. While it may not be extremely funny, it is certainly funny enough to keep me entertained. I particularly like the topics and scripts of the episodes. Interestingly, even though it's not a continuously ongoing series, it managed to grip me so much that I always made time to watch it, even when I was very busy.
As I mentioned earlier, I really appreciate the ideas behind the anime—not just for the scenarios but also for the characters. Nendou and Kaidou, in particular, stood out to me as incredibly interesting, and they brought me a lot of laughs. Toritsuka was also hilarious,
...
and I thoroughly enjoyed watching him as well.
I also liked how the episodes are divided into short, five-minute segments. I'm not sure why, but this format made it much easier to watch. Maybe it's a psychological thing, but it definitely worked for me.
To sum up, I’m really looking forward to watching the second season. In fact, I’m going to start it as soon as I finish writing this review! I definitely recommend watching this anime. However, I’m not saying it’s the kind of show that will have you rolling on the floor laughing. Rather, it’s gripping, with fascinating characters and intriguing episode scripts that make it a joy to watch.
