When I say that this show (or at least this season of it) is a "copy" of Bakemonogatari, I fully mean and stand by that. If you boil down the plots you can draw a remarkable amount of similarities between the two. For example, you can recap both shows with:

To kinda keep some of my biases separate, this review is split into two parts. The first being my thoughts on the show as a show (the standard “review”, if you will). The second is my own personal thoughts, as someone who actively works with touring DJs in the EDM scene, on everything related to DJing, like what I think they did right/wrong, as well as what I would’ve liked to have seen.

I love this series.

This is very easily the most unique series I have ever seen. Not in terms of plot or characters, but rather the show itself. The art, music, directing; all of it is astoundingly different, which is something I truly commend it for. The music is personally my favourite bit; the score feels so perfect yet out of place at the same time.

For anyone looking to get into this series, know that you're looking at getting into a very speech-heavy work. They talk a lot and they do it fast, so if you aren't one who is able to read subtitles efficiently, it ...

I've seen a lot of people bash this show, saying that it could've been WAY better, and while I do agree for the most part, I still found enjoyment with it. This show is just good ol' cliché isekai. I don't mean that in a positive or negative, that's just how I see it. Personally, I don't think it's a terrible thing though. In an age where all isekais are fighting to catch the eye of the audience by adding twists and turns, it's nice to watch a show where I can just turn off my brain and unwind.
