The plot is similar. The main character is extremely good in a game he/she just get presented. Behind him/her us always a person dumb enough to study what the main character is doing. The main difference is that in Kakegurui the mc lose at times, but in Akagi it does not

The drawings, the powers and all the story is identical in both of them, I have to say that Akame Ga Kill! story is a bit deeper and better constructed. High School DxD have hentai, Akame Ga Kill! does not (just a bit). Both have a super strange and gifted main character Both generates a lot of hype with the power ups
