Quick Review if you do not want to read that much
Art - 6/10
Although sometimes the anime can have its moments, I feel as if things were like really linear this time. Past seasons had better animation in my opinion, openings still had pretty good animation. A few episodes have good animation, but where its just training, the animation is kinda cheeks.
Sound - 7/10
I don't really see any problem with it. Openings like I said above are pretty good, ending is also pretty nice. The OST over the past 3 seasons have become very nice to hear. They always have the correct time for a
...
specific soundtrack to come in and some soundtracks have been an addition in Act 2.
Character and Story - 10/10
If you want more explanations, feel free to leave a comment on my profile. The character development is probably top class. Its not like some other anime where they just become overpowered instantly. This actually takes its time with each and every one of its characters. They make their characters have depth and its quite amazing. The main cast really shines and they give good screen time to other characters. How we have come this far and how I am still engrossed in the show is quite amazing. Seeing Sawamura and Furuya's development is truly a treat.
Enjoyment and Overall - 8/10
While not as good as other seasons, this still has me watching just for the character development, story and repeatable soundtrack. If you are looking to get into this series and a good show to watch during the pandemic, I would highly recommend this show.

As someone who hasn't read Touch, I feel as if I can give a clear review without having to compare it to something. I understand that I might be missing out on some of the important information, such as the backstory of how they became national champions 30 years ago, the dynamic husband and wife, etc etc. The list can go on and on. However, not watching/reading Touch has allowed me to get a better grasp on what the show did right and wrong.
To me, this anime was solid. The storytelling is always going to be solid, since it was originally by Mitsuru Adachi.
...
I have watched cross game and I picked up similar vibes. The powerful batters always have that clearness in those eyes, there is always one/two girls in the show giving it a romance kind of feel and the atmosphere had the same kind of aura. However, even though it is similar, Mix is unique. An outsider coming into this without knowing anything about Touch, the story's that I heard about what happened 30 years ago were so intriguing. I kept on wanting to just watch more and more. Each of the main games that they had that lasted more than 1 episode (such as the last one) were a hard fought battle. Even then, I didn't know what was going to happen. Usually I tend to predict where the anime is going but for this one that was certainly not the case.
Even though there is a lot of good things about the show, it doesn't give me amazing vibes. Shows that I give a 9+ to are usually ones that I really enjoyed and I would rewatch it anytime. This one didn't strike to me as something I should rewatch. Although the show did everything right, I feel as if it didn't reach the viewer enough. Perhaps I should say it was too bland? I am not sure. It is also hard for me to recommend this because the topic is just so niche.
Another reason why it is hard to recommend this show is because of the other shows that went with it. I thought that this season (Summer 2019) was going to fall short compared to the other reasons and how wrong was I. Shows like Fire Force and Demon Slayer dominated throughout social media and sadly Mix, was just there. Plus, not only did it kind of end abruptly, but there just isn't enough. I am pretty sure that the story is no where near finished but some of the things aren't fleshed out enough. Does that mean I think there needs to be a sequel? Yes. If there isn't one then I will be disappointed. 26 episodes is a 'long anime' but compared to other sports animes such as Kuroko no Basket, Baby steps, Hikaru no Go, this doesn't have enough.
As a result, this anime was a disappointment that it ended far earlier than I wanted to. I would like to watch more but with no sequel announced, I am losing hope at a rapid pace. The charaters, art, sound, story were solid. Everything about this show was solid. I would recommend this show as a result of all of the things it does right. Shounen animes should learn from Mitsuru Adachi style of writing, as all of his works had relatively decent success. TL;DR : Watch this show if you enjoy sports anime or if you are on the fence about watching it. I am sure you won't regret it.

I am surprised that not as many people read manga as I thought. Every manga that I have read so far had all of the scans but it turns out that working on these scans are quite the feat. There are some manga that I want to have finished, such as Rikudou.
This journey that Riku goes through it very tough and it is all about how he is searching for "strength" and how he is trying to get "stronger." This manga gave me Hajime no Ippo vibes as there is clear progression within the story and I'm a sucker for progression as a whole. As
...
I feel as if I am not qualified to talk about manga, I feel as if its important to share this underrated manga.
This manga throws a lot at you, and the scenes themselves are amazing. There are also a lot of life lessons which is always an added bonus. I hope this gets you off of the cusp of whether or not to read this manga.

