A highly anticipated remake after it's original show in 2012. It ended as quick as it began. It's sad seeing Miyamura talking to his other self that didn't get the luxuries he was afforded - it's sad seeing what things could have been if only a couple small instances changed.

It's understandable the indifference shown towards this show based on critically analyzing the entire anime as a whole. I think that this show shows just how little we have control over our lives and how much you don't really think about. Sure, the story might be "re-used" or "recycled," but compared to other romances, at ... least this one seems to go somewhere - not many romance animes do that. Frankly, rom-coms like this get lots of hate despite it actually 'feeling' different then other romance animes.

Quite honestly for me, this entire anime was one big melancholic trip. I don't know about others, but it's really sad seeing Miyamura, Hori, Ishikawa, Yuki, Hono, Sengoku, Remi, and all the other characters, struggle with their inner-selves. I think this show puts a lot more emphasis on the actual emotions that they each go through, rather than focusing on the whole "love" portion of usual romances. I mean, of course the romance has to be there for the story to even be relevant, but I think this show goes way deeper beyond that.

Life shouldn't be taken for granted. You have to stand up and tread through the sadness of life, otherwise, you'll be stuck wallowing around in it.

I have never been physically exhausted after watching an anime before.

Constantly throughout the show, I was thinking A LOT. I might have overthought some parts of the show by looking at circumstances in my own life, but that does not take away from the fact of how much it tries to delve into the human psyche. This anime will constantly have you thinking, whether it is as simple as 'who likes who' or as complex as trying to understand the characters psyche itself.

This anime relies heavily on psychological premises and basis on what 'love' is and what people do for love. Plot-wise, it is ... coincidence driven in some ways, but past that, the story continuously switches between the major characters and the troubles and drama that each face in trying to comprehend who and why should they love, in a very realistic way. The not-so-subtle sex scenes are purposely there to drive the emotions the writers want to, into your head, while trying to create a lucid situation (some scenes do better than others; At one point I was wondering if anyone would be able to see what I was watching.) Some people might disregard the ending as bad writing, when in reality, it is extremely logical, and is what would most likely happen in reality, and does actually happen in reality.

The characters (aside from being partly coincidental) are extremely realistic. The characters themselves are almost as if they were based off of real people. The many types of love between the characters like unrequited, physical, psychological, as well as even narcissism, are poured into this big boiling cauldron that is the plot of this story.

Past the story as whole, in my opinion, I actually enjoyed the BGM of this anime. If an anime's music MAKES me realize its there and at the same time, makes me want to keep listening to it, as well as fitting the atmosphere of what is happening on screen, it is good in my book. The music itself is very abstract and melancholic.

I thoroughly enjoyed this anime. Maybe a little too well as I was physically exhausted from the drama that this show brought to the surface, by constantly analyzing and thinking about the drama in the story. If I had to describe this anime in three words: Love Is Hard
