This is most definitely the most ridiculously hilarious manga I've ever read and that probably exists up to date. It only took a couple pages right off from chapter 1 and I was already laughing out loud. The protagonist is so funny and I always found myself laughing.

I won't spoil anything of the story and I won't really say anything else.

This manga is for people that like comedies. The entire comedy revolves around the protagonist - ahh, just read chapter 1 and you'll see what I mean - he's so hilarious - from the things he does, his facial expressions, to the things he says.

The ... storyline of the manga is actually quite good and I NEVER found myself bored while reading it.

I have no real complaints with this manga. Read chapter 1 of this manga and then come back to my "very quick" review and decide if my review introduced you to probably the funniest manga to date!

*Quick review:

***Enjoyable characters + bad-ass swords action, comedy, slice of life, some sexual content. Is this for you?

Note: D-O N-O-T judge Samurai Champloo negatively simply because the op/ed themes suck, and time period and setting take place hundreds of years ago in ancient Japan. The anime is very enjoyable!!

Ok then.

*This anime has bad-ass swords-fighting!! The two male protagonists are like complete opposites in everything, but both of them are very enjoyable characters.

... *Megun: he is like a lunatic when he fights. Picture a swordsman that uses break dancing moves as he fights. He's bad-ass (and a horny pervert too) lol.

*Gin: he is the traditional dojo master swordsman. He is super calm, patient, respectful, and everything else opposite to Megun.

*Fuu: she's the female protagonist. She's funnyy, has not much sexual appeal according to Megun and Jin (lol), but she's funny, and cries when Megun and/or Jin get hurt.

*The reason for why the story begins may be really dumb and simple and vague, but it still doesn't change the fact that this is one AWESOME anime under the slice-of life and action genres that you will totally enjoy. :P

*The protagonists are really enjoyable and everyone will like them for sure. The action is kick-ass, as well as the comedy.


===So why should YOU watch Samurai Champloo?===


*Well, if you want to watch a 26-episode anime which has outstanding character development in terms of personality, voice, and the likes, and bad-ass swords fighting which includes two completely different styles, and some nice comedy, and some sexual content, then this is for you!

**The development of the protagonists and the kick-ass action are the strong points of this anime. Anyone who watches this anime, will have a fun time :P This is one of those few animes that are actually worth re-watching all over again :P So give this anime a ashot, and you will NOT be disappointed :P

*I watched most of the episodes in vids.myspace.com. If you can find the subbed ones, then watch the subbed ones, if not, watch them dubbed at myspace.

*Goddamn it. It has been a year since I watched this anime for the first time, and I still can't get over it... So I had to watch it all over again to re-live such a beautiful story that didn't let me sleep the night I finished it, and even now, I still I can't get over it...!! This is one of those animes that make you wish you were a multi-millionaire so you could sponsor animes you really love! I wish a could sponsor this one for a second season... :(

*Put shortly: watch the first episode, and you will instantly fall in-love with this ... anime. I guarantee it! Just be warned: it doesn't matter who you are, what gender you are, this anime will make you cry a lot and you will have a hard time falling asleep that night, and you will wish you were a multi-millionaire so you could sponsor it for a 2nd season. Ask anyone who's watched this anime... they will all tell you they cried a lot...... I warned you, OK?

IMPORTANT INFORMATION: Are you wondering why Ginban Kaleidoscope has only a cumulative rating of 7.63/10.0 ? Well, it is because the anime ONLY ONLY covers the first 2 of the 9 total volumes of the story-line!!! Everyone rates this anime 8 or lower because the anime is not the complete story, so these people do NOT know what happens later in the manga! (I do know what happens! so that's why I rated it high.) (Thought I'd share this important information/facts before starting the review.)

My Review is short: Ginban Kaleidoscope was such a beautiful story. I totally fell in-love with it. Everything, the comedy, the main two protagonists' relationship, the story-line, the drawing style, everything, and especially the relationship between the two main protagonists! This was a beautiful story that just hooked me in in the 1st episode, and will also hook Y-O-U in, right from the very first episode! The story was very enjoyable and each episode just made me go to the next within seconds because it really catches your attention amazingly fast! It is impossible not to love the two main characters. They're the perfect couple! The story was very very unique, very interesting, and most important of all, very ENJOYABLE.

CONCLUSION: Ginban Kaleidoscope is such a beautiful story that is worth re-watching all over again a few months after you finish watching it the first time. This story is a MUST-WATCH and you will definitely enjoy it! I totally recommend it to EVERYONE reading this review!!! Just remember though, the story continues in the novel/manga so that is why people rate it no higher than 8/10, because the anime has an incomplete story-line. This anime is only for those of you that like romance/love animes! :P

I strongly suggest you download the episdoes and not watch them online since the video quality online is low... I have a fast internet connection so it took me less than a minute to download each episode. I recommend you download the first 2 episodes of this anime, and watch them, and then decide, am I already in-love with this series? or not? Here's the link:

*Are you wondering why this anime got a comulative (out of thousands) rating of 8.03/10.0? Well, its because there was no *sequal* or OVA after the anime :(. Everyone wanted more, but they didn't hear our wish for more. Read below for more details.

*This story was amazingly written. Every episode went by so fast and each episode made me want to watch the next and so on.
*The story is about 3 girls that like the protagonist. As expected, the protagonist chose the main girl, but for some reason, I, the viewer, WASN'T HAPPY!!! :( :(
*Japanese writers... I cannot emphasize enough at how much you ... SUCK at writing good endings for romance/love stories!!!!!!!! DARN YOU, DARN YOU, DARN YOU. Japanese writers are experts at f***** up a beautiful story.
*The ending was not "sad" and will not make anyone *cry*, but it rather makes you feel very very very disappointed in the writer. The ending was not sad, nor happy, it just felt wrong for some reason. *This ending was the perfect way of getting a rating of 9.5 to 8.0......
*Don't Japanese writers understand that if they write disappointing/sad/stupid endings, they will get BAD RATINGS???!!! Can't they understand if the fans/viewers are not happy with the ending, the animes will get bad ratings???? How can Japanese writers not understand that????
*Whatever, I'm tired of expressing how disappointed I am. This story was so beautifully and masterfully written... and yet, at the end, the writer HAD TO **** IT ALL UP by writing a disappoint ending that just leaves you thinking " what the heck is this s***? Damn it all, why did I watch this c**p. It just left this... sour feeling... this sour impression in my heart: sad/disappointing/stupid endings really really suck! "