*Insert Stupid Quote" Reviews nowadays are either filled with people having unpopular opinions and people liking them a lot, or some guy who writes an entire essay on why the show is a "masterpiece." Personally, I try and watch for enjoyment instead of picking apart every little thing within an anime. Anime, in my opinion should be watched with enjoyment rather than be slammed down by little tiny flaws that lowers the overall "score."
Now I am going to tell you why I enjoyed this anime, instead of breaking down every detail.
I must admit, the synopsis is bad. However, if the synopsis is holding you
...
back from watching this anime, fear not. I feel as if they included some of the most irrelevant information possible. If you are even considering watching this anime, I hope that I give you the push to watch it.
This anime sort of follows a very "sports" arc where they train and hope to go to nationals. However, when watching the anime you find that instead of focusing on the "sports" aspect, you are more focused on the characters. That is what set it apart from any regular anime. I love each of the 10 main characters and their personalities make it easy to like them. They all are struggling with something in their life within the sport and outside. Although they don't like to show the weak side of them, each of them makes a commitment to change, especially our main character, Kakeru. When characters grow in anime, I think that has to be the most satisfying thing ever. Even though the anime After the Rain and Violet Evergarden have nothing to do with "sports" I still felt similar vibes from them.
When the anime tells you about who they are as individuals, seeing them succeed makes me happy/satisfied. Seeing things not go as smoothly as I thought was a nice change of pace. Within a race, anything can happen and if you aren't feeling 100% it won't change the fact that you are going to do the race still.
If you aren't sold at this point, this anime was developed by Production I.G. I am sure that you have watched other anime that have been made by them such as Attack on Titan, Kuroko no Basket and especially Haikyuu!! So why not watch this one as well? On top of that, this anime went from around a 7.4* rating from week one to 8.24* rating.
This is for the people who want individual marks on the aspects of things.
------------------
Art - 9.5
Never gets in the way of things which is all I really care about. *It was beautiful*
Sound - 9
Opening 1 was amazing and Opening 2 was forgettable. Either way, it enhanced my experience rather than ruining it.
Character - 10
All of the characters I loved :)
Story - 10
Loved each of the backgrounds and what they had to do in order to overcome obstacles within their live. Finally, something about college stuff instead of high school. Lets go!
Enjoyment - 9
Basically the only thing that matters. The only reason this wasn't a 10 is because at times I felt the ending of an episode was a little bit lackluster.
------------------
To everyone. At least give this anime a try as I think it won't hurt. What is also kind of weird is that the main character looks a little like Kageyama from Haikyuu!! I also liked the little bit of comedy in there as well, made it an added bonus. The drama is also totally justifiable instead of just starting random fights with no reason behind it. Although I tend to find my opinions unpopular, I decided to write this review because I just like writing about things that I enjoy. I hope that you can at least give this anime a chance and feel free to let me know your opinions about this anime as well.
*P.S*
If you are a runner, I feel as if this is a must watch. Without spoiling too much, we find out early on that Haiji, one of the main characters is injured and goes through a phase in his life where he is completely unmotivated. Any sports anime that has a character that I can relate to is always nice since I can feel as if I am not alone in the situation that I am in. Personally, since I have flat feet which can lead to a lot of problems, you always have to find a way to overcome and adapt. Prince is also relatable since we all used to be slow runners :)

The main character is Zuko from avatar the last airbender and he has come to obtain his "honor" by defeating the greatest singer alive. No joke the main character has a scar that covers and makes one side of his face red. lol
Anime wasn't that good, but it wasn't bad. One thing that I was always shocked by is the art and the character designs. They were both pretty top-notch 👌
I do admit that the story overall was interesting. Sure there were some plot twists and I was wrong about some of the stuff (as in predictions on what happens). However, there
...
are obviously loopholes in the story which makes it a no-bueno 👎. *Small Spoiler, skip to the next paragraph* Can someone also tell me why that dude legit sang the same song for most of the episodes? That was really annoying in my opinion and it showed that the anime was being rushed.
It feels nice that the episodes were only 12 minutes but that also means the anime is basically only 6 regular episodes. Trying to get an anime to have a full story in that amount of time is very difficult and I believe that they tried their best but in the end, however it just came off as rushed. No-bueno 👎
Basically if you have some spare time and you like to hear some singing then go for it. However, if you are hesitating to watch this show don't even bother, you probably won't enjoy it. I watch and mainly grade for entertainment purposes so take this review with a grain of salt 👩🍳
7/10

