Harem animes often tend to fall into the comedy category, and these two are certainly no exception to that rule. However while harems such as Love Hina are certainly charming in their own way, this genre of 'battle harems' is definitely where it's at. A plot carrying the story with lots of action, along lovable and occasionally relatable characters thrown in really makes it feel like more of a journey and less like you're watching a fanservice anime.

It's hard to like one series without liking the other. A cheerful cast of characters, most of which with supernatural abilities, going on adventures and defeating enemies through bonds with one another. Both have the power to make you laugh, make you cry, make you excited, and make you feel. My love for One Piece made loving Fairy Tail very easy!

Anime with characters who have supernatural abilities are among some of the best, and One Piece & My Hero Academia are both great about giving us characters with out of the box powers we would never expect! Each show is filled with intense battles of characters using these super natural abilities, in a world where they're told from the start is too big for them to make a difference. If you like one, you're sure to like the other!
