Produced by the famous ' Production I.G' which produced Kuroko no Basket and being the next sports anime produced by the studio, Haikyuu!! came out with much hype and lived up to it in its own way.

As a sports anime Haikyuu!! is both similar and different compared to Kuroko no Basket while the differences outweigh the similarities. I feel Kuroko no Basket stressed more on competition and its spirit while Haikyuu!! has a slight flavor of slice of life anime.

Now starting with the review of Haikyuu!!

The story of Haikyuu!! is not much different from standard sports anime revolving around clubs in school but rather the ... presentation of characters is somewhat different. The story revolves mostly around Karasuno volleyball club which was strong previously but recently has been in crisis. Some new members join the club who excel in some skills. Now, the new volleyball club is trying to make it to the nationals. Though the story mainly revolves around Karasuno appropriate time log is also given to their rivals.

The Animation regarding the series is quite satisfying and apt for this kind of storyline. The characters were good looking and reflected their behavior.

The openings and the endings were good. Especially the background music was really well done which helps get into the anime many times. It was smooth and fast.

The characterization in the series was somewhat different compared to other sports anime.It is little bit wide ranged and comprehensive. Each character is given importance and sometimes the side characters feel more important than main ones .The main ones being Kageyama who is a genius setter of Karasuno and had a bad attitude in the past and is trying to change it. The other one is Hinata who is a spiker, has awesome reflexes and can jump high. He is straight forward and has no intellect. The other characters are also well driven and unique.

The series carries quite some energy along with it and at many times goes along with a formula. There by depends whether you enjoy some energy along with a slight flavor of slice of life and comedy.

Legend of the Galactic heroes is a unique anime with a characterization consisting of ideal characters unchanging till the end. The possible strength and weakness is its ability to conduct a conversation for, sometimes, nearly the entire episode. It, perhaps, might be by far the best anime for its completeness and idiosyncratic aptness showcasing its ability to succeed in execution.

Story: Set 1500 years in future. Humanity is spread across the galaxy and is divided into two regions. One, being the Imperial Empire, following an Aristocratic rule and the other being Free Planets Alliance, following a Democracy. The story mostly surrounds two characters, Reinhard Von Lohengramma ... of Empire and Yang Wenli of Free Planets Alliance. The story, broadly, could be viewed as clash between ideologies rather than battle between the persons supporting them.

Animation: Though the anime was produced long back it was not a bad experience. It might take around six to seven episodes to get in tune with it. But since it is a long series animation gradually changes from starting till the ending. Characters are mostly reflected in their faces and art style.

Sound: Supported by classic music for opening and ending and in between, makes it nearly perfect for the series. Voice acting is also wonderfully done, each character has unique and most suitable voice acting.

Character: The series has huge number of characters, each receiving may be perfectly suitable time slot. Aside from main characters side characters are also develop throughout the series recurring various times. Each character is given a unique talent and nonetheless are also given their flaws. The series by far exceeds any other anime in this sector.

Enjoyment: Mostly dependent on the individual, since it might be boring for some due to its long conversations. Definitely enjoyable otherwise.

I wouldn't call myself an enthusiast of action/drama series, however, I thoroughly enjoyed the anime. The anime mesmerizes its audience with fascinating action sequences and with captivating story telling.

Story :( Please read the synopsis before reading any further).The setting of the story is quite intriguing in its own way. Set several hundreds of years ago, human race is endangered by titans, who are several meters high and eat humans. Humans are protected by three huge walls namely-Wall Maria, Wall Rose, Wall Sina. The progress of the story with every episode is the asset of the entire series. The series contain no filler episodes, while being ... serious till the end.

Art: The art is absolutely outstanding and precise. It is the forte of the entire anime series. It sets ablaze the already radiant action in the series. I found the art one of the best in recent years maybe due to the fact that this anime actually uses it accurately as none other recently.

Sound: Supported by an astounding opening theme and the sound track is, maybe second to none in my opinion. The background score for the fights might actually be the selling point of the series, while marking its importance alongside art in the anime. This combined with pace make unique and entertaining clash between humans and titans.

Character: The characters in the series are quite orthodox. The main protagonist: Eren Yeager is driven by rage acquired due to his past. He, while having spirit lacks talent. Other main characters in the story are his friends Mikasa and Armin. Armin lacks power and courage, compensating in intelligence. He sits back in fear while the other two move forward. Mikasa is both talented and hard working. She has a dark past and is attached to Eren, tries to save him whenever possible. While the story progresses we are introduced to various characters. While the most noted among them is Levi. He receives a "superman" entrance. He is mostly silent oozing brilliance throughout his presence in the series.

Enjoyment: I found the series profoundly enjoyable for a wide range of audience.

Supported by outstanding sound and art, being accurately paced and possessing best action sequences, in my opinion is one of the best in its genre