Writing this review might be a little weird because I came into this expecting what the genres said that they were: Comedy, Ecchi, Harem, Romance and School. Instead what I took away was: Comedy and School.
Watching this anime made me relive all of the previous anime that I have either watched. Whether it be the trash romance, trash ecchi or whatever, it was nice to recollect what the majority of people say on shows. Either mentioning the overused protagonists making fun the show itself or the anime industry as a whole. I felt as if this show did a great job delivering that. In
...
short, I would only recommend this show to those who have watched a good amount of anime and heres why.
The story and the characters are not that bad. Its about a guy trying to create the best romance game that he can but I felt as if the plot was moving way too slow. However, I do admit that each of the characters were unique in the sense of their personalities, not their looks. For some reason Eriri reminded me of Taiga from Toradora and Utaha looked like Yukinoshita. Maybe I'm just being too critical here but this kind of let me down a little bit because their personalities were spot on. Regarding the comedy that this show had, I think that was by far the best part of this show. I was literally laughing at some parts of the show and the part where they played the theme song from that specific show (see episode 12) was awesome. Also not to mention that Megumi was a really nice main character as well. Purposely done plain, I thought that she was the best main character out of all of them.
The art and the sound were honestly just up to par with everything. I didn't notice anything that was really bad but I didn't notice anything that was jaw-dropping. However, like I said before the amount of enjoyment that I got out of Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata was a decent amount. It was almost to the point where I felt the HUGE amount of potential that this one had. The only flaw that this anime had is that its not really for newcomers. Newcomers to anime can't really watch this because they won't even understand some of the jokes. I think that as you start to watch more and more anime, you start to see that there are certain things that happen in sports anime, or in romance anime. There might even be some that are in every single anime. However, once you start to understand some of these similarities between the animes, the comedy in this anime is perfect.
In short: I recommend this anime to those who have already watched a decent amount of anime already, as if you do, the experience will be a lot better. :)

Personally, I don't see why this anime isn't as popular as it should be. It feels as if this anime needs a little more attention so I decided to write this review.
As a fan of sports and shounen anime I think that Hinomaruzumou is actually quite original. There are all these anime that have already been done such as volleyball, tennis, boxing, baseball, etc. But never in my life I thought there would be one about sumo. Every single time I watch an anime that is about a certain sport, I think its great that these anime's teach you about how the sports work as
...
well. Now learning about sumo was probably the best experience out of all the sports anime that I have watched. Since the first episode, this anime was screaming "HYPE" right from the get go. I think that learning about different sumo techniques such as slapping or grabbing the belt are very interesting and that is what makes sumo so unique. This also makes it like Hajime no Ippo just toned down a little bit.
The story and art are not totally perfect by any means. Of course there are things that I want to have improved such as like have more background information about the main character Hinomaru. Why does he look that way? These questions got in the way sometimes but overall didn't distract from the main story. The art is quite normal but that doesn't get in the way at all. Most of the time, I don't even notice it. The characters in this show are very likable and the introduction of each them are very smooth.
Overall, I think that this is one of the hidden gems of the season. Like I said before, I am a very big fan of sports and shounen animes so you can take this review with a grain of salt but I am loving this anime. The opening is very cool as well and I can't wait for what is going to come. Not only do I recommend this show to sports anime fans, but for everyone, as I think that it is a great watch this season.
(P.S These are my initial impressions. I am going to be writing a review at the final episode)

(Spoiler is in the second paragraph)
In my opinion, I think that Koi wa Ameagari no You ni is an anime that should be more popular in the romance genre. As a person who regularly watches romance genre, they always mention the popular ones such as Your Lie in April, Golden Time, etc. However,I feel as if this one goes under the radar since I feel as if its score is misleading.
The reason why I feel the score is misleading is because people were sad about what happened to the two main characters. They didn't get together. "Why? Why didn't they get together? Dang it!"
...
I was like this at first when I had watched the anime. However, if you look past the fact that the two MC's didn't get together, you will start to see that there is a deep development for all of the characters in the anime. The characters, the plot, setting, everything is so developed to the point where you can start to understand why certain scenes take place. This is something that shocked me.
Feelings play a very important role in this anime and it can perhaps deal with issues. This anime portrays a very radical idea; the fact that a high school girl is completely head over heels with a man that is a lot older than him. This can make people go away from the anime, but it is original. To my knowledge, the only title that I can relate this to Kotonoha no Niwa and that is only 1 episode. This anime is a whole coaster full of emotions and each episode takes you down a cool ride.
Story (8)
I thought that the story was very original as I said but I felt as if there wasn't enough execution. The lack of execution may just be because there is so much potential that I didn't want it to end, but I felt as if there was a missing aspect that was yet to be filled. Perhaps what happened after the ending? Either way, the story was pretty good but was lacking in execution; hence the 8
Art and Sound (8)
I feel as if the art and sound go hand in hand. There is nothing wrong with the art or sound; not that I noticed anyways. It isn't something that is like "WOW THAT'S AMAZING" but rather its like "Ok👌, this sounds pretty cool and the art style is unique + pretty."
Character and Enjoyment (9)
This is probably why most people rated it so low. Once again, the ending really drove people away from the anime giving it its harsh score. Please try and look past it and see the development of the characters... it is truly something amazing that in my opinion, it rivals that of popular high-score anime's. I personally enjoyed the coaster of emotions and I found it really unique. I happened to binge this all in 4 days since I really enjoyed the unique concepts and ideas. I am sure the manga is just as great as the anime (as a person who doesn't read manga)
Overall and Conclusion (9)
To anyone that is reading this, please give this anime a try. I feel as if there needs to be more people watching these unique concepts so that more of them can be created. Instead of the overused high school romance anime, this is an anime that gave a really unique twist to the romance genre. This anime is a watch for anyone that is even considering to watch it.

Yowamushi Pedal is just your regular sports anime. As this is my first time trying to review an anime, I am just going to give it my honest opinion on it. As someone who is a fan of sports anime's in general, I find that Yowamushi Pedal is probably the best bicycle racing anime. But that doesn't mean that it was amazing. Anyways lets jump right on in (Warning, Minor Spoilers)
Story: 7
I actually thought the story was very original in some unique aspects. Even though it is your classic talented individual (Sakamichi) who never recognized he had a talent for bicycle racing, I thought that
...
the beginning was a very good refresher. I also enjoyed the development of his skill. He was already pretty good to begin with and the training throughout the series made him into a pretty decent racer. The only thing that I did not like about the story and the episode structure is that some parts that only consisted of like 200m for example took around like 15 minutes. I found that to be quite annoying at times, perhaps because I wanted that scene to finish and get rolling on the next action scene, or I was just simply impatient/frustrated.
Art and Sound: 7
I think that this is just a regular anime when it comes to Art and Sound. There is nothing special about it. Like I said in the beginning, I find it to be your classic sports anime. I didn't think that there was anything that stood out (either very good or bad).
Character and Enjoyment: 8/6
I found that the characters seemed to be pretty cool except for a couple. One that had seemed really underdeveloped throughout the series was Makishima. I thought that since he was the climber that worked with Sakamichi, I thought they would go way more in depth into him than any other character. Turns out that wasn't really the case and we saw all of the upperclassmen have flashbacks of their own. My enjoyment factor was a 6 because of the scenes that sometimes took 15 minutes for like 4 seconds in the actual race. Even though they were intense, I just found these episodes to kind of be a waste of time.
Overall and Conclusion: 7
I would honestly recommend this anime to anyone who is interesting in learning about bicycle racing and the sports genre in general. I think that it brings something new to the table since there aren't that many bicycle anime's anyways. Any time that I watch one of these sports anime's I always get a drive to be active and be fit as I am a runner myself.
